A condition where consciousness is practically suspended    

but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.   

Sleep is Good for the Physical man.   

Sleep is Bad for the Spiritual man.   

The New Creature has no need for Sleep.   It Rests in the Peace of God but it should never Sleep.   

What happens when the New Creature Sleeps ?   

The Enemy plants Tares - Bad seed in our Minds and Bad seed in our Society.   


Take ye heed, Watch and Pray : for ye know not when the time is.    Jesus exhorts us to Watch what is going in from the perspective of His Word and the Wisdom of the Holy Spirit.   

When you Sleep you cannot Watch.   


Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the Dead , and Christ shall give thee Light.    So, when we awake from Sleep we Receive the Light which enables us to discern the times.   
And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowring.   O ye Hypocrites , ye can Discern the face of the sky; but can ye not Discern the Signs of the times?    So, real Hypocrisy is: not walking in the Light of Revelation , not walking in the Spirit.   It is walking in your Sleep.   

We are Blessed mightily with material riches.   After we Eat we Play and then we Sleep.   


16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.   
17 Because thou sayest, I am Rich , and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and Poor , and Blind , and Naked :
18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be Rich ; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine Eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest See.    This is not a warning of losing our Salvation but it is a warning that lukewarmness causes us to fall into the enemy`s hands who Steals , Kills and Destroys.   

The exhortation is that we refocus on Spiritual things.   Our needs will then be met and most importantly our Eyes will be anointed to See the events of this world in Light of Spiritual Truth.   


Consider and hear me, O Lord my God : lighten mine Eyes , lest I Sleep the Sleep of Death ;
