The person who coined "Is you is or is you ain't, my baby?" had some issues with grammer but certainly knew how to communicate.

Human relationships are important to us.

Knowing where we stand in a relationship makes all the difference in our peace of mind.   It determines the amount of trust we have for that person.   It determines how much time we want to spend with them, how much time we think of them.

Certainty is also important in what we know.   I 'know' many things for which I must take someone else's word for it's certainty.

Is what I 'know' actually true?

Trust is an important quality in our lives.   It has many benefits not the least of which is peace of mind.

On the flip side, distrust unsettles our minds.

You can easily see the connection between trust and faith.

Trust requires certainty.
faith requires certainty.

With respect to the following, substitute 'Christ' for 'you'

Is you is or is you ain't Love?

Is you is or is you ain't Faithful?

Is you is or is you ain't my Saviour?

Is you is or is you ain't my Healer?

Is you is or is you ain't my Deliverer?

The answer to each of these questions is a resounding Yes !

If you do not have 100 percent certainty about the answer to each of these questions Satan has stolen the Truth from you.

The first step in recovering what has been stolen from you is identifying the problem.

As mentioned above, what we 'know' is questionable because many times we have taken someone's word at face value.

Sometimes the person we trust is only passing along something that they received from a person they trust.   And so on.   .   .

How do we know who to trust?
God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged. -
Until we are willing to Believe the Word Of God regardless of 'evidence' to the contrary we are not prepared to appropriate Grace Through Faith.

The Lord is telling us unequivocably to trust Him even if you must distrust everyone else!

So, your certainty may be founded on untruth if it is not founded on the Word Of The Lord.

We willingly choose who we trust.   Until your confidence in them is lost, you continue to trust them.

By an act of your will you need to trust the Lord because He is your creator, your savior, your healer, your deliverer.

Yes He is!
Yes He is!
Yes He is!
