Instead of courting the woman himself he decided to do it by proxy.   He enlisted the services of a handsome friend to communicate his words of love to Roxanne whom he desired.   

Many who believe on Christ Jesus think of Him as being the 'friend' of God who never shows Himself but interacts with us by His proxy, Jesus.   

Cyrano's 'relationship' with Roxanne was weird, unnatural and unsuccessful.   

God Is Not Cyrano.   There is no other visible God than Christ Jesus who is the express image of that God (divinity) who is the eternal, omnipresent, omniscient Holy Spirit.   

When we think about our relationship with God, we aught never imagine a being other than Christ Jesus, the image of the Holy Spirit in us.   

Jesus says unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet have you not known me, Philip?     he that has seen me has seen the Father; and how say you then, Show us the Father? - Joh 14:9 Jesus states categorically who He is - the express Image of the Father.     Joh 18:5

Our Creator is in us and we are in Him.   We are one with our Creator ( Jesus).   

He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. - Joh 1:10 Jesus is Creator.      This is one of the greatest revelations and saddest facts in the Bible.     The Jews who saw Him, heard Him, witnessed healings, miracles, exorcisms did not receive Him.      Today, America, founded as a Christian nation, has willfully disconnected itself from Christ Jesus who created all things.

At that day you shall know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you. - Joh 14:20 What day is He referring to?     Two days: 1) Pentecost 2) Return On the day of pentecost the disciples were filled with the Holy Spirit - the same spirit that made Jesus the Christ.     They went about doing His Words and people took note that they had been with Jesus.      At His return everyone will see Him and every knee will bow with every tongue confessing that Jesus Christ is Lord.     We will return with Him in glorified bodies to rule and reign with Him.

But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwells in you. - Rom 8:11 This is one of those verses that nominal Christianity has gutted.      Yes, the Holy Spirit is the One who will change us from Corruptible to Incorruptible at the appearing of our Lord (1Co 15:52.) However, we now have the 'quickener' in us to make us alive today.     He is the One who implements the Provisions of Grace in our Lives according to our Faith in God's Word.      Unless we Walk in the Spirit we will not experience the Power that He represents.      We Walk in the Spirit by calling into play the Word Of God - Hearing, Believing, Receiving and Doing it ( He Be Re Do).      All things for Life and Godliness are ours (2Pe 1:3,) but they are appropriated according to the Power that Works in us (Eph 3:20.) We are not to be Sick, Weak or Poor.     We are supposed to be Healthy, Strong and Prosperous.     And we can be in the Holy Spirit and the Word.

So worship the Lord in Spirit ( Holy Spirit) and in Truth ( Jesus) because that is what He, Jesus, wants.   

the Lord is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. - Joh 4:24 God is the Holy Spirit.     The Holy Spirit is God.      Any Worship that does not acknowledge the Holy Spirit does not acknowledge God.     Such Worship is futile.      God's Word is Truth.     Joh 17:17 Any Worship that does not Honour the Truth does not acknowledge God.     Such Worship is futile.

In case you are thinking about God being in heaven, understand that heaven is the Spirit Realm.   God is Spirit so He is in the Spirit Realm.   

We are New Spirit beings In Christ and so we exist in the Spirit Realm (heaven) with the Holy Spirit who is resident in our bodies by Spirit Baptism.   

And has raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: - Eph 2:6 The New Spirit that we are In Christ Joh 3:5 2Co 5:17 is sitting in heaven in Christ in the Father.     We are now One with Him in the Spirit Realm Joh 3:6. But to a large extent this new status is just potential as far as the Physical Realm is concerned.      The challenge for each believer is to enable the New Spirit being to manifest in our thoughts, speech and deeds.      This requires an act of our will for our minds to be transformed to the Mind Of Christ Phi 2:5. To the extent that we allow the Word and Holy Spirit to renew our minds is the extent to which we manifest as Sons Of God 1Jn 3:2 operating in the fruit and gifts of the Holy Spirit and so experiencing Abundant Life Joh 10:10.
