Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. - |
I know we worship change in our society today but change is not of the Lord. It is of Satan who has always sought to change the law of the Lord.
Biblical history records several instances of the Lord exercising judgment against wrong doers:
→ the Flood
→ Babel
→ Sodom and Gomorrah
→ Ninevah
→ Tyre and Sidon
to list a few of the major examples of the Lord's judgment.
What precipitated these judgments?
Rebellion which resulted in wickedness and evil.
Those who would teach that the Lord has changed His mind about morality assume something that the Lord said Himself could not be.
The very definition of a liar is "a person who makes statements that are false".
We see that there is no Biblical premise to support the Lord changing His mind about anything He has said.
So, from where does the notion that the Lord has changed His mind on moral issues come?
Now that that is established let's consider the next question.
Is a person deemed innocent of breaking a law because they are ignorant of it or disagree with it?
I know of no instance where ignorance of or disagreement with a law resulted in a defendant being exonerated of breaking that law. And this is the arena of unjust men. How much more ridiculous it is to believe that such argument would stand in the presence of our righteous Creator and Saviour,
Yet, we see ministers actually teaching that sin is no longer sin, that the Lord has changed His mind.
If those who teach such are right then God Must Apologize to those sited above who were judged and destroyed for their rebellion, wickedness and evil.
I for one am quite sure that our Lord will not be apologizing. He is the righteous judge and He will judge according to His Word. He will judge based on what He wrote in the human souls at their birth.
Jesus, who is the author and finisher of our faith which provides Grace, will judge the living and the dead. Those who have received Him as Lord and Saviour will be deemed justified by faith. Those who have rejected Him will be deemed condemned by their unbelief.
That begs the question: "What does it mean to 'receive' Jesus?"
Jesus is the Incarnate Word of the Creator. He is the Truth about our Creator. He is the image of our Creator.
But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of the Lord. - |
Now we know that no one measures up to the standards of morality expressed in the Word though believers aspire to them. What then separates the accepted from the rejected if all of us fall short?
We come back to rebellion.
A person who resists the devil and his arguments while submitting to the Lord and His standards is acceptable.
When a person receives Jesus, they receive Him in His totality - not just in part.
No one can be accepted by the Lord Jesus while rejecting His authority. For the Lord to accept such would invite heaven to collapse as invalid.
No, our Lord will never apologize. He has not changed. He will not change,
I must change and you must change in order to be received by Him.
I tell you, No: but, except you repent, you shall all likewise perish. - |
Forasmuch then as Christ has suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin; - |
For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries: - All that is past should be forgotten. |
Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead. - |
