The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. - 2Pe 3:9

So, though Christ does not want anyone to Perish the ball is in their court to ComeToRepentance. They must choose to turn away from self-will and submit themselves to the Will of God.

But go you and learn what that means, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. - Mat 9:13

Here we see that the only thing that Christ can do is to call Sinners to Repentance. A call must be heard and it must be followed by a willingness to hear and respond positively to the calling.

She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn you: go, and sin no more. - Joh 8:11

So, Grace eliminates Guilt before God for Sin, but the individual must choose to avoid Sin.

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. - Rom 6:23

Those Sins that we refuse to Repent of will not Condemn us before God causing us to lose EternalLife but it will cause us to be Weak, to be needy and to be ineffective.

Repentance is choosing Life. Refusing to Repent is to choose Death is this earthly walk.
