Most severe accidents are caused by:
1. Poor visibility
2. Late caution flags
3. Over aggressiveness,
4. Inexperience
5. Stupidity - when the caution comes out, get out of the throttle
Unlike Nascar, most car owners cannot afford a new car for each race. Trashing cars
is not racing even though Daytona and Taledega fans may disagree.
There is nothing worse from the racer or fans perspective than a 'race' which is
mothing more than one caution after another.
Tracks should keep track of caution causers and after so many 'charges' the racer
should be parked for a race (or more).
Note to drivers: It's not about you, it's the car.
If the car can't do it, neither can you.
