 The HolySpirit is the Power of God to effect the Will of God according to the Word of God.

Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; - Heb 1:3

In the passages below we see how the HolySpirit operated in Creation, how He sustains Creation, how He operates upon men, and how He was misunderstood by men.

And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. - Gen 1:2

And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is? - Gen 41:38

And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, - Exo 31:3

And Moses said unto him, Enviest you for my sake? would God that all the LORD's people were prophets, and that the LORD would put his spirit upon them! - Num 11:29

And Balaam lifted up his eyes, and he saw Israel abiding in his tents according to their tribes; and the spirit of God came upon him. - Num 24:2

And when they came there to the hill, behold, a company of prophets met him; and the Spirit of God came upon him, and he prophesied among them. - 1Sa 10:10

Then the spirit came upon Amasai, who was chief of the captains, and he said, Yours are we, David, and on your side, you son of Jesse: peace, peace be unto you, and peace be to yours helpers; for your God helps you. Then David received them, and made them captains of the band. - 1Ch 12:18

And the Spirit of God came upon Azariah the son of Oded: - 2Ch 15:1

And the Spirit of God came upon Zechariah the son of Jehoiada the priest, which stood above the people, and said unto them, Thus says God, Why transgress you the commandments of the LORD, that you cannot prosper? because you have forsaken the LORD, he has also forsaken you. - 2Ch 24:20

All the while my breath is in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils; - Job 27:3

The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD has anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; - Isa 61:1

O Belteshazzar, master of the magicians, because I know that the spirit of the holy gods is in you, and no secret troubles you, tell me the visions of my dream that I have seen, and the interpretation thereof. - Dan 4:9
