Title: Prophecies of the Messiah

Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
This is the most amazing prophecy ever uttered.

The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them has the light shined.
Because of Adam's sin all humanity fell into darkness because of the Sin Nature that our dead spirits took on.     The curse of death was upon us.
Jesus was born of a Virgin and prophesied to be God with us - Immanuel.

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
This conflicting description of a single being could not have come from a rational mind.     It came from the Holy Spirit who would fulfil these words in Christ Jesus.

Jesus was born of woman and His Holy Spirit and so He is the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father.     This means that the Father begat Himself!

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Jesus.     Jesus is the body of the Holy Spirit.     We are made in the image of our Creator.     We are Spirit Soul And Body and so also is our Creator.     His name is Jesus.

Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever.     The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.
Jesus' Government spans Heaven and Earth and is Eternal.     For a period of time He will sit upon the literal Throne of David in the Millennial Kingdom.     But even after the New Heaven And Earth are created He will still Reign.

The Zeal of the Lord is the Holy Spirit who birthed Jesus, filled Jesus, raised Jesus and Transformed the Body of Jesus.

Who has believed our report?     and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed?
The report of Isaiah was mind-boggling and so many of his day did not believe his prophecy.

Unfortunately, the people who lived during its fulfillment did not believe the report either.

Many do not believe His report today even though it is only by believing the report that any person is saved.

For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he has no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
The ground that Jesus grew up in and ministered to was ground hardened by tradition, blindness and stubbornness.
The Messiah came humbly as a common man with common physical features.

He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
The Jewish leadership which consisted of Scribes Pharisees And Hypocrites despised Jesus and plotted against Him from the beginning.

Our Lord's heart was broken by rejection He endured.     In His brutal death the Jews turned their faces away in a combination of shame and reproach toward Him.

Surely he has borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, struck of the Lord, and afflicted.
The physical life of Messiah was spent healing and delivering the people from their sorrows.     But, in the end, the people turned their backs on Him as He took their reproach upon Himself.

But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
Jesus was guilt free.     The suffering He bore was for us.     The reproach He endured was ours.     In His loving sacrifice He purchased our peace and healing.

All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.
Our disconnection by rebellion against the Holy Spirit created a chasm of separation between us and Him.     Our Lord Jesus bore the punishment for that rebellion in His own body.

By the obedience of our Lord Jesus Christ we are now reconciled to the Holy Spirit such that He abides in us and we abide in Him.

He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he opens not his mouth.
Jesus submitted Himself to the death of cross fulfilling the requirement of the shedding of blood for the remission of sin.

He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation?     for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.
Jesus was treated unfairly by His accusers.     His life was cut short by His enemies.     He even died for the transgression of His murderers.

The question about who will declare His generation is interesting.     All who believe on Jesus are required to declare His generation by preaching the Gospel of His kingdom.

And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.
Jesus died between two thieves.      He was buried in a rich man's sepulchre.

Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he has put him to grief: when you shall make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.
How did the Holy Spirit get pleasure out of our Lord being ridiculed, bruised, beaten, spit-upon, pierced and murdered?
The Holy Spirit sees the end from the beginning.
So, He saw past the suffering to the innumerable host of the redeemed who will worship Him In Christ Jesus as a result of that suffering.

He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.
The Holy Spirit has required the blood of a perfect sacrifice to cover the sins of the people.

What knowledge did Jesus have that enabled Him to justify us?     Jesus knew the scriptures.     He knew that the Holy Spirit would honour His Word about sin and redemption through the sacrifice of a perfect lamb.

Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he has poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
The Holy Spirit has given all Power in Heaven and Earth to Christ Jesus for His Obedience and Faithfulness.     Jesus is now our Intercessor, Mediator.and High Priest.     We are Eternally Secure In Christ Jesus.
