If I take a step forward and a step back where am I?
If you give me a million dollars and I give it back to you, am I better off?
Why are the answers to these questions obvious and yet otherwise normal people will make weak arguments that DaylightSavingsTime makes sense?
DaylightSavingsTime MAKES NO SENSE.
The day is still 24 hours and the amount of daylight is still determined by the tilt of the Earth relative to the Sun.
I think the idiotic DaylightSavingsTime concept came along at the same time the idiotic forced Integration idea did.
What was wrong with forced Integtation? Excessive Government involvement in children's Education.
As a result of forced Integration the school Consolidation movement started.
Consolidated schools had these 'advantages[:
1) more distance to be traveled by students
2) earlier leave home times
3) later arrive home times
4) higher fuel and transportation costs
5) less parental involvement in Education
So, to keep buses from running into the night a new idiotic idea was sprung to prop up the previous idiotic idea.
DaylightSavingsTime
And so everyone's internal clock gets screwed up two times a year with an innumerable number of late arrivals and early arrivals
Get rid of DaylightSavingsTime and go back to community-based schools where the parents have control of the Education of their children.
