Is God That Good? by Barry Bennett
Rather than looking for a theological position that excuses our passivity and lack of faith, why don’t we get stirred up to walk in the fullness of the blessing of the gospel? And I am sure that, when I come unto you, I shall come in the fulness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ. |
Are misery, defeat, and discouragement God’s will for His children?
Shouldn’t we be walking in the goodness of God?
He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? |
What are the “all things” that God will freely give us?
Are you even interested?
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to the Lord must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. |
God is looking for those who truly seek Him.
If you knew there was treasure buried in your backyard, would you invest in a shovel?
Is God’s treasure worth your time?
Is poverty reflective of God’s abundance or is it of the enemy?
Is God in favor of the bondage of poverty?
Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full. |
These are just a few of the declarations and promises that can be real to the believer.
Many are living far below what is possible because they are fixated on the wrong thing.
You can’t meditate on and feed on the darkness of the world and expect to experience the promises of God. You can only have faith for what you believe God has provided.
