One of the things that you see in the Bible is frequent Rehearsal of the Promises of God and His performance of those Promises.   

This Rehearsal has the effect of increasing Faith and Confidence about God's performance in the current situation.   

There is a societal benefit of Rehearsal that far outweighs the negative attitude of the young who see everything as new and History as something to be ignored.   

Rehearsal brings continuity to Society across generations.   Without it, there is instability.   The new generation ends up making the same mistakes of past generations.   

But Rehearsal at the individual level is extremely important as well.   Many times we refer back to our experience in order to make decisions or perform an activity.   

Rehearsal is also necessary for us not to forget all God's many benefits.   All too often we do forget past blessings from the Lord.   

Satan is a Thief and he Steals whatever we do not value and Rehearse.
