New Born Man A

Well, I was born in the Southland
Seventy-some odd years ago
But when I came to Jesus
I was only eleven years old
I’m a new born man
My home is not a shack
I'm walking my Lord's highway
And when I get to heaven
I won't be coming back
My dad's from Cincinnati
My mom's from old Broadslab
I've never had to go without
But I don't like to brag

I love to play my guitar
Been playin' since I's a boy
I can play about two hundred songs
And every one brings me joy

You may not like my appearance
May not like my song
May not like the way I talk
But you sure will like my home
