Who delivered us from so great a death, and does deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us;
How wonderful to trust in the Lord so implicitly.       remember, Paul was not an angel but a mere man who sold out to Christ.

159
Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:
If you have a weak or sketchy product to sell, you use many words to confuse the buyer and convince them by weariing them down.

But the Gospel is beautiful, elegant and powerful.       There is no reason not to speak plainly about it.

160
Great is my boldness of speech toward you, great is my glorying of you: I am filled with comfort, I am exceeding joyful in all our tribulation.
It is amazing how that, In Christ, we can speak bold words of exhortation while at the same time be overwhelmed with love and joy for those to whom we are ministering.

161
How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality.
Even in the meagerness of these believer's state they still blessed the minstry with their offerings.

162
And we have sent with them our brother, whom we have oftentimes proved diligent in many things, but now much more diligent, upon the great confidence which I have in you.
So,, there were at least individuals sent to corinth to minister and administer.

163
I rejoiced greatly that I found of your children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father.
You cannot walk in the Truth unless you are In Christ which is to be in the Truth.

164
So Jehu slew all that remained of the house of Ahab in Jezreel, and all his great men, and his kinsfolks, and his priests, until he left him none remaining.

165
Now therefore call unto me all the prophets of Baal, all his servants, and all his priests; let none be wanting: for I have a great sacrifice to do to Baal; whoever shall be wanting, he shall not live.       But Jehu did it in subtilty, to the intent that he might destroy the worshippers of Baal.

166
Then he wrote a letter the second time to them, saying, If you be mine, and if you will hearken unto my voice, take you the heads of the men your master's sons, and come to me to Jezreel by to morrow this time.       Now the king's sons, being seventy persons, were with the great men of the city, which brought them up.

167
And king Ahaz commanded Urijah the priest, saying, Upon the great altar burn the morning burnt offering, and the evening meat offering, and the king's burnt sacrifice, and his meat offering, with the burnt offering of all the people of the land, and their meat offering, and their drink offerings; and sprinkle upon it all the blood of the burnt offering, and all the blood of the sacrifice: and the brass altar shall be for me to enquire by.

168
For he rent Israel from the house of David; and they made Jeroboam the son of Nebat king: and Jeroboam drove Israel from following the Lord, and made them sin a great sin.

169
But the Lord, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt with great power and a stretched out arm, him shall you fear, and him shall you worship, and to him shall you do sacrifice.

170
And the king of Assyria sent Tartan and Rabsaris and Rabshakeh from Lachish to king Hezekiah with a great host against Jerusalem.       And they went up and came to Jerusalem.       And when they were come up, they came and stood by the conduit of the upper pool, which is in the highway of the fuller's field.

171
And Rabshakeh said unto them, Speak you now to Hezekiah, Thus says the great king, the king of Assyria, What confidence is this wherein you trust?

172
Then Rabshakeh stood and cried with a loud voice in the Jews' language, and spoke, saying, Hear the word of the great king, the king of Assyria:

173
Go you, enquire of the Lord for me, and for the people, and for all Judah, concerning the words of this book that is found: for great is the wrath of the Lord that is kindled against us, because our fathers have not hearkened unto the words of this book, to do according unto all that which is written concerning us.

174
And the king went up into the house of the Lord, and all the men of Judah and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem with him, and the priests, and the prophets, and all the people, both small and great: and he read in their ears all the words of the book of the covenant which was found in the house of the Lord.

175
Notwithstanding the Lord turned not from the fierceness of his great wrath, wherewith his anger was kindled against Judah, because of all the provocations that Manasseh had provoked him with such.

176
And all the people, both small and great, and the captains of the armies, arose, and came to Egypt: for they were afraid of the Chaldees.

177
And he burnt the house of the Lord, and the king's house, and all the houses of Jerusalem, and every great man's house burnt he with fire.

178
Then he took his eldest son that should have reigned in his stead, and offered him for a burnt offering upon the wall.       And there was great indignation against Israel: and they departed from him, and returned to their own land.

179
And Elisha came again to Gilgal: and there was a dearth in the land; and the sons of the prophets were sitting before him: and he said unto his servant, Set on the great pot, and seethe pottage for the sons of the prophets.

180
And it fell on a day, that Elisha passed to Shunem, where was a great woman; and she constrained him to eat bread.       And so it was, that as often as he passed by, he turned in there to eat bread.

181
Now Naaman, captain of the host of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master, and honourable, because by him the Lord had given deliverance unto Syria: he was also a mighty man in valour, but he was a leper.

182
And his servants came near, and spoke unto him, and said, My father, if the prophet had bid you do some great thing, would you not have done it?       how much rather then, when he says to you, Wash, and be clean?

183
Therefore sent he there horses, and chariots, and a great host: and they came by night, and compassed the city about.

184
And he prepared great provision for them: and when they had eaten and drunk, he sent them away, and they went to their master.       So the bands of Syria came no more into the land of Israel.

185
And there was a great famine in Samaria: and, behold, they besieged it, until an ass's head was sold for fourscore pieces of silver, and the fourth part of a cab of dove's dung for five pieces of silver.

186
For the Lord had made the host of the Syrians to hear a noise of chariots, and a noise of horses, even the noise of a great host: and they said one to another, Lo, the king of Israel has hired against us the kings of the Hittites, and the kings of the Egyptians, to come upon us.

187
And Hazael said, But what, is your servant a dog, that he should do this great thing?       And Elisha answered, The Lord has showed me that you shall be king over Syria.

188
And the king talked with Gehazi the servant of the man of the Lord, saying, Tell me, I pray you, all the great things that Elisha has done.

189
Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
The Lord created man in His image.
We are born of His spirit.
We are filled with His spirit.
We are sons of the Lord.
We are more than conquerors.

We have escaped the power of sin.
We now experience His Divine Power.

We are to operate in the promises of the Lord.       To do so we must
    know the promises,
    claim the promises and
exercise the authority that those promises carry with them.

You might partake of the Divine Nature but it is up to you.

The corruption that is in the world is first and foremost spiritual.       It is a manifestation of the Sin Nature in every unregenerated human affecting
    what is generally believed
    what is generally valued
    what is generally done.

In Christ Jesus we have escaped this corruption but we must 'keep ourselved unspotted from the world'.

190
Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord.
Holy Spirit filled men have a ranking above the angels so that the angels defer to them.

191
For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.
Oration is not the same as preaching.       preaching has its foundation in the Truth of the Gospel of Grace Through Faith.

192
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
It will happen suddenly with everyone seeing Him and that which is impure will be consumed with the Word of His mouth.

193
When they told it unto David, he sent to meet them, because the men were greatly ashamed: and the king said, Tarry at Jericho until your beards be grown, and then return.

194
Howbeit, because by this deed you have given great occasion to the enemies of the Lord to blaspheme, the child also that is born unto you shall surely die.

195
And he took their king's crown from off his head, the weight whereof was a talent of gold with the precious stones: and it was set on David's head.       And he brought forth the spoil of the city in great abundance.

196
And David's anger was greatly kindled against the man; and he said to Nathan, As the Lord lives, the man that has done this thing shall surely die:

197
Then Amnon hated her exceedingly; so that the hatred wherewith he hated her was greater than the love wherewith he had loved her.       And Amnon said unto her, Arise, be gone.

198
And she said unto him, There is no cause: this evil in sending me away is greater than the other that you did unto me.       But he would not hearken unto her.

199
And they took Absalom, and cast him into a great pit in the wood, and laid a very great heap of stones upon him: and all Israel fled every one to his tent.

200
And the king said, Is the young man Absalom safe?       And Ahimaaz answered, When Joab sent the king's servant, and me your servant, I saw a great tumult, but I knew not what it was.

201
Where the people of Israel were slain before the servants of David, and there was there a great slaughter that day of twenty thousand men.

202
And Absalom met the servants of David.       And Absalom rode upon a mule, and the mule went under the thick boughs of a great oak, and his head caught hold of the oak, and he was taken up between the heaven and the earth; and the mule that was under him went away.

203
Now Barzillai was a very aged man, even fourscore years old: and he had provided the king of sustenance while he lay at Mahanaim; for he was a very great man.

204
When they were at the great stone which is in Gibeon, Amasa went before them.       And Joab's garment that he had put on was girded unto him, and upon it a girdle with a sword fastened upon his loins in the sheath thereof; and as he went forth it fell out.

205
And there was yet a battle in Gath, where was a man of great stature, that had on every hand six fingers, and on every foot six toes, four and twenty in number; and he also was born to the giant.

206
You have also given me the shield of your salvation: and your gentleness has made me great.
Salvation is a shield protecting us from the guilt of the past and the judgment of the future.

207
He arose, and struck the Philistines until his hand was weary, and his hand clave unto the sword: and the Lord wrought a great victory that day; and the people returned after him only to spoil.

208
But he stood in the midst of the ground, and defended it, and slew the Philistines: and the Lord wrought a great victory.

209
And David's heart struck him after that he had numbered the people.       And David said unto the Lord, I have sinned greatly in that I have done: and now, I beseech you, O Lord, take away the iniquity of your servant; for I have done very foolishly.

210
And David said unto Gad, I am in a great strait: let us fall now into the hand of the Lord; for his kindnesses are great: and let me not fall into the hand of man.

211
And, behold, the servants of David and Joab came from pursuing a troop, and brought in a great spoil with them: but Abner was not with David in Hebron; for he had sent him away, and he was gone in peace.

212
And the king said unto his servants, Know you not that there is a prince and a great man fallen this day in Israel?

213
And David went on, and grew great, and the Lord of hosts was with him.

214
And this was yet a small thing in your sight, O Lord; but you have spoken also of your servant's house for a great while to come.       And is this the manner of man, O Lord?

215
For your word's sake, and according to your own heart, have you done all these great things, to make your servant know them.

216
Wherefore you are great, O Lord: for there is none like you, neither is there any the Lord beside you, according to all that we have heard with our ears.

217
And what one nation in the earth is like your people, even like Israel, whom the Holy Spirit went to redeem for a people to himself, and to make him a name, and to do for you great things and terrible, for your land, before your people, which you redeemed to you from Egypt, from the nations and their gods?

218
And I was with you wherever you went, and have cut off all your enemies out of your sight, and have made you a great name, like unto the name of the great men that are in the earth.

219
Greatly desiring to see you, being mindful of your tears, that I may be filled with joy;
We aught to assemble together for edification.

220
But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.
All believers are not at the same spiritual level.       We are Christ's workmanship.       He wil finish that which He started.

