The steps toward the Knowledge Of God:
   1.   Acknowledge Him
   2.   Seek Him
   3.   Hear Him
   4.   Believe Him
   5.   Receive Him
   6.   Obey Him
   7.   Be Him

Acknowledge Him:

The fool has said in his heart, There is no God.   They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that does good.    -

for he that comes to God must believe that he is -

Seek Him: I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.    -

But seek you first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.    -

Hear Him: Hear me now therefore, O you children, and depart not from the words of my mouth.    -

O earth, earth, earth, hear the word of the LORD.    -

But he that received seed into the good ground is he that hears the word, and understands it; which also beareth fruit, and brings forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.    -

Believe Him: Jesus said unto him, If you canst believe, all things are possible to him that believe.    -

And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved, and your house.    -

For with the heart man believe unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.    -

Receive Him: That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you shall be saved.    -

As you have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk you in him: -

Obey Him: Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.    -

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.   Amen.    -

And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.    -

And he said unto them, Go you into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.    -

And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.    -

Be Him: Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.    -

The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.    -

For you are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.    -

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: -

Being God is only possible through the indwelling Holy Spirit who is God.   When we offer ourselves as living sacrifices to the Holy Spirit to work through us we have the Mind of Christ and are, in fact, God in Flesh.   

Until a person reaches that place in Christ where they be God they have not fully attained the Knowledge Of God.

Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of the Lord: I speak this to your shame.
Our knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ comes from His Word and His Holy Spirit.       

Those who do not know the Word Of The Lord or have rejected the Holy Spirit do not know the Creator, Jesus Christ.       When a person does not know the Lord they will follow some other god which may in fact be their own self.       

Such as do not know the Lord are living in the sin of unbelief which is the mother of all lesser sins.       

Those who know the Lord Jesus by His Word and Holy Spirit are awake to the fact that they are righteous because the Holy Spirit is in them, and so they walk in it.       .       

Summary:
   → Our righteousness is by faith and gift.       
   → The unpardonable sin is unbelief.

Elect according to the foreknowledge of the Holy Spirit Father, through sanctification of the Holy Spirit, by the obedience of Jesus Christ in shedding His blood: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.
`the foreknowledge of God` speaks to the fact that our Holy Spirit Father sees the end from the beginning.       

`sanctification of the Spirit` speaks to our perfect New Spirit being born of the Holy Spirit.       

`obedience and blood` speaks to Christ Jesus` obedience to the prophetic Word and His Holy Spirit that led Him to shed His blood for all mankind.

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of the Holy Spirit, and bringing into captivity every thought to the lordship of Christ;
The strongholds of the enemy are imaginations - ideas, opinions and philosophy - which resist the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ

The worst stronghold in the church is that which has resisted the knowledge of the Holy Spirit who is the Spirit Of Christ Jesus .       

Jesus came for the express purpose of us receiving His Holy Spirit and so be conformed to His image .       

What `imagination` is it that exalts itself over the knowledge of the Holy Spirit?       
It is the `imagination` that there is a `person` in the godhead who is not Christ Jesus who is worthy of worship.       

We must give all honour, praise and glory to Christ Jesus.       To hold another `imagination` of God than Jesus is idolatry.       
Furthermore, to resist the Holy Spirit, is to resist Christ Jesus Himself.       

Let your understanding of `God` begin and end with the Lord Jesus Christ
   → in whose name you are saved
   → who wields all power in heaven and earth
   → who will judge the quick and the dead at His appearing.

Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of the Holy Spirit, and of Jesus our Lord,
Increasing in knowledge of Christ increases the level of peace one experiences and increases the flow of Grace.

Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of the Lord, you have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:
Jesus had to go to the cross but this did not relieve the guilt the people bore for their wicked act.

That you might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of the Lord;
We walk worthy of Christ when we appreciate His deity and the finality and perfection of His work.       

We appreciate Christ when we fellowship with Him in the Word and the Holy Spirit.       

When we fellowship with Him we grow in Grace and knowledge of Him.       

That Grace and knowledge of Christ translates into us being a living witness for Christ.       

The Fruit that we bear is two-fold:
1) the character of the Lord comes through and
2) people are drawn to the Lord by our testimony.       

The Root is appreciation of Christ.       
The fruit is the work of the Holy Spirit in and though us.

7 
Hear the word of the Lord, you children of Israel: for the Lord has a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor kindness, nor knowledge of the Lord in the land.
When Israel rejected the Lord Jesus Christ they went from bad to worse.       Before the rejection they were backslidden in darkness.       After their rejection of Christ they were reprobate, cursed and doomed.

8 
For I desired kindness, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of the Lord more than burnt offerings.
Our Lord wants us to be like Him.       After all, we were created in His image.       So, He has made it possible through His shed blood for us to be cleansed and filled with His Holy Spirit by which we manifest His wisdom and character.

9 
Then shall you understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of the Lord.
The first step toward gaining Knowledge Of God is to meet Him.       In order for us to meet Him God made Himself a Body containing His Soul (Word) and filled with His Holy Spirit.       
The Lord Jesus Christ is that Mighty God .       

We are made in the image of God.       This means that we can study human makeup and come to some understanding of the basic makeup of God.       According to a human has
   → a spirit
   → a soul and
   → a body.       

Our spirit defines our nature and value system, and it is the inspiration for our words and actions.       

Our soul gathers information and forms opinions based on the information with respect to our value system.       

Our body is the vehicle by which we gather information which is used by our soul and spirit to motivate us to speak and to act.       

The pursuit of the Knowledge Of God is to be our goal in Life .       

The Knowledge Of God comes through meditating on His Word (which is Truth) and fellowshipping with His Holy Spirit (who is the Spirit Of Truth).

10 
O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of the Lord!       how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!
Understanding the second part of this verse requires understanding of the first part of the verse.       
   → His judgments are unsearchable in the sense that they are never exhausted.       
   → His ways are past finding out in the sense that there is always more of Him to explore.       

The Holy Spirit has not hidden anything from us.       We are part of Him in the New Birth by His Word by His infilling.
