An American is a person who espouses historical American principles.
A Citizen is a person who has official standing in a country.
An American and a Citizen may be two different things.
Being a Citizen is passed by birth or by meeting requirements for citizenship.
Being an American is a state of the heart. It is a system of beliefs.
An American believes:
- in the God of the Bible
- our rights come from that God
- in Freedom
- in respecting the rights of others
- in limited government by consent
- in equal justice under the law
- in individual responsibility
- in helping others to become Americans
Every Citizen and every prospective Citizen should assess whether they are or want to be an American.
Americans will not compromise on these principles.
Those who do not agree with American principles should leave the country.
