Title: Spirit Salvation and Soul Salvation

When Adam sinned he died Spiritually.   His corrupted Spirit was eternally separated from God - it ceased to live (Gen 2:17).    But Adam did not die Physically for hundreds of more years.   His Soul continued to live in his mortal Body (Gen 5:5) .

So, Christ came to effect Two Salvations (Joh 10:10).
1) Spirit Salvation
2) Soul Salvation

These two Salvations have been confounded into one experience by many Believers but they are totally distinct.   Understanding this enables us to deal with the apparent conflicts about Salvation.

The gift of God is Eternal Life (Rom 6:23).    That is Spirit Salvation.

Now, as to Soul Salvation (where Soul is your Mind and Emotions), there has to be a Transformation (Rom 12:2).    It is the process by which we are no longer conformed to the World but to the Mind Of Christ (Phi 2:5).

The extent to which we are transformed is the extent to which we experience Abundant Life in the here and now (Eph 3:20).    It determines whether we live victoriously as Producers or spiral into Weakness and neediness (Gal 6:8).

We must Grow in Grace and Knowledge of Christ Jesus (2Pe 3:18) to experience Soul Salvation in our Mortal Mind and Body.   This Grace and Knowledge enable us to Walk in newness of Life (Rom 6:4).

But all believers do not grow in Grace and Knowledge of Christ.   And even Paul himself admitted that he had not attained (Phi 3:12_).    So........when Christ returns the Corruptible Mind and Body will put on Incorruption and our Redemption will be complete (Rom 8:23).
