Title: Sacrificing oneself in service to God on behalf of others

The example of Jesus is at its core, SelfSacrifice - to the Father's Will, to the taking on of our Sins and to a cruel Death. It is never wrong to Sacrifice oneself for others. "Greater love has no man than to lay down his life for a friend." Joh 15:13

A Christian who is not willing to Sacrifice himself for others has not truly learned the example of Christ nor entered into His suffering and so will not enter into His Glory.

In Charles Dickens' "A Tale of Two Cities" a sad, pathetic man (Sydney Carton) comes to the point where he sacrificially takes the place of another man to die on the guillotine. His last words:

It is a far, far better thing that I do, than I have ever done; it is a far, far better rest that I go to than I have ever known.

This is what I mean by 'Glory'. Our Death need not occur, but our life must be offered as was Isaac's.

I beseech you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. - Rom 12:1
