Here at Lucas Racing we have a great plan for starting the new century. We want to invite you to take part in this plan. What is the plan? Before answering that question let me give you some background.
I have been a car owner and driver for 5 years first in the mini-cup division and now the super late model division. I have witnessed the growth of motorsports as you have including the amazing influx of corporate sponsorship. Company logos envelop the Winston Cup cars and there's talk of IndyCar and Cart changing their car's body styles to get in on the advertisement. In all forms of racing the corporate message has gotten louder not only through logo decals on the race cars but also on the haulers.
Something else has been happening in the Triangle area over the past several years - there has been a tremendous influx of people from other areas of the country as well as around the world. As a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ (and pastor of The New Life Pentescostal Church in Benson) I am concerned that though 'God' is being mentioned a lot, there is not enough promoting of God's son, Jesus, our Savior and Lord. We race for fun and see it as an opportunity to meet people from all over and share our experience with Christ.
Our plan is to purchase, equip and letter a race car hauler which broadcasts the fact that Jesus is Lord in giant letters wherever we go to race. In the past we have run tracks in Wake, Wilson, Johnston, Mecklenburg, and Sampson counties. We plan to continue the local racing but will be doing special events in South Carolina and Tennessee. I am excited about letting our witness go out to racers, fans and travelers that see our hauler on the road!

We are requesting sponsorships of $1000. Obviously larger amounts are greatly appreciated and smaller amounts help too.