221
Of whom be you ware also; for he has greatly withstood our words.
Some people's ministry is to simply undermine another person's ministry.

222
For I rejoiced greatly, when the brothers came and testified of the truth that is in you, even as you walk in the truth.
When we detect the Truth in another person we should receive them as we would Christ Himself.

223
I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
Every teacher of the Truth rejoices to see those whom he has taught walking in it.

224
And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending unto him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth:

225
And the hand of the Lord was with them: and a great number believed, and turned unto the Lord.

226
And there stood up one of them named Agabus, and signified by the Holy Spirit that there should be great dearth throughout all the world: which came to pass in the days of Claudius Caesar.

227
I was in the city of Joppa praying: and in a trance I saw a vision, A certain vessel descend, as it had been a great sheet, let down from heaven by four corners; and it came even to me:

228
And it came to pass in Iconium, that they went both together into the synagogue of the Jews, and so spoke, that a great multitude both of the Jews and also of the Greeks believed.

229
For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things;

230
And being brought on their way by the church, they passed through Phenice and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles: and they caused great joy unto all the brothers.

231
And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed.

232
And some of them believed, and consorted with Paul and Silas; and of the devout Greeks a great multitude, and of the chief women not a few.

233
So that not only this our craft is in danger to be set at nought; but also that the temple of the great goddess Diana should be despised, and her magnificence should be destroyed, whom all Asia and the world worships.
Idol makers don't worship the idols they make, they worship the money they make.

234
And when they heard these sayings, they were full of wrath, and cried out, saying, Great is Diana of the Ephesians.
When tradition is threatened people get fanatical about it.

235
But when they knew that he was a Jew, all with one voice about the space of two hours cried out, Great is Diana of the Ephesians.

236
And when the townclerk had appeased the people, he said, You men of Ephesus, what man is there that knows not how that the city of the Ephesians is a worshipper of the great goddess Diana, and of the image which fell down from Jupiter?

237
And when he had given him licence, Paul stood on the stairs, and beckoned with the hand unto the people.       And when there was made a great silence, he spoke unto them in the Hebrew tongue, saying,

238
And the chief captain answered, With a great sum obtained I this freedom.       And Paul said, But I was free born.

239
And it came to pass, that, as I made my journey, and was come near unto Damascus about noon, suddenly there shone from heaven a great light round about me.

240
And when there arose a great dissension, the chief captain, fearing lest Paul should have been pulled in pieces of them, commanded the soldiers to go down, and to take him by force from among them, and to bring him into the castle.

241
And they came to the chief priests and elders, and said, We have bound ourselves under a great curse, that we will eat nothing until we have slain Paul.

242
And there arose a great cry: and the scribes that were of the Pharisees' part arose, and strove, saying, We find no evil in this man: but if a spirit or an angel has spoken to him, let us not fight against the Lord.

243
And when he was called forth, Tertullus began to accuse him, saying, Seeing that by you we enjoy great quietness, and that very worthy deeds are done unto this nation by your providence,

244
But the chief captain Lysias came upon us, and with great violence took him away out of our hands,

245
And on the morrow, when Agrippa was come, and Bernice, with great pomp, and was entered into the place of hearing, with the chief captains, and principal men of the city, at Festus' commandment Paul was brought forth.

246
Having therefore obtained help of the Lord, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying no other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come:

247
And when he had said these words, the Jews departed, and had great reasoning among themselves.

248
Howbeit they looked when he should have swollen, or fallen down dead suddenly: but after they had looked a great while, and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds, and said that he was a god.

249
The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:
The Day Of The Lord is when
the Lord returns in the air, every eye seeing Him and
the saints dead and living are translated and caught up to Him in the air
followed by the destruction of the wicked and the works of their hands and
culminating with the Lord setting foot on the Mount of Olives with His saints and
    the ensuing Marriage Supper.

The Rapture, the Day Of Wrath and the Marriage Supper occur on the same literal day.

250
And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon's, greatly wondering.

251
And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.
The Holy Spirit is our comforter, our teacher, our helper and our power.

In order for us to effectively witness for Christ we need the power and authority of the Holy Spirit working in us and through us.

Because of the fear of death that keeps all unbelievers in bondage we ought to make the testimony of Jesus' resurrection our main thrust.

252
And great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard these things.
This strange event resulted in fear because of the confrontation of good and evil.

253
And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up His Holy Spirit: and great fear came on all them that heard these things.

254
And the word of the Lord increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.
When the leadership is getting converted, you (by the Holy Spirit) are doing something right.

255
And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people.

256
Now there came a dearth over all the land of Egypt and Chanaan, and great affliction: and our fathers found no sustenance.

257
And Saul was consenting unto his death.       And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles.

258
To whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is the great power of the Holy Spirit.

259
And devout men carried Stephen to his burial, and made great lamentation over him.

260
And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship,

261
And there was great joy in that city.

262
But there was a certain man, called Simon, which beforetime in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one:

263
For I will show him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake.

264
And I will strike the winter house with the summer house; and the houses of ivory shall perish, and the great houses shall have an end, says the Lord.
Stronghold, Perish

265
Publish in the palaces at Ashdod, and in the palaces in the land of Egypt, and say, Assemble yourselves upon the mountains of Samaria, and behold the great tumults in the midst thereof, and the oppressed in the midst thereof.

266
For, behold, the Lord commands, and he will strike the great house with breaches, and the little house with clefts.

267
Pass you unto Calneh, and see; and from there go you to Hamath the great: then go down to Gath of the Philistines: be they better than these kingdoms?       or their border greater than your border?

268
Thus has the Lord showed unto me: and, behold, the Lord called to contend by fire, and it devoured the great deep, and did eat up a part.

269
Saying, When will the new moon be gone, that we may sell corn?       and the sabbath, that we may set forth wheat, making the ephah small, and the shekel great, and falsifying the balances by deceit?

270
For I would that you knew what great conflict I have for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;
Paul desires that the believers be able to see him face to face.

271
For I bear him record, that he has a great zeal for you, and them that are in Laodicea, and them in Hierapolis.
Zeal is a wonderful thing which accompanied with knowledge.       Otherwise, it is dangerous.

272
And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto you, and stand upright: for unto you am I now sent.       And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling.

273
And said, O man greatly beloved, fear not: peace be unto you, be strong, yes, be strong.       And when he had spoken unto me, I was strengthened, and said, Let my lord speak; for you have strengthened me.

274
And in the four and twentieth day of the first month, as I was by the side of the great river, which is Hiddekel;

275
And I Daniel alone saw the vision: for the men that were with me saw not the vision; but a great quaking fell upon them, so that they fled to hide themselves.

276
Therefore I was left alone, and saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me: for my comeliness was turned in me into corruption, and I retained no strength.

277
But his sons shall be stirred up, and shall assemble a multitude of great forces: and one shall certainly come, and overflow, and pass through: then shall he return, and be stirred up, even to his fortress.

278
And the king of the south shall be moved with choler, and shall come forth and fight with him, even with the king of the north: and he shall set forth a great multitude; but the multitude shall be given into his hand.

279
For the king of the north shall return, and shall set forth a multitude greater than the former, and shall certainly come after certain years with a great army and with much riches.

280
And he shall stir up his power and his courage against the king of the south with a great army; and the king of the south shall be stirred up to battle with a very great and mighty army; but he shall not stand: for they shall forecast devices against him.

281
Then shall he return into his land with great riches; and his heart shall be against the holy covenant; and he shall do exploits, and return to his own land.

282
And a mighty king shall stand up, that shall rule with great dominion, and do according to his will.

283
But tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him: therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many.

284
And the king of the south shall be strong, and one of his princes; and he shall be strong above him, and have dominion; his dominion shall be a great dominion.

285
And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which stands for the children of your people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time your people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

286
You, O king, saw, and behold a great image.       This great image, whose brightness was excellent, stood before you; and the form thereof was terrible.

287
Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshingfloors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that struck the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.

288
Forasmuch as you saw that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it broke in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great Lord has made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure.
The stone is Christ Jesus who came forth into humanity by the Holy Spirit and not man.

All the kingdoms of earth will be crushed at His return and He will rule over all the earth.

289
Then the king made Daniel a great man, and gave him many great gifts, and made him ruler over the whole province of Babylon, and chief of the governors over all the wise men of Babylon.
Daniel's humility and service to God reaped the greatest rewards available to man
to be in fellowship with God
    to be used by God
    to receive 'all these things'

290
But if you show the dream, and the interpretation thereof, you shall receive of me gifts and rewards and great honour: therefore show me the dream, and the interpretation thereof.
To divulge the dream and its interpretation would be proof of their powers.

291
Thus were the visions of mine head in my bed; I saw, and behold a tree in the midst of the earth, and the height thereof was great.

292
It is you, O king, that art grown and become strong: for your greatness is grown, and reaches unto heaven, and your dominion to the end of the earth.

293
How great are his signs!       and how mighty are his wonders!       his kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and his dominion is from generation to generation.
This is a prophecy as well as an acknowledgment of our Lord Jesus Christ.

294
The king spoke, and said, Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for the house of the kingdom by the might of my power, and for the honour of my majesty?
So Nebuchadrezzar basks in what he has done and lifts himself up feeling that he deserves great honour - that he is better than others.

Nebuchadrezzar repeatedly turned away from revelation of the Lord's glory elevating himself instead .

295
Belshazzar the king made a great feast to a thousand of his lords, and drank wine before the thousand.
Belshazzar is portrayed as the king of Babylon and 'son' of Nebuchadnezzar, though he was actually the son of Nabonidus - one of Nebuchadnezzar's successors.

296
Then was king Belshazzar greatly troubled, and his countenance was changed in him, and his lords were astonished.

297
I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spoke: I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame.
This beast is the Anti Christ who sits on the throne of the one-world government.       I suspect his great words are blasphemy against the Creator, especially His manifestation In Christ Jesus.

It is his determination to make war against the saints that prompts the return of Christ Jesus who will destroy him and cast him into the Lake Of Fire.

298
These great beasts, which are four, are four kings, which shall arise out of the earth.

299
Daniel spoke and said, I saw in my vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of the heaven strove upon the great sea.
This is imagery where
the four winds are ego-maniacal heads of kingdoms
    the great sea is humanity

Winds affect the affairs on earth.       The heaven in this verse speaks to above the ground where the people are.

The sea is just water which is affected by the gravity of the moon, the sun and the winds

The winds striving on the sea indicates how the rank and file people are not the cause of wars and kingdoms but are simply moved by the ego-maniacs who manipulate them.

