 The Problem with drug abuse is Spiritual.   When a person does not Know where they came from, why they are here or where they are going, they see life as pretty much pointless.   Why not have some highs even if you Die early?   

We are not going to fix the drug Problem externally.   It will take each person who is Tempted to throw their Life away for short-term Pleasure coming to realize there is Hope and a future.   

Who can guarantee Hope ?   Who can guarantee a future ?   

Only Christ Jesus who is the Way , the Truth and the Life.   

Parents, teachers, friends and loved ones need to stop keeping their Faith private.   The Secular Education , the Sports , the good times don't carry a person into Abundant , Eternal Life.   

There is no substitute for Relationship with Christ.   It's a waste of time to even look for one.   

On Heroin...    Heroin doesn't kill people any more than guns kill people.   People kill themselves when they choose to go down the recreational drug use path.   

The background to the Gospel is Spiritual Law which is laid out in the scriptures.   

The soul that sins shall die.   

The wages of sin is death.   

Sin is anything what causes hurt.   

For just a moment forget about the importance of receiving Christ as Saviour.   How many people are brought up in homes which teach their children the basic laws of God ?   How many schools reinforce these truths taught at home?   

We have become a nation of enablers.   We try to fix things that go wrong when we Sin rather than confronting the real issue.   

It is sad when any addict dies.   But we all die.   25 yrs or 100 yrs is nothing in Eternity.   Enabling a person to escape the fact that there are consequences to Sin does no one a favor.   

The first step to Salvation is to admit your are on the road to hell.   After you admit that, you have to determine whether or not you are comfortable with that destination.   

If you are not comfortable with heading for hell, you can be Saved by receiving the Gift of Eternal Life through Faith in Jesus Christ.   If you are comfortable with hell as your destination, no one can keep you from it - not even God.   

Many people rejected Jesus when He walked the earth.   They are dead now and in hell.   It is a sad reality that many today are rejecting Christ and will end up in hell.   Again, whether they live 25 or 100 years on this earth makes no material difference in the end.   

Addicts are not just victims but they are their own perps.   

I would never discourage anyone from showing love and compassion for someone who is hurting by ministering to their suffering, but the best way to show real Compassion and Love is to tell them the Truth , and if they Receive it, to set them Free with it.
