Most Christians will read the last phrase of this verse and ask: "If I am not supposed to walk as man, how am I supposed to walk?"
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. - Rom 6:4
As men we are Weak and Fearful.
But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. - Rev 21:8
As SonsOfGod we are Confident and Victorious.
When we read the verses above we see how important it is for us to embrace our NewLife in the Spirit. There really is no viable alternative.
For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. - Rom 8:6
If I have told you earthly things, and you believe not, how shall you believe, if I tell you of heavenly things? - Joh 3:12
But the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. - 1Co 2:14

And be not conformed to this world: but be you transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. - Rom 12:2 |
