Jesus is a stumblingblock to the Jews because they count their genetics as sufficient for salvation.       

The gentiles see spirituality as foolishness preferring to focus on the carnal.

For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
Our Common Faith is the Gospel of Jesus Christ who is the Holy Spirit in flesh, sacrificing Himself for us to be redeemed, Born Again, sanctified, Spirit Filled and made One with Him by Grace Through Faith

Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
Those princes heard His words and saw His miracles but they chose to be deaf and blind.

For though he was crucified through weakness, yet he liveth by the power of God.       For we also are weak in him, but we shall live with him by the power of God toward you.
The Gospel is delivered by the Holy Spirit through a weak human vessel.

Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:
Jesus had to go to the cross but this did not relieve the guilt the people bore for their wicked act.

Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.
This statement is to the house of Israel who, to this point in time, have refused to acknowledge the Lord of glory - Jesus Christ.       

What a terrible tradition the Jews adopted in rejecting their Messiah.

Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.
The Name Of Jesus incorporates the purpose, the life and the hope of Christ Jesus.       

Those who murdered Him did not want to hear His name, yet Peter clearly accuses them of His murder and proclaims Christ Jesus as healer of the lame man.

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Water Baptism is symbolic of what actually happens in the Spirit Realm.       

Paul explains that the old Sin Nature, that we were, is dead and buried with Christ so that we, by Grace Through Faith, are raised with Him as New Spirit beings with the opportunity and power to operate in the newness of Abundant Life .

O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?
It would take the bewitching of Satan to undermine a New Creature into believing that they are somehow responsible for their New Life.

And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
We crucify the flesh by wilfully and purposefully determining that we will walk in the Spirit by faith rather than according to the flesh by sight.

But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.
Always recognize the gifts of the Holy Spirit and glory in Him who has made you, redeemed you, filled you and above all, loved you.

Then delivered he him therefore unto them to be crucified.       And they took Jesus, and led him away.
The political power turns Jesus over to the religious power to kill the King of glory, the Saviour of the world.

And so Pilate, willing to content the people, released Barabbas unto them, and delivered Jesus, when he had scourged him, to be crucified.
Political leadership always responds to the powerful and persistent.

And when they had crucified him, they parted his garments, casting lots upon them, what every man should take.
More prophecy fulfilled.

Let Christ the King of Israel descend now from the cross, that we may see and believe.       And they that were crucified with him reviled him.
He could not descend from the cross but He could rise from the grave.

The angel tells them what has happened and that they should not fear.

Ye know that after two days is the feast of the passover, and the Son of man is betrayed to be crucified.
Jesus reminds them again of His impending death.       

Two days before the Passover meal would have been Sunday Nissan 12, 31 AD.

Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ?       They all say unto him, Let him be crucified.
hate for the truth is the worst position a person can find themselves in.       It binds them to death.

And the governor said, Why, what evil hath he done?       But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified.
Appealing to reason in a person filled with hate is a waste of time.

31 
Then released he Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified.
Though Pilate's heart was not in agreement, his actions killed Jesus.       Our faith will produce works if it is real.

And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots.

Then were there two thieves crucified with him, one on the right hand, and another on the left.

The thieves also, which were crucified with him, cast the same in his teeth.

And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.
Messengers from the Lord always speak peace to those who are tender hearted seekers of the Lord.

And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
Freedom is ours in the New Man.       
Bondage is of the Old Man.       Let him go.       He is dead.
