There is something in all of us that connects us to God.
In some people it seems that connection is very weak. In others it is strong.
People of Faith recognize the source of those things which are good in Humanity.
People bereft of Faith see Humanity as an end to itself and an authority unto itself.
Those people believe in some common human values which they fail to see as the ResidueOfGod.
For I Say, through the Grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to Think of Himself more highly than he ought to Think; but to Think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of Faith. - Rom 12:3
The "measure of faith" is part of the ResidueOfGod that is in each of us. To the extent that we apply that Faith to the Faith of Christ Jesus we are BornAgain of God's Spirit.
Those that refuse to use the "measure of faith" are those who Paul described thusly:
And even as they did not like to retain God in their Knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate Mind, to do those things which are not convenient; - Rom 1:28
Things that are "not convenient" are Perversions of many types coming from the spirit of Rebellion and LawLessNess.
Those who are BornAgain tap into the Power of the Kingdom and enjoy AbundantLife.
The thief cometh not, but for to Steal, and to Kill, and to Destroy: I am come that they Might have Life, and that they Might have it more Abundantly. - Joh 10:10
In this verse we see the divergence between those who respond to the ResidueOfGod (measure of faith) and those who deny it.