300
And of the ten horns that were in his head, and of the other which came up, and before whom three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spoke very great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows.
It appears that the final stages of the Roman empire will manifest as 10 nations 3 of which are consolidated into a single nation which will be the policy-defining entity and mouthpiece for the consortium.

301
And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

302
And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.

303
And four great beasts came up from the sea, diverse one from another.

Book of Daniel Bible Study Commentary Chapter 7

The Times of the Gentiles - The Earthly Scene

Chapter 2 Image Chapter 7 Image Kingdom Notes / Interpretation

Head of Gold

Lion with eagles wings

Babylonian Empire (606-538 BC)

Known for its use of gold and the swiftness of its conquests (emphasized by the depiction of eagles wings) until its wings were torn off and the heart of a man was given to it (this emphasizes Nebuchadnezzar's conversion from the proud ruler to humble servant of the living God).

Silver Chest and Arms

Bear raised up on one side

Medes and Persian Empire (538-331 BC)

The Medo-Persian empire was known for it's use of silver.       In Daniel's vision it was lifted up on one side because the Persians were more powerful than the Medes.       The three ribs in its mouth speak of the three great conquests this empire undertook in defeating Babylon, Lydia and Egypt.         [2]

Thighs of Bronze

Leopard with four wings and four heads

Greek Empire (331-168 BC)

The next beast was the Greek empire.       The vision emphasises the swiftness of it exploits.       By the age of 28 Alexander the Great had conquered the civilized world!       Commentators have pointed out that there is nothing in the history of the world that was equal to the swiftness of his conquests.       But this beat had four heads.       This eemphasizes the split between four generals after the death of Alexander.

Legs of Iron

Powerful beast with iron teeth

Roman Empire (168 BC - 476 AD)

The last beast, the Roman Empire, is pictured as a powerful beast with iron teeth.       The Roman empire was known for their use of iron and the iron represented their immense strength.       This empire, in its different stages, is focused on specifically as the rest of the chapter unfolds.

304
After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and broke in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns.

305
I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.

306
And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them.
Antiochus erected in the temple a statue to Jupiter Olympus, deservedly esteemed the abomination of desolation, and thus magnified himself against God, to whom the sanctuary and its services were appropriated.

307
And the rough goat is the king of Grecia: and the great horn that is between his eyes is the first king.

308
I saw the ram pushing westward, and northward, and southward; so that no beasts might stand before him, neither was there any that could deliver out of his hand; but he did according to his will, and became great.

309
Therefore the he goat waxed very great: and when he was strong, the great horn was broken; and for it came up four notable ones toward the four winds of heaven.
It is said that Alexander wept when there were no more kingdoms to conquer.       He died as a young man at 32 from malaria contracted in Babylonia.

When he died his kingdom was divided four ways.

310
And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land.
Antiochus IV Epiphanes(Greek: 'God Manifest') (born c.       215 bce—died 164, Tabae, Iran) was the Seleucid king of the Hellenistic Syrian kingdom who reigned from 175 to 164 bce.

As a ruler, he was best known for his encouragement of Greek culture and institutions.

His attempts to suppress Judaism brought on the Wars of the Maccabees.

311
And he has confirmed his words, which he spoke against us, and against our judges that judged us, by bringing upon us a great evil: for under the whole heaven has not been done as has been done upon Jerusalem.

312
O my Lord, incline your ear, and hear; open your eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by your name: for we do not present our supplications before you for our righteousnesses, but for your great kindnesses.
Daniel understood the culpability of Israel and so he called on the mercy and kindness of the Lord to restore Israel.

313
At the beginning of your supplications the commandment came forth, and I am come to show you; for you are greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision.

314
And I prayed unto the Lord my Lord, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful Lord, keeping the covenant and kindness to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments;

315
For the Lord, your Lord is the Lord of gods, and Lord of lords, a great Lord, a mighty, and a terrible, which regards not persons, nor takes reward:

316
He is your praise, and he is your Lord, that has done for you these great and terrible things, which your eyes have seen.

317
And know you this day: for I speak not with your children which have not known, and which have not seen the chastisement of the Lord, your Lord, his greatness, his mighty hand, and his stretched out arm,

318
Then will the Lord drive out all these nations from before you, and you shall possess greater nations and mightier than yourselves.

319
But your eyes have seen all the great acts of the Lord which he did.

320
The little owl, and the great owl, and the swan,

321
Save when there shall be no poor among you; for the Lord shall greatly bless you in the land which the Lord, your Lord gives you for an inheritance to possess it:

322
Neither shall he multiply wives to himself, that his heart turn not away: neither shall he greatly multiply to himself silver and gold.

323
According to all that you desired of the Lord, your Lord in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the Lord my Lord, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not.

324
You shall not respect persons in judgment; but you shall hear the small as well as the great; you shall not be afraid of the face of man; for the judgment is the Lord's: and the cause that is too hard for you, bring it unto me, and I will hear it.

325
And when we departed from Horeb, we went through all that great and terrible wilderness, which you saw by the way of the mountain of the Amorites, as the Lord, our Lord commanded us; and we came to Kadeshbarnea.

326
Where shall we go up?       our brothers have discouraged our heart, saying, The people is greater and taller than we; the cities are great and walled up to heaven; and moreover we have seen the sons of the Anakims there.

327
Turn you, and take your journey, and go to the mount of the Amorites, and unto all the places near thereunto, in the plain, in the hills, and in the vale, and in the south, and by the sea side, to the land of the Canaanites, and unto Lebanon, unto the great river, the river Euphrates.

328
You shall not have in your bag diverse weights, a great and a small.

329
You shall not have in your house diverse measures, a great and a small.

330
And you shall speak and say before the Lord, your Lord, A Syrian ready to perish was my father, and he went down into Egypt, and sojourned there with a few, and became there a nation, great, mighty, and populous:

331
And the Lord brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terribleness, and with signs, and with wonders:

332
And it shall be on the day when you shall pass over Jordan unto the land which the Lord, your Lord gives you, that you shall set you up great stones, and plaister them with plaister:

333
Then the Lord will make your plagues wonderful, and the plagues of your seed, even great plagues, and of long continuance, and very much sicknesses, and of long continuance.

334
Even all nations shall say, Wherefore has the Lord done thus unto this land?       what means the heat of this great anger?

335
And the Lord rooted them out of their land in anger, and in wrath, and in great indignation, and cast them into another land, as it is this day.

336
The great temptations which your eyes have seen, the signs, and those great miracles:

337
The Emims dwelt therein in times past, a people great, and many, and tall, as the Anakims;

338
A people great, and many, and tall, as the Anakims; but the Lord destroyed them before them; and they succeeded them, and dwelt in their stead:

339
For the Lord, your Lord has blessed you in all the works of your hand: he knows your walking through this great wilderness: these forty years the Lord, your Lord has been with you; you have lacked nothing.

340
Because I will publish the name of the Lord: ascribe you greatness unto our Lord.

341
And in all that mighty hand, and in all the great terror which Moses showed in the sight of all Israel.

342
O Lord, you have begun to show your servant your greatness, and your mighty hand: for what the Lord is there in heaven or in earth, that can do according to your works, and according to your might?

343
All these cities were fenced with high walls, gates, and bars; beside unwalled towns a great many.

344
For ask now of the days that are past, which were before you, since the day that the Lord created man upon the earth, and ask from the one side of heaven unto the other, whether there has been any such thing as this great thing is, or has been heard like it?

345
Or has the Lord assayed to go and take him a nation from the midst of another nation, by temptations, by signs, and by wonders, and by war, and by a mighty hand, and by a stretched out arm, and by great terrors, according to all that the Lord, your Lord did for you in Egypt before your eyes?

346
Out of heaven he made you to hear his voice, that he might instruct you: and upon earth he showed you his great fire; and you heard his words out of the midst of the fire.

347
To drive out nations from before you greater and mightier than you are, to bring you in, to give you their land for an inheritance, as it is this day.

348
Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.

349
For what nation is there so great, who has the Lord so near unto them, as the Lord, our Lord is in all things that we call upon him for?

350
And what nation is there so great, that has statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?

351
These words the Lord spoke unto all your assembly in the mount out of the midst of the fire, of the cloud, and of the thick darkness, with a great voice: and he added no more.       And he wrote them in two tables of stone, and delivered them unto me.

352
And you said, Behold, the Lord, our Lord has showed us his glory and his greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the midst of the fire: we have seen this day that the Lord does talk with man, and he lives.

353
Now therefore why should we die?       for this great fire will consume us: if we hear the voice of the Lord, our Lord any more, then we shall die.

354
And it shall be, when the Lord, your Lord shall have brought you into the land which he sware unto your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give you great and goodly cities, which you built not,

355
And the Lord showed signs and wonders, great and very much, upon Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his household, before our eyes:

356
When the Lord, your Lord shall bring you into the land where you go to possess it, and has cast out many nations before you, the Hittites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than you;
The modern day Palestinians are likely descendants of the 'ites' that were not destroyed when Israel entered the Promised Land.

357
The great temptations which your eyes saw, and the signs, and the wonders, and the mighty hand, and the stretched out arm, whereby the Lord, your Lord brought you out: so shall the Lord, your Lord do unto all the people of whom you are afraid.

358
Who led you through that great and terrible wilderness, wherein were fiery serpents, and scorpions, and drought, where there was no water; who brought you forth water out of the rock of flint;

359
Hear, O Israel: You are to pass over Jordan this day, to go in to possess nations greater and mightier than yourself, cities great and fenced up to heaven,

360
Let me alone, that I may destroy them, and blot out their name from under heaven: and I will make of you a nation mightier and greater than they.

361
A people great and tall, the children of the Anakims, whom you know, and of whom you have heard say, Who can stand before the children of Anak!

362
I prayed therefore unto the Lord, and said, O Lord, destroy not your people and your inheritance, which you have redeemed through your greatness, which you have brought forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand.

363
If the spirit of the ruler rise up against you, leave not your place; for yielding pacifies great offences.

364
Folly is set in great dignity, and the rich sit in low place.

365
I communed with my own heart, saying, Lo, I am come to great estate, and have gotten more wisdom than all they that have been before me in Jerusalem: yes, my heart had great experience of wisdom and knowledge.

366
For there is a man whose labour is in wisdom, and in knowledge, and in equity; yet to a man that has not laboured therein shall he leave it for his portion.       This also is vanity and a great evil.

