The following is from Will Of God ⇒ Most Christians defer to the will of the Lord. Unfortunately, most Christians don't know the will of the Lord.
Instead of searchng the scriptures to find out the Lord's will, they make assumptions based on tradition and experience. The result is that Christians have settled for less than the Lord's best while non-Christians are never exposed to the Truth.
Can we really know the will of the Lord? Yes!
How can we know the Lord's will? By searching His Word, by listening to the holy Spirit, by praying in tongues.
The most important way to know the Lord's will is to read and meditate on His Word.
The following scriptures tell us what the Lord will do. But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him. |
The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed , a refuge in times of trouble .(a refuge: Heb. an high place) |
For the oppression of the poor , for the sighing of the needy , now will I arise , saith the LORD ; I will set [him] in safety [from him that] puffeth at him.(puffeth: or, would ensnare him) |
The secret of the LORD [is] with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant .(and: or, and his covenant to make them know it) |
When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up .(take: Heb. gather me)  The Lord puts people in our lives for a space of time who we depend upon, but ultimately He sustains us. |
I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go : I will guide thee with mine eye .(guide: Heb. counsel thee, mine eye shall be upon thee) |
Come , ye children , hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the LORD . |
To the chief Musician , A Psalm of David . Blessed [is] he that considereth the poor : the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble .(the poor: or, the weak, or, sick)(in time: Heb. in the day of evil) give and it shall be given unto you. |
The LORD will preserve him, and keep him alive ; [and] he shall be blessed upon the earth : and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies .(thou: or, do not thou deliver) |
The LORD will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing : thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness .(make: Heb. turn) |
[Yet] the LORD will command his lovingkindness in the daytime , and in the night his song [shall be] with me, [and] my prayer unto the God of my life . |
Be still , and know that I [am] God : I will be exalted among the heathen , I will be exalted in the earth . |
For this God [is] our God for ever and ever : he will be our guide [even] unto death . |
And call upon me in the day of trouble : I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me. |
Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth [his] conversation [aright] will I shew the salvation of God .(that: Heb. that disposeth his way) |
Hear , O my people , and I will testify unto thee: O Israel , if thou wilt hearken unto me; |
I [am] the LORD thy God , which brought thee out of the land of Egypt : open thy mouth wide , and I will fill it. |
For the LORD God [is] a sun and shield : the LORD will give grace and glory : no good [thing] will he withhold from them that walk uprightly .  The love of the Lord for us is boundless. He wants to give us the desires of our hearts. We soon find that He and He alone satisfies us. |
My covenant will I not break , nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips . |
Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high , because he hath known my name . |
He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I [will be] with him in trouble ; I will deliver him, and honour him. |
With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation .(long: Heb. length of days) |
He will regard the prayer of the destitute , and not despise their prayer . |
He hath given meat unto them that fear him: he will ever be mindful of his covenant .(meat: Heb. prey) |
The LORD hath been mindful of us: he will bless [us]; he will bless the house of Israel ; he will bless the house of Aaron . |
He will bless them that fear the LORD , [both] small and great .(and: Heb. with) no one is excluded from His Grace. Thos who are excluded have excluded themselves by unbelief. |
He will not suffer thy foot to be moved : he that keepeth thee will not slumber . |
The LORD will perfect [that which] concerneth me: thy mercy , O LORD , [endureth] for ever : forsake not the works of thine own hands . |
He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry , and will save them. |
The LORD preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy . |
Turn you at my reproof : behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you. |
Of the increase of [his] government and peace [there shall be] no end , upon the throne of David , and upon his kingdom , to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever . The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this. |
He will swallow up death in victory ; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces ; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth : for the LORD hath spoken [it]. |
And it shall be said in that day , Lo, this [is] our God ; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this [is] the LORD ; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation .  This will be the shout of those who are caught up to Him. |
In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah ; We have a strong city ; salvation will [ God] appoint [for] walls and bulwarks . |
And therefore will the LORD wait , that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted , that he may have mercy upon you: for the LORD [is] a God of judgment : blessed [are] all they that wait for him. |
For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem : thou shalt weep no more : he will be very gracious unto thee at the voice of thy cry ; when he shall hear it, he will answer thee. |
Now will I rise , saith the LORD ; now will I be exalted ; now will I lift up myself. |
For the LORD [is] our judge , the LORD [is] our lawgiver , the LORD [is] our king ; he will save us.(lawgiver: Heb. statutemaker) |
Say to them [that are] of a fearful heart , Be strong , fear not: behold, your God will come [with] vengeance , [even] God [with] a recompence ; he will come and save you.(fearful: Heb. hasty) |
For I will defend this city to save it for mine own sake, and for my servant David's sake. |
Behold, the Lord GOD will come with strong [hand], and his arm shall rule for him: behold, his reward [is] with him, and his work before him.(with strong: or, against the strong)(his work: or, recompence for his work) |
Fear thou not; for I [am] with thee: be not dismayed ; for I [am] thy God : I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness . |
For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand , saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee. |
Fear not, thou worm Jacob , [and] ye men of Israel ; I will help thee, saith the LORD , and thy redeemer , the Holy One of Israel .(men: or, few men) |

