Operating Basics for Late Model

Cranking
- Cold
  1. Turn kill switch to ON
  2. Flip toggle to UP
  3. pump accelerator 4 times
  4. wait 20 seconds
  5. press starter button
  6. be prepare to pump pedal to keep alive
  7. keep rev'ed to 2200 rpm until warm
- Hot
  1. Turn kill switch to ON
  2. Flip toggle to UP
  3. pump accelerator pedal half way ONCE
  4. press starter button
Transmission
- Forward
  1. push LEFT lever FORWARD
  2. press clutch pedal in while giving gas
  3. once rolling press the clutch pedal firmly - do not slip the clutch
  4. to shift to HIGH
    1. keep clutch pedal firmly pressed
    2. rev to 4000 rpm
    3. lift foot from clutch pedal
    4. pull LEFT lever straight BACK
- Reverse
  1. push RIGHT lever FORWARD
  2. press clutch pedal in while giving gas
  3. once rolling press the clutch pedal firmly - do not slip the clutch
- Stopping (while in HIGH)
  1. push LEFT lever FORWARD (to neutral)
  2. press brake pedal
- Notes:
  - The left lever must be in neutral to use the right lever
  - The right lever must be in neutral to use the left lever
  - Never press the clutch while shifting
Roll-in
1. Follow the procedures above under Transmission for getting on the track
2. Test the brakes as soon as you get into high gear go on the track
3. Keep plenty of distance from the cars in front of you (4 car lengths)
4. Shift out of high when slowing to exit the track
Hot laps
1. Use the high line all the way around the track
2. If you come down from the top - check your mirror to make sure noone is coming