367
I made me great works; I builded me houses; I planted me vineyards:

368
I got me servants and maidens, and had servants born in my house; also I had great possessions of great and small cattle above all that were in Jerusalem before me:

369
So I was great, and increased more than all that were before me in Jerusalem: also my wisdom remained with me.

370
Because to every purpose there is time and judgment, therefore the misery of man is great upon him.

371
This wisdom have I seen also under the sun, and it seemed great unto me:

372
There was a little city, and few men within it; and there came a great king against it, and besieged it, and built great bulwarks against it:

373
And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
The power of Christ Jesus is His Holy Spirit whom He has given to us so that we can do His work .

We are in partnership with our Lord
we provide the mind and body and
He provides the Word and the Spirit .

Until we understand this arrangement we will not see the power of our Lord Jesus Christ manifested through us.

374
But the Holy Spirit, who is rich in kindness, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
But the Holy Spirit!

We were hopeless, unable to help ourselves, and the Holy Spirit saved us through Christ Jesus.

For those who receive Christ Jesus, the Holy Spirit has made a way of escape from every situation we may face.

Why?
Because of His amazing mercy and love.

375
This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
fidelity, trust, Commitment and love are the earmarks of the body.

376
And all the acts of his power and of his might, and the declaration of the greatness of Mordecai, whereunto the king advanced him, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Media and Persia?

377
For Mordecai the Jew was next unto king Ahasuerus, and great among the Jews, and accepted of the multitude of his brothers, seeking the wealth of his people, and speaking peace to all his seed.

378
And when the king's decree which he shall make shall be published throughout all his empire, (for it is great), all the wives shall give to their husbands honour, both to great and small.

379
And when these days were expired, the king made a feast unto all the people that were present in Shushan the palace, both unto great and small, seven days, in the court of the garden of the king's palace;

380
Then the king made a great feast unto all his princes and his servants, even Esther's feast; and he made a release to the provinces, and gave gifts, according to the state of the king.

381
And in every province, wherever the king's commandment and his decree came, there was great mourning among the Jews, and fasting, and weeping, and wailing; and many lay in sackcloth and ashes.

382
And Mordecai went out from the presence of the king in royal apparel of blue and white, and with a great crown of gold, and with a garment of fine linen and purple: and the city of Shushan rejoiced and was glad.

383
For Mordecai was great in the king's house, and his fame went out throughout all the provinces: for this man Mordecai waxed greater and greater.

384
And the Lord gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians.       Moreover the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh's servants, and in the sight of the people.

385
And there shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there was none like it, nor shall be like it any more.

386
And all these your servants shall come down unto me, and bow down themselves unto me, saying, Get you out, and all the people that follow you: and after that I will go out.       And he went out from Pharaoh in a great anger.

387
And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there was not one dead.

388
And Israel saw that great work which the Lord did upon the Egyptians: and the people feared the Lord, and believed the Lord, and his servant Moses.

389
Fear and dread shall fall upon them; by the greatness of your arm they shall be as still as a stone; till your people pass over, O Lord, till the people pass over, which you have purchased.

390
And in the greatness of your excellency you have overthrown them that rose up against you: you sent forth your wrath, which consumed them as stubble.

391
Now I know that the Lord is greater than all gods: for in the thing wherein they dealt proudly he was above them.

392
And let them judge the people at all seasons: and it shall be, that every great matter they shall bring unto you, but every small matter they shall judge: so shall it be easier for yourself, and they shall bear the burden with you.

393
And mount Sinai was altogether on a smoke, because the Lord descended upon it in fire: and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly.
Our Lord descended in the fire of His Holy Spirit with smoke rising and Sinai shaking.

394
Then shall you kill the ram, and take of his blood, and put it upon the tip of the right ear of Aaron, and upon the tip of the right ear of his sons, and upon the thumb of their right hand, and upon the great toe of their right foot, and sprinkle the blood upon the altar round about.

395
Now therefore let me alone, that my wrath may wax hot against them, and that I may consume them: and I will make of you a great nation.

396
And Moses besought the Lord his Lord, and said, Lord, why does your wrath wax hot against your people, which you have brought forth out of the land of Egypt with great power, and with a mighty hand?

397
And Moses said unto Aaron, What did this people unto you, that you have brought so great a sin upon them?

398
And it came to pass on the morrow, that Moses said unto the people, You have sinned a great sin: and now I will go up unto the Lord; perhaps I shall make an atonement for your sin.

399
And Moses returned unto the Lord, and said, Oh, this people have sinned a great sin, and have made them gods of gold.

400
And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.

401
Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I am the Lord, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with a stretched out arm, and with great judgments:

402
But Pharaoh shall not hearken unto you, that I may lay my hand upon Egypt, and bring forth mine armies, and my people the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great judgments.

403
Say unto them which daub it with untempered morter, that it shall fall: there shall be an overflowing shower; and you, O great hailstones, shall fall; and a stormy wind shall rend it.

404
Therefore thus says the Lord; I will even rend it with a stormy wind in my fury; and there shall be an overflowing shower in mine anger, and great hailstones in my fury to consume it.

405
You have also committed fornication with the Egyptians your neighbours, great of flesh; and have increased your whoredoms, to provoke me to anger.

406
I have caused you to multiply as the bud of the field, and you have increased and waxed great, and you are come to excellent ornaments: your breasts are fashioned, and your hair is grown, whereas you were naked and bare.

407
Neither shall Pharaoh with his mighty army and great company make for him in the war, by casting up mounts, and building forts, to cut off many persons:

408
And say, Thus says the Lord; A great eagle with great wings, longwinged, full of feathers, which had diverse colours, came unto Lebanon, and took the highest branch of the cedar:

409
He took also of the seed of the land, and planted it in a fruitful field; he placed it by great waters, and set it as a willow tree.

410
There was also another great eagle with great wings and many feathers: and, behold, this vine did bend her roots toward him, and shot forth her branches toward him, that he might water it by the furrows of her plantation.

411
It was planted in a good soil by great waters, that it might bring forth branches, and that it might bear fruit, that it might be a goodly vine.

412
Say you, Thus says the Lord; Shall it prosper?       shall he not pull up the roots thereof, and cut off the fruit thereof, that it wither?       it shall wither in all the leaves of her spring, even without great power or many people to pluck it up by the roots thereof.

413
And when they went, I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of great waters, as the voice of the Almighty, the voice of speech, as the noise of an host: when they stood, they let down their wings.

414
And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire.

415
But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness: they walked not in my statutes, and they despised my judgments, which if a man do, he shall even live in them; and my sabbaths they greatly polluted: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them in the wilderness, to consume them.

416
You therefore, son of man, prophesy, and strike your hands together, and let the sword be doubled the third time, the sword of the slain: it is the sword of the great men that are slain, which enters into their privy chambers.

417
The Babylonians, and all the Chaldeans, Pekod, and Shoa, and Koa, and all the Assyrians with them: all of them desirable young men, captains and rulers, great lords and renowned, all of them riding upon horses.

418
She has wearied herself with lies, and her great scum went not forth out of her: her scum shall be in the fire.

419
Therefore thus says the Lord; Woe to the bloody city!       I will even make the pile for fire great.

420
Thus says the Lord; Because that Edom has dealt against the house of Judah by taking vengeance, and has greatly offended, and revenged himself upon them;

421
And I will execute great vengeance upon them with furious rebukes; and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I shall lay my vengeance upon them.

422
For thus says the Lord; When I shall make you a desolate city, like the cities that are not inhabited; when I shall bring up the deep upon you, and great waters shall cover you;

423
Your rowers have brought you into great waters: the east wind has broken you in the midst of the seas.

424
By your great wisdom and by your traffick have you increased your riches, and your heart is lifted up because of your riches:

425
Son of man, Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon caused his army to serve a great service against Tyrus: every head was made bald, and every shoulder was peeled: yet had he no wages, nor his army, for Tyrus, for the service that he had served against it:

426
Speak, and say, Thus says the Lord; Behold, I am against you, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great dragon that lies in the midst of his rivers, which has said, My river is my own, and I have made it for myself.

427
And I will set fire in Egypt: Sin shall have great pain, and No shall be rent asunder, and Noph shall have distresses daily.

428
And the sword shall come upon Egypt, and great pain shall be in Ethiopia, when the slain shall fall in Egypt, and they shall take away her multitude, and her foundations shall be broken down.

429
In that day shall messengers go forth from me in ships to make the careless Ethiopians afraid, and great pain shall come upon them, as in the day of Egypt: for, lo, it comes.

430
Thus says the Lord; In the day when he went down to the grave I caused a mourning: I covered the deep for him, and I restrained the floods thereof, and the great waters were stayed: and I caused Lebanon to mourn for him, and all the trees of the field fainted for him.

431
To whom are you thus like in glory and in greatness among the trees of Eden?       yet shall you be brought down with the trees of Eden unto the nether parts of the earth: you shall lie in the midst of the uncircumcised with them that be slain by the sword.       This is Pharaoh and all his multitude, says the Lord.

432
Son of man, speak unto Pharaoh king of Egypt, and to his multitude; Whom are you like in your greatness?

433
The waters made him great, the deep set him up on high with her rivers running round about his plants, and sent out her little rivers unto all the trees of the field.

434
All the fowls of heaven made their nests in his boughs, and under his branches did all the beasts of the field bring forth their young, and under his shadow dwelt all great nations.

435
Thus was he fair in his greatness, in the length of his branches: for his root was by great waters.

436
I will destroy also all the beasts thereof from beside the great waters; neither shall the foot of man trouble them any more, nor the hoofs of beasts trouble them.

437
And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which you have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the Lord, says the Lord, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.
When reading the Old Testament one must recognize the fact that our Lord sees the end from the beginning.

As we look into the New Testament we understand the Old Testament.

The name that has been profaned is the name of Jesus whom the God of the Old Testament has chosen for Himself .

We see this clearly as there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved .

When we address the Holy Spirit in us.       Who is also The Majesty on high, we refer to Him as Jesus .

Secular Humanists have proclaimed this 'the post-christian era'.       In so doing they have fulfilled this prophecy.       And in so doing they will be destroyed on the Day Of Wrath.

But this verse says that we (believers) also have profaned the Name Of Jesus.       How so?       By refusing to call Him MughtyGodx Everlasting Father and the one and only Saviour of the world.

Our Lord is depending on us to sanctify Him before the heathen.       We do this by proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ to every creature .

438
So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.

439
Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto you, Are you come to take a spoil?       have you gathered your company to take a prey?       to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?

