Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in the lusts thereof.    - Rom 6:12

To Reign is to have Dominion .     We are Free from Bondage and ought not to allow ourselves to come back under it.      Note that it says do not let Sin Reign in your Mortal Body .     It cannot Reign in your Spirit which is Perfect .     Your Body has not yet been Redeemed .     It is Corruptible .     If will one day put on incorruption .     At that time, it will be immune from Sin .      But, at the moment, your Body is Mortal meaning it is subject to Death .     So, you must Mortify the Lusts of the Flesh in order to preserve it.     - Col 3:5

But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwells in you.    - Rom 8:11

This is one of those verses that nominal Christianity has gutted.      Yes, the Holy Spirit is the One who will change us from Corruptible to Incorruptible at the appearing of our Lord ( 1Co 15:52 ).      However, we now have the 'quickener' in us to make us alive today.     He is the One who implements the Provisions of Grace in our Lives according to our Faith in God's Word .      Unless we Walk in the Spirit we will not experience the Power that He represents.      We Walk in the Spirit by calling into play the Word Of God - Hearing, Believing, Receiving and Doing it ( He Be Re Do) .      All things for Life and Godliness are ours ( 2Pe 1:3, ) but they are appropriated according to the Power that Works in us ( Eph 3:20 ).      We are not to be Sick, Weak or Poor .     We are supposed to be Healthy, Strong and Prosperous .     And we can be in the Holy Spirit and the Word .

For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.    - 1Co 15:53

For our redemption to be complete everything corruptiple must be replaced with incorruptible, This includes not only our body but also our soul with its memories and emotions .

So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory .    - 1Co 15:54

Awesome.     we leave behind the body of death !

For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh .    - 2Co 4:11

For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life .    - 2Co 5:4

Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever.      Amen .    - 1Ti 1:17

Breaking this verse down → King - Jesus is king of kings so we are talking about Jesus → Eternal - Jesus is the incarnation of the Word who has always existed → Immortal - Jesus was mortal and died but His body was translated into immortal → the only wise God - Jesus is God (not one of three) and He is the only God → honor and glory - Jesus is worthy of all praise and glory and honor → for ever and ever - There never has been and never will be another God .      When we truly honour and praise Christ Jesus as He deserves the Holy Spirit manifests in and through us as Sons Of God .

Who only has immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man has seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting .      Amen .    - 1Ti 6:16

Our Lord is exceptional, beyond any comparison with others.

But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who has abolished death, and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel: - 2Ti 1:10

Christ Jesus has Finished His Work and made us Victors over Death to enjoy both Eternal Life and Abundant Life through the Gospel of Grace Through Faith .
