| It is a fact in genetic science that organisms produce After His Kind.
Many people balk at the concept, but it was, and is, God's plan to produce children After His Kind. And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth. - Gen 1:26 |
We know that often people are referred to as sheep rather than children. And accordingly, many believers see themselves as the sheep of His pasture who follow the good shepherd, Christ Jesus. But the question is: "Are we sheep or are we SonsOfGod?"
Compared to Creator God we are minuscule in every sense of that word. As humans we are created beings. And so we are reasonably called sheep.
But something truly amazing happens to us in the New Birth. We cease being only human, we become children of God. Instead of having just the breath of God's life in us, we are born of His Spirit by His Word.
In our physical body we are limited by the programming that God built into the human genome. In our physical self, we can never rise above our human condition. Considering the fact that the spirit of every human was and continues to be corrupted by sin, there is no hope for humanity. But God!
In Christ Jesus God has redeemed us from our hopeless state, not just cleaning us up a little so that we can start again, but He has birthed us of His genome which is Spirit without any limitations but Truth, goodness, love and grace. Jesus has given us Eternal Life and Abundant Life in the New Spirit being that is birthed by the Holy Spirit and Word through Faith. Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit. - 1Jn 4:13 |
We are now a part of God and He is a part of us. We are one with Him by virtue of sharing the same Spirit. We are no longer sheep who is a diffent species from the shepherd. We are now brothers of Christ Jesus, our God in human flesh. For both he that sanctifies and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brothers, - Heb 2:11 |
Our identity is no longer as feeble, hopeless humans but rather as powerful Sons Of God through whom our Father the Holy Spirit wants to manifest glory. But we must receive this new identity in order for us to begin to reach our potential In Christ. And we cannot receive our new identity until we release and disclaim our old identity.
The DNA in your cells is packaged into 46 chromosomes in the nucleus. As well as being a naturally helical molecule, DNA is supercoiled using enzymes so that it takes up less space.
Try holding a piece of string at one end, and twisting the other. As you add twist, the string creates coils of coils; and eventually, coils of coils of coils. Your DNA is arranged as a coil of coils of coils of coils of coils! This allows the 3 billion base pairs in each cell to fit into a space just 6 microns across.
If you stretched the DNA in one cell all the way out, it would be about 2m long and all the DNA in all your cells put together would be about twice the diameter of the Solar System. -- Hannah Ashworth
