The seed of a living thing contains all the characteristics of the thing so that the seed can reproduce itself.   

When we are born of the Holy Spirit we receive His DNA and so are New Creatures who are New Spirit beings with the potential to manifest the Spirit Fruit and Spirit Gifts.
