But Noah Found Grace in the Eyes of the LORD.
I used to read this with the understanding that somehow God looked at Noah and showed him Grace.
Wrong!
The key to understanding this verse is the word ` Found `. Noah Found Grace.
To find something you must look for it. You must Seek it.
So, Noah was seeking for Grace - unmerited favor from God.
Jesus said Seek and ye shall find.
Noah was following the prescription for receiving 2500 years before Jesus spoke it.
But where did Noah find Grace ?
In the eyes of the Lord .
Does this mean that God looked at Noah and had Mercy and Compassion ?
Yes and No!
The reality is that God was looking down on all mankind with Mercy and Compassion
- but no one except Noah was Seeking God.
Mercy and Compassion are Good but they are not the fullness of Grace ! Grace is unmerited, undeserved favor .
Noah found Grace in the Eyes of the Lord.
Noah looked into the Eyes of God. Noah perceived the Nature of God which is Love.
The rest of humanity was not interested in God. They were not seeking God. They took God`s blessings completely for granted.
But Noah Found Grace. What is Grace ?
It is the Love of God that shows Compassion , gives Mercy and Blesses us with all Spiritual Bleasings in Heavenly Places in Christ Jesus !
When we begin to Understand the Love of God we find Grace. That is where Grace is.
If you are looking in the wrong place you will not find what you are seeking.
The right Place to Seek for whatever you Need is the Love of God.
Grace is the manifestation of the Love of God.
