For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. - Heb 4:2
This verse tells us that unless the Word is mixed with Faith it has no effect, it manifests no Power.
The Word is powerful. It is God's Word. It cannot fail. It will accomplish its purpose. Isa 55:11
However, our attitude toward the Word determines whether or not that Power is released. Heb 3:19
Faith is the expectation that the Word will manifest what it says. Heb 11:1
That Expectation must be a heart-felt expectation (Rom 10:9,10.) The expectation is strong. It is assurance. It is Confidence. It is Rest and Peace.
The ball is in our court.
God has spoken. His Word is Spirit and Life. Joh 6:63
Releasing ourselves from Doubt and Fear to Believe what the Living God says determines whether or not we see and experience the promises of God's Word. Rom 4:16
"Releasing" requires us to give up on our own ideas, our own strength, our other sources, our plan B and simply Believe the Word.
This is difficult but it is necessary.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart; and lean not unto your own understanding. - Pro 3:5
