The Blessing of the Gospel by Barry Bennett And I am sure that, when I come unto you, I shall come in the fulness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ. (Rom. 15:29)

What is the ‘fulness of the blessing of the gospel?’ As we know, the gospel is Good News.

It is the news of God’s love, Christ’s redeeming sacrifice, the promise of the Spirit, reconciliation, healing, abundance, strength, peace, joy, faith, righteousness, vision, purpose, freedom from fear and much more.

David said: “and forget not all his benefits” (Psalm 103:2)

Paul said: “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ” (Eph. 1:3)

Peter said: “knowing that you are thereunto called, that you should inherit a blessing.” (1Pet. 3:9)

Getting our minds renewed to the kingdom reality of blessing seems to be the biggest hindrance to most believers.

We are often overwhelmed with the circumstances of a fallen world, the feelings of inadequacy and fear, the constraints of education and money, and the responsibilities of relationships and jobs.

Who has time to ‘seek first the kingdom?’ And yet, that one adjustment in our thinking is the key to unlocking the fullness of the blessing of the gospel!

God’s nature, heart and purpose are to bless His children.

Are you walking in the fulness of the blessing of the gospel?

You need to see it with your heart and believe it before you can truly enter in.

He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? (Rom. 8:32)