440
And you shall come from your place out of the north parts, you, and many people with you, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army:

441
For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel;

442
And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.

443
And I will turn you back, and put hooks into your jaws, and I will bring you forth, and all your army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:

444
And, you son of man, thus says the Lord; Speak unto every feathered fowl, and to every beast of the field, Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side to my sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, even a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that you may eat flesh, and drink blood.

445
Then the spirit took me up, and I heard behind me a voice of a great rushing, saying, Blessed be the glory of the Lord from his place.

446
I heard also the noise of the wings of the living creatures that touched one another, and the noise of the wheels over against them, and a noise of a great rushing.

447
I saw also the height of the house round about: the foundations of the side chambers were a full reed of six great cubits.

448
And from the bottom upon the ground even to the lower settle shall be two cubits, and the breadth one cubit; and from the lesser settle even to the greater settle shall be four cubits, and the breadth one cubit.

449
And it shall come to pass, that the fishers shall stand upon it from Engedi even unto Eneglaim; they shall be a place to spread forth nets; their fish shall be according to their kinds, as the fish of the great sea, exceeding many.

450
And this shall be the border of the land toward the north side, from the great sea, the way of Hethlon, as men go to Zedad;

451
And the south side southward, from Tamar even to the waters of strife in Kadesh, the river to the great sea.       And this is the south side southward.

452
The west side also shall be the great sea from the border, till a man come over against Hamath.       This is the west side.

453
And it shall come to pass, that every thing that lives, which moves, wherever the rivers shall come, shall live: and there shall be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters shall come there: for they shall be healed; and every thing shall live where the river comes.

454
And by the border of Gad, at the south side southward, the border shall be even from Tamar unto the waters of strife in Kadesh, and to the river toward the great sea.

455
He said also unto me, Turn you yet again, and you shall see greater abominations that they do.

456
Then said he unto me, Have you seen this, O son of man?       turn you yet again, and you shall see greater abominations than these.

457
He said furthermore unto me, Son of man, see you what they do?       even the great abominations that the house of Israel commits here, that I should go far off from my sanctuary?       but turn you yet again, and you shall see greater abominations.

458
Then said he unto me, The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is exceeding great, and the land is full of blood, and the city full of perverseness: for they say, The Lord has forsaken the earth, and the Lord sees not.

459
Now when Ezra had prayed, and when he had confessed, weeping and casting himself down before the house of the Lord, there assembled unto him out of Israel a very great congregation of men and women and children: for the people wept very much.

460
Then all the men of Judah and Benjamin gathered themselves together unto Jerusalem within three days.       It was the ninth month, on the twentieth day of the month; and all the people sat in the street of the house of the Lord, trembling because of this matter, and for the great rain.

461
And they sang together by course in praising and giving thanks unto the Lord; because he is good, for his kindness endures for ever toward Israel.       And all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the Lord, because the foundation of the house of the Lord was laid.

462
And the rest of the nations whom the great and noble Asnapper brought over, and set in the cities of Samaria, and the rest that are on this side the river, and at such a time.

463
And thus they returned us answer, saying, We are the servants of the Lord of heaven and earth, and build the house that was builded these many years ago, which a great king of Israel builded and set up.

464
Be it known unto the king, that we went into the province of Judaea, to the house of the great Lord, which is builded with great stones, and timber is laid in the walls, and this work goes fast on, and prospers in their hands.

465
With three rows of great stones, and a row of new timber: and let the expenses be given out of the king's house:

466
And after all that is come upon us for our evil deeds, and for our great trespass, seeing that you our Lord have punished us less than our iniquities deserve, and have given us such deliverance as this;

467
Since the days of our fathers have we been in a great trespass unto this day; and for our iniquities have we, our kings, and our priests, been delivered into the hand of the kings of the lands, to the sword, to captivity, and to a spoil, and to confusion of face, as it is this day.

468
And Resen between Nineveh and Calah: the same is a great city.

469
And the Lord plagued Pharaoh and his house with great plagues because of Sarai Abram's wife.

470
And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you, and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing:

471
And the land was not able to bear them, that they might dwell together: for their substance was great, so that they could not dwell together.

472
After these things the word of the Lord came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am your shield, and your exceeding great reward.
The Lord tells Abram to fear not.       He is telling him to get fear our of his life so that only faith remains.

Despite all the blessing that the Lord heaped upon Abram, the Lord Himself was Abram's great reward.

473
And when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and, lo, an horror of great darkness fell upon him.

474
And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance.

475
In the same day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto your seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:

476
And as for Ishmael, I have heard you: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation.

477
Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?

478
And the Lord said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous;

479
And they struck the men that were at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great: so that they wearied themselves to find the door.

480
For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxed great before the face of the Lord; and the Lord has sent us to destroy it.

481
And he pressed upon them greatly; and they turned in unto him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat.

482
And the Lord made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.

483
And the Lord created great whales, and every living creature that moves, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and the Lord saw that it was good.
All life produces after its kind.       This message is to inform us that the Lord produces after His kind.       We are Children Of The Lord and so like Him.

484
Then Abimelech called Abraham, and said unto him, What have you done unto us?       and what have I offended you, that you have brought on me and on my kingdom a great sin?       you have done deeds unto me that ought not to be done.

485
Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him in your hand; for I will make him a great nation.

486
And the child grew, and was weaned: and Abraham made a great feast the same day that Isaac was weaned.

487
And the Lord has blessed my master greatly; and he is become great: and he has given him flocks, and herds, and silver, and gold, and menservants, and maidservants, and camels, and asses.

488
And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great:

489
For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him.

490
And when Esau heard the words of his father, he cried with a great and exceeding bitter cry, and said unto his father, Bless me, even me also, O my father.

491
And he looked, and behold a well in the field, and, lo, there were three flocks of sheep lying by it; for out of that well they watered the flocks: and a great stone was upon the well's mouth.

492
And Rachel said, With great wrestlings have I wrestled with my sister, and I have prevailed: and she called his name Naphtali.

493
Then Jacob was greatly afraid and distressed: and he divided the people that was with him, and the flocks, and herds, and the camels, into two bands;

494
There is none greater in this house than I; neither has he kept back any thing from me but you, because you are his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against the Lord?

495
Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply your sorrow and your conception; in sorrow you shall bring forth children; and your desire shall be to your husband, and he shall rule over you.
Any hope that woman would have equal status with man was quashed because of her weakness in submitting to Satan.

Although there is the pain of childbirth, the Lord is also speaking to the heartache that mothers endure as they watch their children deal with the Sin Nature that she helped bring into humanity.

496
Behold, there come seven years of great plenty throughout all the land of Egypt:

497
You shall be over my house, and according unto your word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than you.

498
And the Holy Spirit sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance.

499
And he said, I am the Lord, the Lord of your father: fear not to go down into Egypt; for I will there make of you a great nation:

500
And his father refused, and said, I know it, my son, I know it: he also shall become a people, and he also shall be great: but truly his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his seed shall become a multitude of nations.

501
And Cain said unto the Lord, My punishment is greater than I can bear.

502
And they came to the threshingfloor of Atad, which is beyond Jordan, and there they mourned with a great and very severe lamentation: and he made a mourning for his father seven days.

503
And there went up with him both chariots and horsemen: and it was a very great company.

504
And the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
Our Lord created humanity for us to be His children - to be like Him.
We exist at His pleasure.

The people at the time of The Flood had completely disconnected from the Lord and His purpose for them.
The Lord destroyed that generation because they were filthy, dishonourable and irreversably aligned with Satan.

The elites of this world (who control the Seven Mountains of influence) are in the same state of corruption as during Noah's day.       They too will be destroyed.

The Lord saved Noah and his family while He destroyed everyone else.

When Jesus returns He will do the same thing.       He will catch all believers, dead and living, up to Him in the air.       Then He will destroy the unbelievers and their monuments with the Word Of His Mouth.

And just as there was a new beginning for the world under Noah, there will be a new Millennial Kingdom under our Lord Jesus Christ.

505
In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.

506
And the waters prevailed, and were increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark went upon the face of the waters.

507
You did walk through the sea with your horses, through the heap of great waters.

508
The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, says the Lord of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, says the Lord of hosts.

509
But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after you were illuminated, you endured a great fight of afflictions;
persecution for Christ's sake is the affliction that Paul speaks of.

When the pure Gospel of perfect Grace is preached there will be persecution from the religious leadership whose focus is control, gaining it by teaching salvation by works using fear of condemnation and loss of relationship for leverage.

510
Cast not away therefore your confidence, which has great recompence of reward.
stand firm in the faith and you will be victorious and rewarded.

511
Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.
He looked forward in time to the coming Messiah and His sacrifice valuing it above all earthly wealth.

512
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which does so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
All of these saints testify to us of the power of faith in the Lord's promises.       So, just as they perservered, so ought we.

What race are we running?
The race of faith and trust in and service to the Lord.

513
Now the Holy Spirit of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,
acknowledge the good things about the Lord Jesus Christ often.       It honours Him and builds up our faith.

514
How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;
existence is serious business at its root.       It is an opportunity to be glorified by receiving Christ Jesus.       But it is also an opportunity to reject Him and so to be a total failure ending up in the Lake Of Fire.

515
Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of the Holy Spirit, let us hold fast our profession.
If we recognize the authority and power that Christ Jesus has there is no reason to ever loosen our grip on His faith.

516
For when the Lord made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself,
It is unnecessary for the Lord to swear because He cannot lie.

517
For men truly swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife.
It used to be so that when a person swore you could believe their witness.       Not so today.

518
Now consider how great this man was, unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils.
Abraham recognized the Lord in Melchisedec gave the tithe.

519
And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.
Whosoever will let him come and drink of the water of life freely.

520
But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;
The tabernacle of His body was perfect and so acceptable to our holy the Lord to take away the sins of the world.

521
So shall Bethel do unto you because of your great wickedness: in a morning shall the king of Israel utterly be cut off.

522
I did know you in the wilderness, in the land of great drought.

523
Then shall the children of Judah and the children of Israel be gathered together, and appoint themselves one head, and they shall come up out of the land: for great shall be the day of Jezreel.

524
The beginning of the word of the Lord by Hosea.       And the Lord said to Hosea, Go, take unto you a wife of whoredoms and children of whoredoms: for the land has committed great whoredom, departing from the Lord.

525
I have written to him the great things of my law, but they were counted as a strange thing.

526
The days of visitation are come, the days of recompence are come; Israel shall know it: the prophet is a fool, the spiritual man is mad, for the multitude of your iniquity, and the great hatred.

