Soul is a bit of a trigger word for me as I have associated it with carnality (desire for food, water, breath, emotions, etc). even though a spiritual connotation is implied. I do not believe all souls will live forever as an annihilationist. (Math:10:28,Rev. 16:3). Psuche is used interchangeably in the NT with "life" implying it can have an end (Math:10:39). ( implies that Jesus has control (thru the Father) over His soul to lay it down and take it back up.
Some of above references were cherry-picked from "School of Life". Yes we are created in His image and became "living" souls (). Does that negate the above comments about Psuche/life as the Word chose to use "living soul "as opposed to what?
