Dear Roger Smith, Jr. and Judge,

 

I have had the pleasure of knowing Judy Lucas 13 years.  She has been a caregiver to

all three of my children who are 13, 10 and 3 years old.

 

I was referred to her in 1996 by a friend whose children she kept on occasion.  She kept

my first child who suffered from colic and cried all day, one to two days per week.  Judy

was loving, attentive and patient and a God-send to me.

 

She kept my second child from infancy until she was 18 months old at which time we

moved from the area.  When I had my third child in 2007, Judy kept her on a drop-in basis

which allowed me to keep doctor's appointments and run errands.

 

Over the 13 years I have known Judy Lucas, I have grown to love her and her family.

She is not only a caregiver but also a cherished friend.  My children still ask to visit her.

I have always felt more than comfortable leaving my children at her home and have told

friends that it is like leaving them with my Mom.

 

I feel she is a reliable and loving caregiver.  I would have her watch my children any time.