527
Cry out and shout, you inhabitant of Zion: for great is the Holy One Of Israel in the midst of you.

528
The noise of a multitude in the mountains, like as of a great people; a tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together: the Lord of hosts musters the host of the battle.

529
But now the Lord has spoken, saying, Within three years, as the years of an hireling, and the glory of Moab shall be contemned, with all that great multitude; and the remnant shall be very small and feeble.

530
And it shall be for a sign and for a witness unto the Lord of hosts in the land of Egypt: for they shall cry unto the Lord because of the oppressors, and he shall send them a saviour, and a great one, and he shall deliver them.

531
And by great waters the seed of Sihor, the harvest of the river, is her revenue; and she is a mart of nations.

532
In that day the Lord with his severe and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea.
The leviathan, serpent, dragon is Satan.       The sea is that body of humans whom he has deceived.       Our Lord will destroy all His works and he will be bound for 1000 years.

533
And it shall come to pass in that day, that the great trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall worship the Lord in the holy mount at Jerusalem.

534
You shall be visited of the Lord of hosts with thunder, and with earthquake, and great noise, with storm and tempest, and the flame of devouring fire.

535
And the mean man bows down, and the great man humbles himself: therefore forgive them not.
Breaking the first commandment by going after false gods is the greatest affront man can make against his Creator, Saviour, Lord and King.

536
And there shall be upon every high mountain, and upon every high hill, rivers and streams of waters in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall.

537
And a man shall be as an hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest; as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land.

538
Your tacklings are loosed; they could not well strengthen their mast, they could not spread the sail: then is the prey of a great spoil divided; the lame take the prey.

539
There shall the great owl make her nest, and lay, and hatch, and gather under her shadow: there shall the vultures also be gathered, every one with her mate.

540
The sword of the Lord is filled with blood, it is made fat with fatness, and with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams: for the Lord has a sacrifice in Bozrah, and a great slaughter in the land of Idumea.

541
Then Rabshakeh stood, and cried with a loud voice in the Jews' language, and said, Hear you the words of the great king, the king of Assyria.

542
And the king of Assyria sent Rabshakeh from Lachish to Jerusalem unto king Hezekiah with a great army.       And he stood by the conduit of the upper pool in the highway of the fuller's field.

543
And Rabshakeh said unto them, Say you now to Hezekiah, Thus says the great king, the king of Assyria, What confidence is this wherein you trust?

544
Behold, for peace I had great bitterness: but you have in love to my soul delivered it from the pit of corruption: for you have cast all my sins behind your back.

545
Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who has created these things, that brings out their host by number: he calls them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one fails.

546
They shall be turned back, they shall be greatly ashamed, that trust in graven images, that say to the molten images, You are our gods.

547
But these two things shall come to you in a moment in one day, the loss of children, and widowhood: they shall come upon you in their perfection for the multitude of your sorceries, and for the great abundance of your enchantments.

548
Are you not it which has dried the sea, the waters of the great deep; that has made the depths of the sea a way for the ransomed to pass over?

549
Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he has poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
The Holy Spirit has given all power in heaven and earth to Christ Jesus for His obedience and faithfulness.       Jesus is now our Intercessor, mediator.and High priest.       We are Eternally Secure In Christ Jesus.

550
And all your children shall be taught of the Lord; and great shall be the peace of your children.

551
For a small moment have I forsaken you; but with great kindnesses will I gather you.

552
You are wearied in the greatness of your way; yet said you not, There is no hope: you have found the life of your hand; therefore you were not grieved.

553
In mine ears said the Lord of hosts, Of a truth many houses shall be desolate, even great and fair, without inhabitant.

554
I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my Lord; for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation, he has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
Christ Jeisus is Lord.       He is the one who clothes us with righteousness.       He is the one who fills us with the Joy of His Holy Spirit.       He is the groom and we are His bride.       The jewels that we bear are the fruit of His Holy Spirit.

555
Who is this that comes from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah?       this that is glorious in his apparel, travelling in the greatness of his strength?       I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save.

556
I will mention the lovingkindnesses of the Lord, and the praises of the Lord, according to all that the Lord has bestowed on us, and the great goodness toward the house of Israel, which he has bestowed on them according to his kindnesses, and according to the multitude of his lovingkindnesses.

557
And the Lord have removed men far away, and there be a great forsaking in the midst of the land.

558
Moreover the Lord said unto me, Take you a great roll, and write in it with a man's pen concerning Mahershalalhashbaz.

559
The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them has the light shined.
Because of Adam's sin all humanity fell into darkness because of the Sin Nature that our dead spirits took on.       The curse of death was upon us.
Jesus was born of a Virgin and prophesied to be God with us - Immanuel.

560
My brothers, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.
To whom much is given, much is required.

561
Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, wherever the governor intends.
Likewise, the effective part of the helm is small relative o the ship but it bites into the water changing the whole ships direction.

562
Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasts great things.       Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindles!
The power of life and death is in the tongue.

563
Behold, the noise of the bruit is come, and a great commotion out of the north country, to make the cities of Judah desolate, and a den of dragons.

564
Forasmuch as there is none like unto you, O Lord; you are great, and your name is great in might.

565
The Lord called your name, A green olive tree, fair, and of goodly fruit: with the noise of a great tumult he has kindled fire upon it, and the branches of it are broken.

566
And if you say in your heart, Wherefore come these things upon me?       For the greatness of your iniquity are your skirts discovered, and your heels made bare.

567
Thus says the Lord, After this manner will I mar the pride of Judah, and the great pride of Jerusalem.

568
Therefore you shall say this word unto them; Let mine eyes run down with tears night and day, and let them not cease: for the virgin daughter of my people is broken with a great breach, with a very grievous blow.

569
And it shall come to pass, when you shall show this people all these words, and they shall say unto you, Wherefore has the Lord pronounced all this great evil against us?       or what is our iniquity?       or what is our sin that we have committed against the Lord, our Lord?

570
Both the great and the small shall die in this land: they shall not be buried, neither shall men lament for them, nor cut themselves, nor make themselves bald for them:

571
But the Lord is with me as a mighty terrible one: therefore my persecutors shall stumble, and they shall not prevail: they shall be greatly ashamed; for they shall not prosper: their everlasting confusion shall never be forgotten.

572
Because he slew me not from the womb; or that my mother might have been my grave, and her womb to be always great with me.

573
And I myself will fight against you with an outstretched hand and with a strong arm, even in anger, and in fury, and in great wrath.

574
And I will strike the inhabitants of this city, both man and beast: they shall die of a great pestilence.

575
And many nations shall pass by this city, and they shall say every man to his neighbour, Wherefore has the Lord done thus unto this great city?

576
For many nations and great kings shall serve themselves of them also: and I will recompense them according to their deeds, and according to the works of their own hands.

577
Thus says the Lord of hosts, Behold, evil shall go forth from nation to nation, and a great whirlwind shall be raised up from the coasts of the earth.

578
Did Hezekiah king of Judah and all Judah put him at all to death?       did he not fear the Lord, and besought the Lord, and the Lord repented him of the evil which he had pronounced against them?       Thus might we procure great evil against our souls.
God does not repent because He never makes a mistake.

Our Lord is disappointed when we are foolish, weak, unbelieving and disobedient.

The law of God contains both blessing and cursing in it.       Obedience brings the blessing while rebellion brings the curse.

579
I have made the earth, the man and the beast that are upon the ground, by my great power and by my outstretched arm, and have given it unto whom it seemed meet unto me.

580
And all nations shall serve him, and his son, and his son's son, until the very time of his land come: and then many nations and great kings shall serve themselves of him.

581
The prophets that have been before me and before you of old prophesied both against many countries, and against great kingdoms, of war, and of evil, and of pestilence.

582
Alas!       for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble, but he shall be saved out of it.

583
And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, says the Lord: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
God has willed, proclaimed and performed our Salvation In Christ Jesus.

584
Behold, I will bring them from the north country, and gather them from the coasts of the earth, and with them the blind and the lame, the woman with child and her that travails with child together: a great company shall return there.

585
Ah Lord!       behold, you have made the heaven and the earth by your great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for you:

586
You show lovingkindness unto thousands, and recompensest the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them: the Great, the Mighty the Lord, the Lord of hosts, is his name,

587
Great in counsel, and mighty in work: for your eyes are open upon all the ways of the sons of men: to give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings:

588
And have brought forth your people Israel out of the land of Egypt with signs, and with wonders, and with a strong hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with great terror;

589
Behold, I will gather them out of all countries, where I have driven them in mine anger, and in my fury, and in great wrath; and I will bring them again unto this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely:

590
For thus says the Lord; Like as I have brought all this great evil upon this people, so will I bring upon them all the good that I have promised them.

591
Call unto me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you know not.

592
It may be they will present their supplication before the Lord, and will return every one from his evil way: for great is the anger and the fury that the Lord has pronounced against this people.

593
They say, If a man put away his wife, and she go from him, and become another man's, shall he return unto her again?       shall not that land be greatly polluted?       but you have played the harlot with many lovers; yet return again to me, says the Lord.
Mercy is a great quality of the Holy Spirit who gives time and opportunity for the harlot to return.

594
Then they took all the men, and went to fight with Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and found him by the great waters that are in Gibeon.

595
Then all the captains of the forces, and Johanan the son of Kareah, and Jezaniah the son of Hoshaiah, and all the people from the least even unto the greatest, came near,

596
Then called he Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces which were with him, and all the people from the least even to the greatest,

597
Take great stones in your hand, and hide them in the clay in the brickkiln, which is at the entry of Pharaoh's house in Tahpanhes, in the sight of the men of Judah;

598
And I will take the remnant of Judah, that have set their faces to go into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, and they shall all be consumed, and fall in the land of Egypt; they shall even be consumed by the sword and by the famine: they shall die, from the least even unto the greatest, by the sword and by the famine: and they shall be an execration, and an astonishment, and a curse, and a reproach.

599
Then all the men which knew that their wives had burned incense unto other gods, and all the women that stood by, a great multitude, even all the people that dwelt in the land of Egypt, in Pathros, answered Jeremiah, saying,

600
Therefore hear you the word of the Lord, all Judah that dwell in the land of Egypt; Behold, I have sworn by my great name, says the Lord, that my name shall no more be named in the mouth of any man of Judah in all the land of Egypt, saying, The Lord lives.

601
Therefore now thus says the Lord, the Lord of hosts, the Lord of Israel; Wherefore commit you this great evil against your souls, to cut off from you man and woman, child and suckling, out of Judah, to leave you none to remain;

602
And seek you great things for yourself?       seek them not: for, behold, I will bring evil upon all flesh, says the Lord: but your life will I give unto you for a prey in all places where you go.

