First of all , the Holy Spirit responds to our faith in Christ Jesus by baptizing us into Christ Jesus.
This is the New Birth in which we become New Spirit beings.
This is Spirit Salvation wherein we receive the gift of Eternal Life.
Secondly , for those who ask Him, the Holy Spirit baptizes our soul and body with Himself.
This is Spirit Baptism in which we are filled with the Holy Spirit.
In so doing, the Holy Spirit empowers us to effectively serve the Kingdom.
Tongues, Prayer Language and Spirit Gifts operate out of the this baptism.
These two baptisms are distinct aspects of Jesus Baptism which may occur at the same time or at different times. The timing is dependent on
→ the teaching and
→ the Spirit manifestation to which the hearer is exposed as well as
→ the receptivity of the hearer.
