The Lord that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwells not in temples made with hands; It doesn't even make sense that the Creator of all things would live in something that His creation made. |
And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. |
For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. |
For the word of the Lord is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. |
You compass my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways. |
You have beset me behind and before, and laid your hand upon me. |
Where shall I go from your spirit? or where shall I flee from your presence? It is comforting to kniw that He will never leave nor forsake us. |
If I ascend up into heaven, you are there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, you are there. When we run to Him rather than away from Him, we find life more abundantly. |
If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; |
Even there shall your hand lead me, and your right hand shall hold me. |
That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: |
But you, when you pray, enter into your closet, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father which is in secret; and your Father which sees in secret shall reward you openly. Prayer is communication with the Lord. It is a personal matter. It is an intimate thing. It is besmirched by anything that is not sincere. |
I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go: I will guide you with mine eye. |
For his eyes are upon the ways of man, and he sees all his goings. |
