There is an invisible “force field” around many believers that hinders them from truly enjoying their walk with God.
This force field is the idea that God’s purpose for their life is filled with potholes, thorns, poverty, sickness, and perhaps even tragedies.
God is seen as a mysterious puppet master.
Who knows what He might have planned? We just have to endure, hang on, and hopefully make it to the end.
The promises of the Bible are often met with responses such as,
→ “not in this life,”
→ “I tried that and it didn’t work,” or,
→ “I don’t know why God won’t do that for me.”
The truth is, He’s already done it for you, and He has committed Himself to bless you!
If your first thought to that statement is filled with doubt, then you just bumped into the “force field” of unbelief.
It has taken me years to understand what was holding me back in some areas of my life. I saw great progress in many things, but in others I felt blocked.
Perhaps I had reached my peak in the blessings of God. One day the blinders came off and I began to see that the problem wasn’t with the God, it was in me.
I simply didn’t believe that God could be that good – to me!
I finally decided to cast down all negative thoughts of unworthiness, guilt, and doubt, and began to expect more. More than I felt I had a right to expect.
I finally realized that it wasn’t about my rights based on my performance, but my rights base on His love for me.
If I could believe, I could receive.
When it says that all of His promises are “yes and amen,” , it means just that.
His “yes” isn’t the problem. It’s our “amen” that is the problem.
We often subconsciously change it to “yes and maybe,” “yes and hopefully”, or “yes but probably not.”
Unbelief is destroying more blessings that we can imagine.
What desire do you carry in your heart?
What would bless you?
What would you do for someone else if you could?
What would bring you joy?
God is for you!
→ He is always “yes and amen.”
→ He gets glory when you are blessed.
Don’t be afraid to be blessed!
Don’t let unbelief rule in your heart.
Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full. |
