    Father we Thank you for your Love.   We Thank you for each other.   We Thank you for our sister in Christ, Joyce Massengill.   Knowing her was a privilege and blessing.   Today we celebrate her life and rejoice in knowing that at this moment she is in your presence.

  • Message - How Precious Life Is

    Facts: Four births each second of every day; almost 2 deaths per second of every day; every 30 seconds of every day someone commits suicide;

    We are living in an age where their is a revival of agnosticism, atheism and paganism.   Sometimes is is referred to as the Post-Christian era.   I do not like that term because it implies Christianity is no longer relevant.   What we are seeing is merely a repeat of history.   The unfortunate thing about it is than millions of people are Deceived.   They are Lost.   

    If you are here today and have been swept up by the spirit of antichrist or if you know someone who has been swept up by it, I want to set the record straight.   

    So the Lord created man in his own image, in the image of the Lord created he him; male and female created he them.
    The Lord created man as a spirit being just like Himself with a soul and a body.     

    Jesus is the soul and body of the Creator - the Holy Spirit.     

    Before the birth of Jesus by the Holy Spirit and the virgin Mary, Our Lord appeared as The Angel Of The Lord.     

    Forevermore, Jesus is the express image of the Creator, i.e.     Jesus is how the Creator presents Himself physically.     

    Understanding this explains how Jesus has all power in heaven and earth.     It makes clear why faith in Him is what enables salvation.

    You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for you have created all things, and for your pleasure they are and were created.
    Only the Lord is worthy of worship.     His creation should never be worshipped even though there are millions of people around the world who are environmentalists, Nature Lovers, Earth Lovers and Animal Lovers who never give the Creator the time of day .     

    The Holy Spirit`s pleasure is to give His kingdom to His joint heirs of Christ Jesus .     

    And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there you may be also.
    Jesus is prophesying five things:
    1) His death
    2) His resurrection
    3) His ascension
    4) His Holy Spirit infilling
    5) His return

    In His death He made a place for us through forgiveness of sins.     In His resurrection He came again to the disciples showing Himself alive.     

    In His ascension He took His position at the right hand of power.     

    In sending the promise of His Holy Spirit, He abides in us who have received Him.     

    In His return He will receive us physically unto Himself.     

    Jesus is returning soon!     
    When He does, the dead will rise, we will be caught up together, transformed from corruptible to incorruptible and so forever be with the Lord!

    Jesus says unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes unto the Father, but by me.
    Jesus is the Holy Spirit in flesh.     

    It is necessary to believe this about Jesus in order to be Born Again of His Holy Spirit.     

    Those who reject Jesus, reject His Holy Spirit.     
       ➛ The Way: Jesus is the path to His Holy Spirit.     
       ➛ The Truth: Jesus is the Truth about His Holy Spirit
       ➛ The Life: Jesus is the giver of life by His Holy Spirit.     

    As disciples of Christ we must share this Gospel Truth with everyone in our lives.     

    Our testimony of the Lord Jesus Christ will either be a testimony for them leading to Eternal Life with Christ or a testimony against them in The Judgment leading to Eternal Death in the Lake Of Fire.     

    But as it is written, Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which the Lord has prepared for them that love him.
    This does not just speak to what awaits us at the End Of The Age.     It also speaks to what is now available in heavenly places In Christ Jesus.     

    We cannot see with our physical eyes what is available to us in Heavenly Places.     But we see them clearly with spiritual eyes - eyes that see the Word Of The Lord as the Truth about our existence and His provision for us.     

    Jesus came that we might have Abundant Life .     
  • Invitation

    I know that Joyce wants to see each of you again.   For those of you in relation with Christ Jesus that will happen one day.   If there is anyone here who has never received Jesus as Lord and Saviour you should not leave here without making a profession of Faith.   To do that all you need do is follow this instruction:

    That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that His Holy Spirit has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved.
    This is the encapsulation of Grace, clearly pointing out our part which is faith in Jesus and confession of Him as risen Lord and Saviour.     

    The implication of our part being to believe on Jesus Christ and confess Him as risen Lord, is that He has done everything else!     
    It is why we call it amazing Grace!     
    It is why the gospel is nearly too good to be true!     

    Who raised Jesus from the dead?     
    He raised Himself by His Holy Spirit .     

    For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
    It is Heart Faith that enables the miracle of the New Birth.     

    It is our personal confession of Jesus as Mighty God, Creator and loving Saviour that seals that miracle.

    So, Believe in your Heart that this Jesus who rose from the Dead is God in the flesh and Confess Him as your Lord and Saviour with your mouth right now.   Speak out your confession of Faith by telling the congregation that " Jesus is now my Lord and Savior".   
  • Prayer

    Father,
       ➛ we thank you for each person who has received Christ Jesus today,
       ➛ we thank you for Joyce`s life, for who she was, the lives she touched
       ➛ we thank you that she is now experiencing your Love first hand, that she is now healthy, completely pain free, experiencing the wonders of Heaven in your presence.   

    We ask that the Holy Spirit comfort those that she has left here and that they finish their courses in Relationship with your Son Jesus who will one day reunite them with her in Heaven.   

    In Jesus lovely name, Amen.   

    Obituary:

    Dunn, NC: Mrs.   Joyce Mae Parker Massengill, age 73, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.   The family will receive friends from 6:00PM-8:00PM-Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC.   Funeral Services will be 11:00AM-Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at Banner Chapel Advent Christian Church in Benson, NC.   Rev.   Randy Lucas and Rev.   Shannon Crowell will officiate.   Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.   

    Mrs.   Massengill was born in Harnett County, NC on October 30, 1951 to the late Carlie C.   and Varena Jernigan Parker.   Mrs.   Massengill retired from Meadow School as a bus driver and also worked in the cafeteria.   For many years prior to working, she loved to volunteer at the school.   She attended New Life Pentecostal Church.   She loved cruising around in her mustang with the top down.   Mrs.   Massengill loved to shop, and also loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.   

    Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Joseph Marshall Massengill; son, Joseph Damon Massengill and fiancée, Jennifer; grandchildren, Katelynn Michelle Massengill, and Joseph Carson Massengill; sister, Helen Mc Lamb; nieces, Andrea Lee and Cindy Blackmon.