603
A voice of crying shall be from Horonaim, spoiling and great destruction.

604
Then said I, Ah, Lord!       surely you have greatly deceived this people and Jerusalem, saying, You shall have peace; whereas the sword reaches unto the soul.

605
Set up the standard toward Zion: retire, stay not: for I will bring evil from the north, and a great destruction.

606
A sound of battle is in the land, and of great destruction.

607
Behold, a people shall come from the north, and a great nation, and many kings shall be raised up from the coasts of the earth.

608
For, lo, I will raise and cause to come up against Babylon an assembly of great nations from the north country: and they shall set themselves in array against her; from there she shall be taken: their arrows shall be as of a mighty expert man; none shall return in vain.

609
A sound of a cry comes from Babylon, and great destruction from the land of the Chaldeans:

610
Because the Lord has spoiled Babylon, and destroyed out of her the great voice; when her waves do roar like great waters, a noise of their voice is uttered:

611
And burned the house of the Lord, and the king's house; and all the houses of Jerusalem, and all the houses of the great men, burned he with fire:

612
As a cage is full of birds, so are their houses full of deceit: therefore they are become great, and waxed rich.

613
I will get me unto the great men, and will speak unto them; for they have known the way of the Lord, and the judgment of their Lord: but these have altogether broken the yoke, and burst the bonds.

614
O you children of Benjamin, gather yourselves to flee out of the midst of Jerusalem, and blow the trumpet in Tekoa, and set up a sign of fire in Bethhaccerem: for evil appears out of the north, and great destruction.

615
For from the least of them even unto the greatest of them every one is given to covetousness; and from the prophet even unto the priest every one deals falsely.

616
Thus says the Lord, Behold, a people comes from the north country, and a great nation shall be raised from the sides of the earth.

617
Therefore will I give their wives unto others, and their fields to them that shall inherit them: for every one from the least even unto the greatest is given to covetousness, from the prophet even unto the priest every one deals falsely.

618
For a voice of wailing is heard out of Zion, How are we spoiled!       we are greatly confounded, because we have forsaken the land, because our dwellings have cast us out.

619
And, behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness, and struck the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead; and I only am escaped alone to tell you.

620
His substance also was seven thousand sheep, and three thousand camels, and five hundred yoke of oxen, and five hundred she asses, and a very great household; so that this man was the greatest of all the men of the east.

621
Is not your wickedness great?       and your iniquities infinite?

622
Will he plead against me with his great power?       No; but he would put strength in me.

623
So they sat down with him upon the ground seven days and seven nights, and none spoke a word unto him: for they saw that his grief was very great.

624
By the great force of my disease is my garment changed: it binds me about as the collar of my coat.

625
If I rejoiced because my wealth was great, and because mine hand had gotten much;

626
Did I fear a great multitude, or did the contempt of families terrify me, that I kept silence, and went not out of the door?

627
Great men are not always wise: neither do the aged understand judgment.

628
Behold, in this you are not just: I will answer you, that the Lord is greater than man.

629
But now, because it is not so, he has visited in his anger; yet he knows it not in great extremity:

630
Because there is wrath, beware lest he take you away with his stroke: then a great ransom cannot deliver you.

631
Behold, The Lord is great, and we know him not, neither can the number of his years be searched out.

632
The Lord thunders marvellously with his voice; great things does he, which we cannot comprehend.

633
For he says to the snow, Be you on the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of his strength.

634
Know you it, because you were then born?       or because the number of your days is great?

635
Will you trust him, because his strength is great?       or will you leave your labour to him?

636
The small and great are there; and the servant is free from his master.

637
For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.
Fear is negative Faith producing Evil fruit.

638
You shall know also that your seed shall be great, and your offspring as the grass of the earth.

639
Which does great things and unsearchable; marvellous things without number:

640
Though your beginning was small, yet your latter end should greatly increase.

641
Which does great things past finding out; yes, and wonders without number.

642
For a nation is come up upon my land, strong, and without number, whose teeth are the teeth of a lion, and he has the cheek teeth of a great lion.

643
And the Lord shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executes his word: for the day of the Lord is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?

644
And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the Lord, your Lord: for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repents him of the evil.
God does not repent because He never makes a mistake.

Our Lord is disappointed when we are foolish, weak, unbelieving and disobedient.

The law of God contains both blessing and cursing in it.       Obedience brings the blessing while rebellion brings the curse.

645
A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there has not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations.

646
But I will remove far off from you the northern army, and will drive him into a land barren and desolate, with his face toward the east sea, and his hinder part toward the utmost sea, and his stink shall come up, and his ill savour shall come up, because he has done great things.

647
Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the Lord will do great things.
Fear not, O land¿ be glad and rejoice: for the LORD will do great things.

648
And I will restore to you the years that the locust has eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.
Eternal, abundant life is the gift of our Lord.

649
The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the Lord come.

650
Put you in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness is great.

651
My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.
Eternal Security is ours by the finished work of Christ, the authority of the Lord's Word and the power of the Holy Spirit.

652
Truly, truly, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.
Though Christ Jesus is the Lord, He humbled Himself to the Will Of God.       Likewise, though we are made Sons Of The Holy Spirit in the New Birth we must humble ourselves to the Will Of God.

653
Truly, truly, I say unto you, He that believes on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
This is one of the most ignored things that Jesus said.       Why?       Because we choose to be believers only.       We resist becoming disciples.

Disciples follow their master in His footsteps learning from Him and imitating Him.

Jesus is telling us that we are to spread the Gospel, heal the sick, set captives free and make disciples of all men.

We can only do this by the power of the Holy Spirit operating in a vessel with the Mind Of Christ.

What did Jesus mean by 'I go unto my Father'?       Jesus returned to the Spirit Realm ( Heaven) when He ascended where the Holy Spirit Father is most readily experienced.       It is the seat from where The Majesty emanates throughout the universe.

654
You have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you.       If you loved me, you would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Holy Spirit Father is greater than I.
Do we grasp the implication of what Jesus is saying here?
He is saying that if we really love someone, we will rejoice when they go to the Father.
Why?       Because the Father is greater than anything on earth.

To begrudge a person going to be with the Father is selfish and unloving.

Since the Holy Spirit is the Spirit Of Christ, Jesus is talking about leaving the confines of his human physical body and returning to the Spirit Realm (heaven) where His Holy Spirit and His glory are most evident.

655
Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
The proof of love is sacrifice.

656
Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord.       If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.
Christians should go into the world expecting resistance.       To not do so is simply foolish setting the naive believer up to be offended and unfruitful.

657
Jesus answered, You could have no power at all against me, except it were given you from above: therefore he that delivered me unto you has the greater sin.
Again, Jesus speaks to those in secular authority with His spiritual authority saying that Pilate only has power because the Lord allows it.
Jesus gives Pilate a little guilt relief by telling him that His accusers are the real culprits.

658
Jesus answered and said unto him, Because I said unto you, I saw you under the fig tree, believe you?       you shall see greater things than these.

659
Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land full of great fishes, an hundred and fifty and three: and for all there were so many, yet was not the net broken.

660
He that has the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled.
Wonderful acknowledgement of place and purpose.

661
Are you greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?

662
For the Father loves the Son, and shows him all things that himself does: and he will show him greater works than these, that you may marvel.
The Holy Spirit shows us things and then we are to do them by His power.

663
In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.

664
But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which the Father has given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father has sent me.
The Holy Spirit empowered the words and works of Jesus thus providing witness to Him being the Messiah.

665
And the sea arose by reason of a great wind that blew.

666
And a great multitude followed him, because they saw his miracles which he did on them that were diseased.

667
When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he says unto Philip, Where shall we buy bread, that these may eat?

668
In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.
When we drink of Christ Jesus we are Born Again of the Holy Spirit and made ready through sanctification for Spirit Baptism.

669
Are you greater than our father Abraham, which is dead?       and the prophets are dead: whom make you yourself?
Yes, He is greater.

670
And he said unto them, Take me up, and cast me forth into the sea; so shall the sea be calm unto you: for I know that for my sake this great tempest is upon you.

671
Now the Lord had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah.       And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.

672
Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me.

673
But the Lord sent out a great wind into the sea, and there was a mighty tempest in the sea, so that the ship was like to be broken.

674
Arise, go unto Nineveh, that great city, and preach unto it the preaching that I bid you.

675
So Jonah arose, and went unto Nineveh, according to the word of the Lord.       Now Nineveh was an exceeding great city of three days' journey.

676
So the people of Nineveh believed the Lord, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them.

677
And should not I spare Nineveh, that great city, wherein are more than sixscore thousand persons that cannot discern between their right hand and their left hand; and also much cattle?

678
And he prayed unto the Lord, and said, I pray you, O Lord, was not this my saying, when I was yet in my country?       Therefore I fled before unto Tarshish: for I knew that you are a gracious the Lord, and compassionate, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repent you of the evil.
God does not repent because He never makes a mistake.

Our Lord is disappointed when we are foolish, weak, unbelieving and disobedient.

The law of God contains both blessing and cursing in it.       Obedience brings the blessing while rebellion brings the curse.

679
And the Lord discomfited them before Israel, and slew them with a great slaughter at Gibeon, and chased them along the way that goes up to Bethhoron, and struck them to Azekah, and unto Makkedah.

680
And it came to pass, as they fled from before Israel, and were in the going down to Bethhoron, that the Lord cast down great stones from heaven upon them unto Azekah, and they died: they were more which died with hailstones than they whom the children of Israel slew with the sword.

681
And Joshua said, Roll great stones upon the mouth of the cave, and set men by it for to keep them:

682
That they feared greatly, because Gibeon was a great city, as one of the royal cities, and because it was greater than Ai, and all the men thereof were mighty.

683
And it came to pass, when Joshua and the children of Israel had made an end of slaying them with a very great slaughter, till they were consumed, that the rest which remained of them entered into fenced cities.

684
And it came to pass at the time of the going down of the sun, that Joshua commanded, and they took them down off the trees, and cast them into the cave wherein they had been hid, and laid great stones in the cave's mouth, which remain until this very day.

685
And the Lord delivered them into the hand of Israel, who struck them, and chased them unto great Sidon, and unto Misrephothmaim, and unto the valley of Mizpah eastward; and they struck them, until they left them none remaining.

686
Now therefore give me this mountain, whereof the Lord spoke in that day; for you heard in that day how the Anakims were there, and that the cities were great and fenced: if so be the Lord will be with me, then I shall be able to drive them out, as the Lord said.

