Mini Cup

What is a Mini Cup car?
Mini Cup cars are 9 feet long, 4 feet wide and 30-36 inches high. They are powered by 11 HP Honda 4-cycle overhead valve engines. The drive train is a centrifugal clutch (or torque converter) to a live axle. There is no suspension but the front end is adjustable for caster, camber and ride height. They have steel chassis with full roll cages and have aluminum, fiber glass or molded plastic bodies.
What do they race on?
Mini Cup cars race on asphalt and dirt oval tracks and road coarses. Typical tracks range from 1/8 mile to 1 mile.
Where do they race?
Florida, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Ohio ...
How fast do they run?
40 mph on 1/8 mile oval
55 mph on 1/5 mile oval
65 mph on 1/4 mile oval
75 mph on 1/3 mile oval
85 mph on 1/2 mile oval
120 mph on 1 mile oval
What do they cost?
Used cars are typically $3,000 - $4,000.
New cars are approximately $5,800 - race ready.
