We hear the word RINO used quite a bit these days.   And it is a reality that many conservatives do not hold conservatism as a conviction but rather a leaning.   

A radical is a person who is not centered.   They are clearly and staunchly entrenched in their convictions.   Radicals are often seen as dangerous.   For that reason most people do not want to be considered radicals.   

And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lies in wickedness. - 1Jn 5:19 The Physical Wickedness of the World is terrible but what is much more terrible is the Spiritual Wickedness.     As we encounter Spiritual Wickedness we see the stark contrast between us and those who serve Satan.

Now that is a radical statement by the Apostle John.   Most Christians do not hold this conviction.   John was a radical, while most Christians are not.   

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour: - 1Pe 5:8 Be not Deceived is a warning to all who would entertain conversation with the Devil.

Satan is a radical.   He never swerves from his purpose to destroy humanity.   

He that believes and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believes not shall be damned. - Mar 16:16 Paul echoes Christ when he says we are Saved by Grace Through Faith (Eph 2:8.) As to Water Baptism, it is public evidence of Faith in Christ.     It is not evidence to God as He knows the Heart of man.      Paul makes it clear that Spirit Salvation is a result of Heart Faith in Christ Jesus and oral Confession that Jesus is the resurrected Christ in Rom 10:9,10. Public Confession of Christ confirms our Salvation to ourselves and those to whom we Witness.     It is a precursor to lifelong sharing of the Testimony Of Jesus Christ.

That sounds pretty radical doesn't it?   
The fact is that God does not compromise and He does not change.   

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. - Jam 1:17 Only good things come from God.      God does not change over time and He is always good and light and truth.      The enemy, Satan, is the inspiration for all that is evil.     Nothing good comes from the enemy.      Never accuse God of causing or condoning evil.     That is confusing Him with Satan.     It is blasphemy.

Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. - Heb 13:8 God does not Change.     Christ Jesus is God in the Flesh and He does not Change (Mal 3:6.) How is it that we live in a World which worships Change?     Yes, the inventions which improve the quality of life are good.     But the negative Changes in Morals and Culture represent the direct influence of Satan.      The Enemy and his children tout the negative Changes as good when in fact they are Evil (Isa 5:20.) What God has declared still stands.     His definition of Good still stands.     And His criteria for acceptance into His Kingdom still stands (Mar 1:15.)

For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore you sons of Jacob are not consumed. - Mal 3:6

So, what does all this have to do with politics?   
Everything.   If our principles are founded on God's Word, then they are excellent principles and should not be compromised.   

If our principles are not founded on God's Word they are worthless at best and destructive at worst.   Accordingly, they should be abandoned.   If a person refuses to abandon evil principles they should be disqualified from leadership roles.   

Now, that is a radical statement, but it is consistent with wisdom and good and life all of which proceed from our Creator.   

Radical Conservatism then is uncompromising adherence to the principles of our Lord which are emphasized and manifested in Christ Jesus:
- Love
- Life
- Truth
- Liberty

How this plays out in society is through:
- personal freedom and opportunity,
- people helping people,
- Godly education, entertainment and sports
- less government
- demand for honesty

Now, it is guaranteed that the radical left will take exception with what has been said here (as does Satan with God's plan).   But an important aspect of Radical Conservatism is that it does not concern itself with opposition except to defeat it.   

It was that kind of commitment that empowered our Lord to finish His unpopular work.   

It was that kind of commitment that enabled the apostles by the Holy Spirit to build the Church of Jesus Christ in the face of Judaism and paganism.   

It was that kind of commitment that enabled the Founding Fathers to resist oppression and (by the Grace of God and many lives) bring America into existance against the powerful Great Britain.
