Yerdsticks, Scales, Laws and Money are things that are used to measure other things.
Without Standards we would experience Confusion our of which would spring Conflict and Violence - Chaos.
When the U.S. 'switched' from the English scale to the Metric scale it led to much Confusion, frustration and expense (two sets of tools).
