Title: Are Christians supposed to enjoy Life?

What was Perfect Adam and Eve supposed to do before they sinned?

There was no sinner to evangelize.
There was no drug addict in need of care.
There was no unwed mother to tend to.
There were no hungry and homeless to feed.
There were no broken-hearted to comfort.

What were they supposed to do with all their time?

And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. - Gen 1:28
Producing Children is priority 1 with God.

Exercising our God-given Authority to improve the World is priority 2.

I see.   They were to have Children and use their God-given Authority over the Earth to shape it according to their Vision.

Anyone (I am speaking to normal people) who has had Children and raised them in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, enjoys their Children and pours themself into their Children.

Anyone (again I am speaking to normal people) who has experience with the land, its plants and animals enjoys the Beauty and Wonder of God's Creation.

So, maybe we do have an answer to the question: "Are Christians supposed to enjoy Life?".
It is a resounding YES .

But what about the Ministry?
If you can't Minister in Joy, stop doing it.

Everything in our Life should be enjoyed from the perspective of it being provided in Love by our Heavenly Father.

Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God. - 2Co 9:11
God has blessed us with all things for Life and Godliness.     We are to take advantage of those Gifts, using them to enjoy Life and Magnify God through Thanksgiving and Praise.

For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God. - 2Co 4:15
Think about the sound of Praise and Thanksgiving that goes forth from the mouths of all those who have Received the Grace of God by Christ Jesus.

We long to be with Him and His in the MillennialKingdom wherein His Glory will fill the Earth.

Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; - Eph 5:20
Our Life is for the purpose of bringing Pleasure to our God.     In order for us to enjoy Life He blesses us beyond our ability to Receive.

A person who is Right with God will respond to those Blessings with overflowing Thanksgiving and Praise.

Thanksgiving will always be a big part of True Worship.

But doesn't EnjoyingLife cause us to be Carnal?
No, not Fellowshipping with God in the Word and HolySpirit results in Carnality.

It is not an either-or.   We can be in Intimate, Personal Relationship with God and enjoy His Gifts at the same time.   Actually, that is what God intended from the beginning.