[When] the poor and needy seek water , and [there is] none, [and] their tongue faileth for thirst , I the LORD will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them. |
I will open rivers in high places , and fountains in the midst of the valleys : I will make the wilderness a pool of water , and the dry land springs of water . |
And I will bring the blind by a way [that] they knew not; I will lead them in paths [that] they have not known : I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight . These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.(straight: Heb. into straightness) |
The LORD is well pleased for his righteousness' sake; he will magnify the law , and make [it] honourable .(it: or, him) |
When thou passest through the waters , I [will be] with thee; and through the rivers , they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire , thou shalt not be burned ; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. |
Yea, before the day [was] I [am] he; and [there is] none that can deliver out of my hand : I will work , and who shall let it?(let it: Heb. turn it back?) |
Behold, I will do a new thing ; now it shall spring forth ; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness , [and] rivers in the desert . |
For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty , and floods upon the dry ground : I will pour my spirit upon thy seed , and my blessing upon thine offspring : |
I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight : I will break in pieces the gates of brass , and cut in sunder the bars of iron : |
And [even] to [your] old age I [am] he; and [even] to hoar hairs will I carry [you]: I have made , and I will bear ; even I will carry , and will deliver [you]. |
Declaring the end from the beginning , and from ancient times [the things] that are not [yet] done , saying , My counsel shall stand , and I will do all my pleasure : |
And I will make all my mountains a way , and my highways shall be exalted . |
Sing , O heavens ; and be joyful , O earth ; and break forth into singing , O mountains : for the LORD hath comforted his people , and will have mercy upon his afflicted . |
Can a woman forget her sucking child , that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb ? yea, they may forget , yet will I not forget thee.(that: Heb. from having compassion) |
For the Lord GOD will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded : therefore have I set my face like a flint , and I know that I shall not be ashamed . |
Behold, the Lord GOD will help me; who [is] he [that] shall condemn me? lo, they all shall wax old as a garment ; the moth shall eat them up . |
For ye shall not go out with haste , nor go by flight : for the LORD will go before you; and the God of Israel [will be] your rereward .(be: Heb. gather you up) |
Incline your ear , and come unto me: hear , and your soul shall live ; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, [even] the sure mercies of David . |
Let the wicked forsake his way , and the unrighteous man his thoughts : and let him return unto the LORD , and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God , for he will abundantly pardon .(the unrighteous: Heb. the man of iniquity)(abundantly: Heb. multiply to pardon) |
Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters : I will give them an everlasting name , that shall not be cut off . |
I have seen his ways , and will heal him: I will lead him also, and restore comforts unto him and to his mourners . |
I create the fruit of the lips ; Peace , peace to [him that is] far off , and to [him that is] near , saith the LORD ; and I will heal him. |
Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD ; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth , and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father : for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken [it]. |
The glory of Lebanon shall come unto thee, the fir tree , the pine tree , and the box together , to beautify the place of my sanctuary ; and I will make the place of my feet glorious . |
Whereas thou hast been forsaken and hated , so that no man went through [thee], I will make thee an eternal excellency , a joy of many generations . |
For as the earth bringeth forth her bud , and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth ; so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations . |
And it shall come to pass, that before they call , I will answer ; and while they are yet speaking , I will hear . |
As one whom his mother comforteth , so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem . |
Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen : for I will hasten my word to perform it. |
Wherefore I will yet plead with you, saith the LORD , and with your children's children will I plead . |
And he said unto me, Son of man , stand upon thy feet , and I will speak unto thee. |
And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten , the cankerworm , and the caterpiller , and the palmerworm , my great army which I sent among you. |
And it shall come to pass afterward , [that] I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh ; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy , your old men shall dream dreams , your young men shall see visions : |
And many nations shall come , and say , Come , and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD , and to the house of the God of Jacob ; and he will teach us of his ways , and we will walk in his paths : for the law shall go forth of Zion , and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem . |
And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground ; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field , saith the LORD of hosts .(destroy: Heb. corrupt) |
And he saith unto them , Follow me , and I will make you fishers of men . |
Thy kingdom come . Thy will be done in earth , as [it is] in heaven . |
And Jesus put forth [his] hand , and touched him , saying , I will ; be thou clean . And immediately his leprosy was cleansed . |
And Jesus saith unto him , I will come and heal him . |
But go ye and learn what [that] meaneth , I will have mercy , and not sacrifice : for I am not come to call the righteous , but sinners to repentance . |
Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men , him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven . |
Which were born , not of blood , nor of the will of the flesh , nor of the will of man , but of God . |
All that the Father giveth me shall come to me ; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out . |

And this is the will of him that sent me , that every one which seeth the Son , and believeth on him , may have everlasting life : and I will raise him up at the last day . |
No man can come to me , except the Father which hath sent me draw him : and I will raise him up at the last day . |
I am the living bread which came down from heaven : if any man eat of this bread , he shall live for ever : and the bread that I will give is my flesh , which I will give for the life of the world . |

And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work , and will preserve [me] unto his heavenly kingdom : to whom [be] glory for ever and ever . Amen . |
Saying , Surely blessing I will bless thee , and multiplying I will multiply thee . |
