| Confidence is the attitude which comes from Believing in your Heart .
Confidence results in action and action produces results.
God expects us to have Confidence .
What is the basis for Confidence ?
Actually, those are the things which generate self - Confidence .
What if You have very little or none of those things that lead to self - Confidence ?
Answer: You're probably a Loser .
And even if You have self - Confidence You may still Lose .
The Reality is that self - Confidence is deceptive . It is also fleeting.
Again, God expects us to have Confidence .
What kind of Confidence ?
Confidence in Christ Jesus !
Let's look at some very pertinent Scriptures regarding Confidence .
Psalm 118:8
It is better to Trust in the Lord than to put Confidence in man.
Proverbs 3:26
For the Lord shall be thy Confidence , and shall keep thy foot from being taken.
Philippians 1:6
being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a Good Work in You Will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ :
The Secular world Understands the importance of Confidence . The Education System spends much Time trying to develop a child's self - Confidence .
Many Times they try to Help their self-esteem by rewarding the Child for effort rather than results.
Any Confidence that we have which is Not based in Reality Will eventually get us in trouble.
We See Examples of this on TV where people try things out of self - Confidence and end up injuring themselves.
If a Child has a Delusional , self - Confidence they Will eventually crash and burn. Reality Will catch up and they Will suffer Defeat .
Once again, God expects us to have Confidence .
So, where does the Good kind of Confidence come from?
John 15:5
I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in Me , and I in him, the same bringeth forth much Fruit : for without me ye can do nothing.
The last part of that is a humbling statement - "for without me ye can do nothing". It undermines our self - Confidence .
Philippians 4:13
I can do All things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
That is an exalting statement. It explodes our Confidence in Christ in us.
Yes, the Weak are inadequate. But so are the Strong .
It is Christ , the equalizer, who empowers to succeed, to make a difference.
Hebrews 10:35
Cast Not away therefore your Confidence , which hath Great recompence of reward.
The reward comes from your actions which proceed from your Confidence in Christ .
How do we operate "through Christ " ?
Christ is the incarnate Word of God . We cannot operate through Christ without a Knowledge of the Word of God .
But Christ means "annointed one". So, we also Need to be annointed. The annointer is the HolySpirit .
Operating "through Christ " can Only happen when we operate in accordance with the Word under the unction of the HolySpirit .
Spend Time in the Word and Pray in the HolySpirit . Your Confidence in Christ Will soar and You Will be endued with Power to Live in Victory .
Then we can go into battle against All of the attacks of the Enemy , Believing and Speaking the Word of God with Confidence that Victory is ours .