687
And the name of Hebron before was Kirjatharba; which Arba was a great man among the Anakims.       And the land had rest from war.

688
And the west border was to the great sea, and the coast thereof.       This is the coast of the children of Judah round about according to their families.

689
Ashdod with her towns and her villages, Gaza with her towns and her villages, unto the river of Egypt, and the great sea, and the border thereof:

690
And the children of Joseph spoke unto Joshua, saying, Why have you given me but one lot and one portion to inherit, seeing I am a great people, forasmuch as the Lord has blessed me hitherto?

691
And Joshua answered them, If you be a great people, then get you up to the wood country, and cut down for yourself there in the land of the Perizzites and of the giants, if mount Ephraim be too narrow for you.

692
And Joshua spoke unto the house of Joseph, even to Ephraim and to Manasseh, saying, You are a great people, and have great power: you shall not have one lot only:

693
And Hebron, and Rehob, and Hammon, and Kanah, even unto great Sidon;

694
From the wilderness and this Lebanon even unto the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and unto the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your coast.

695
And when they came unto the borders of Jordan, that are in the land of Canaan, the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh built there an altar by Jordan, a great altar to see to.

696
Behold, I have divided unto you by lot these nations that remain, to be an inheritance for your tribes, from Jordan, with all the nations that I have cut off, even unto the great sea westward.

697
For the Lord has driven out from before you great nations and strong: but as for you, no man has been able to stand before you unto this day.

698
For the Lord, our Lord, he it is that brought us up and our fathers out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage, and which did those great signs in our sight, and preserved us in all the way wherein we went, and among all the people through whom we passed:

699
And Joshua wrote these words in the book of the law of the Lord, and took a great stone, and set it up there under an oak, that was by the sanctuary of the Lord.

700
So the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets: and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city.

701
And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram's horn, and when you hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city shall fall down flat, and the people shall ascend up every man straight before him.
This actually happened but it is also prophetic of how the Lord will Return with a great shout at the Last Trump with the Believers rejoicing as they are Translated to be with the Lord while the Earth below experiences the Day Of Wrath and falls down flat.

702
And they raised over him a great heap of stones unto this day.       So the Lord turned from the fierceness of his anger.       Wherefore the name of that place was called, The valley of Achor, unto this day.

703
For the Canaanites and all the inhabitants of the land shall hear of it, and shall environ us round, and cut off our name from the earth: and what will you do unto your great name?

And the king of Ai he hanged on a tree until eventide: and as soon as the sun was down, Joshua commanded that they should take his carcase down from the tree, and cast it at the entering of the gate of the city, and raise thereon a great heap of stones, that remains unto this day.

705
And it came to pass, when all the kings which were on this side Jordan, in the hills, and in the valleys, and in all the coasts of the great sea over against Lebanon, the Hittite, and the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite, heard thereof;

706
These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaks great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage.
Carnal Minded people serving the flesh.

707
And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.
We must stand firm in the Truth of the Gospel of Grace Through Faith.

What sin did the angels commit?       Rebellion against the Lord.

How many angels rebelled against the Lord?       We don't know.       Some speculate that as many as one third of the host rebelled.       .        In The Judgment those angels that rebelled will join Satan in the Lake Of Fire.

708
And he struck them from Aroer, even till you come to Minnith, even twenty cities, and unto the plain of the vineyards, with a very great slaughter.       Thus the children of Ammon were subdued before the children of Israel.

717

724
And Israel was greatly impoverished because of the Midianites; and the children of Israel cried unto the Lord.

725
How does the city sit solitary, that was full of people!       how is she become as a widow!       she that was great among the nations, and princess among the provinces, how is she become tributary!

726
Judah is gone into captivity because of affliction, and because of great servitude: she dwells among the heathen, she finds no rest: all her persecutors overtook her between the straits.

727
What thing shall I take to witness for you?       what thing shall I liken to you, O daughter of Jerusalem?       what shall I equal to you, that I may comfort you, O virgin daughter of Zion?       for your breach is great like the sea: who can heal you?

728
They are new every morning: great is your faithfulness.

729
For the punishment of the iniquity of the daughter of my people is greater than the punishment of the sin of Sodom, that was overthrown as in a moment, and no hands stayed on her.

730
And the little owl, and the cormorant, and the great owl,

731
And the priest shall take some of the blood of the trespass offering, and the priest shall put it upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot:

732
And of the rest of the oil that is in his hand shall the priest put upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot, upon the blood of the trespass offering:

733
And he shall kill the lamb of the trespass offering, and the priest shall take some of the blood of the trespass offering, and put it upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot:

734
And the priest shall put of the oil that is in his hand upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot, upon the place of the blood of the trespass offering:

Woe unto you, Chorazin!       woe unto you, Bethsaida!       for if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon, which have been done in you, they had a great while ago repented, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.
His generation saw the Lord do miracles and heard Him preach the kingdom.

738
Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray you therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.
Every person should hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ so there is work to do.

739
The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation, and condemn them: for she came from the utmost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.
Solomon's wisdom is carnal while Jesus' wisdom is spiritual.
Solomon's wealth was in gold and silver while Jesus' wealth was in the HolySpirt.
Solomon was the son of David, while Jesus is the Son Of The Holy Spirit.

740
The men of Nineve shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and, behold, a greater than Jonah is here.
Jonah was a rebellious prophet while Jesus is the sacrificial prophet.

741
And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods.
He 'bestowed' his bounty into inanimate objects - barns.

742
It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew, and waxed a great tree; and the fowls of the air lodged in the branches of it.
The Kingdom Of God is supposed to grow and reach all people everywhere.

743
Then said he unto him, A certain man made a great supper, and bade many:

744
And there went great multitudes with him: and he turned, and said unto them,

745
Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sends an ambassage, and desires conditions of peace.
The conditions of surrender to Christ is unconditional.

746
And he arose, and came to his father.       But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.
The Lord has compassion - love which reaches out to heal and to make whole.

747
And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from there.
The gulf is attitude toward the Lord.

748
For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother's womb.
John was a unique person in the Lord's plan.       He was born with the Holy Spirit.

Jesus was born of the Holy Spirit and then filled with the Holy Spirit at His water baptism.

749
He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord shall give unto him the throne of his father David:
Who is the Highest?       The Lord.
Who is the Lord the Lord?       The Holy Spirit.

Jesus was annointed (that's what Christ means) by the Holy Spirit.       So it is the Holy Spirit who gives Jesus the throne and makes Him Lord the Lord.       The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Jesus.

750
For he that is mighty has done to me great things; and holy is his name.
He that is mighty is the Mighty God who is Christ Jesus, the same being who was in her womb.       The name of the Lord before Jesus was born is Holy Spirit.       The Holy Spirit is the Father of Christ Jesus but He is also the Spirit Of Christ Jesus.

Jesus begat Himself by His Holy Spirit!

751
And her neighbours and her cousins heard how the Lord had showed great kindness upon her; and they rejoiced with her.

752
Which devour widows' houses, and for a show make long prayers: the same shall receive greater damnation.

753
And great earthquakes shall be in diverse places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.
Without the assurance of the love, mercy, Grace, Protection and provision of the Lord, men's hearts will fail them in the Great Tribulation.       -

754
But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days!       for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.

755
And then shall they see the Son Of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
Christ will appear and every eye will see Him.

756
And there was also a strife among them, which of them should be accounted the greatest.
selfish focus on position.

757
But you shall not be so: but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that does serve.
Jesus achieved His status by service to the Father.

758
For whether is greater, he that sits at meat, or he that serves?       is not he that sits at meat?       but I am among you as he that serves.

759
And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

760
And there followed him a great company of people, and of women, which also bewailed and lamented him.

761
And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy:

762
And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
peace from the Lord to man.       It is not talking about peace between men.       That kind of peace must be followed after.

763
And there was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser: she was of a great age, and had lived with an husband seven years from her virginity;

764
To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.

765
But I tell you of a truth, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, when great famine was throughout all the land;

766
And he arose out of the synagogue, and entered into Simon's house.       And Simon's wife's mother was taken with a great fever; and they besought him for her.

767
But so much the more went there a fame abroad of him: and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities.
The fame corresponded to faith.

768
And Levi made him a great feast in his own house: and there was a great company of publicans and of others that sat down with them.

769
And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net broke.
Jesus had told them to cast nets.       The one net could not hold the catch,

770
And he came down with them, and stood in the plain, and the company of his disciples, and a great multitude of people out of all Judaea and Jerusalem, and from the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, which came to hear him, and to be healed of their diseases;
Jesus left the towns where unbelief reigned to go to the sea shore, mountains and, in this case, the plains to escape the unbelievers so that healings and miracles could be done.

771
Rejoice you in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.
The Lord has special blessings in store for those who suffer for Christ's sake.

772
But love you your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and you shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.
This is only possible by the love of the Lord in you.

773
But he that hears, and does not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.
An unbeliever will be unstable.

774
And there came a fear on all: and they glorified the Lord, saying, That a great prophet is risen up among us; and, That the Lord has visited his people.
Unfortunately, fear instead of faith is the human reaction to the supernatural.

775
For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist: but he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.
I believe that 'least' had to do with the scope of John's message.       It was a message of repentance or The Judgment.       The Gospel of Grace Through Faith is the message of the Kingdom Of God.

776
When Jesus heard these things, he marvelled at him, and turned him about, and said unto the people that followed him, I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
What Jesus was looking for in the Jews He foind in the Roman gentile.

777
Then the whole multitude of the country of the Gadarenes round about besought him to depart from them; for they were taken with great fear: and he went up into the ship, and returned back again.
The status quo is better than the supernatural to many people including many Christians.

778
Return to your own house, and show how great things the Lord has done unto you.       And he went his way, and published throughout the whole city how great things Jesus had done unto him.
He became a witness for Christ.

779
Then there arose a reasoning among them, which of them should be greatest.
CarbalMinded bickering.

780
And said unto them, Whoever shall receive this child in my name receives me: and whoever shall receive me receives him that sent me: for he that is least among you all, the same shall be great.
We must operate in love in order to be received.

781
For from the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the same my name shall be great among the Gentiles; and in every place incense shall be offered unto my name, and a pure offering: for my name shall be great among the heathen, says the Lord of hosts.

782
But cursed be the deceiver, which has in his flock a male, and vows, and sacrifices unto the Lord a corrupt thing: for I am a great King, says the Lord of hosts, and my name is dreadful among the heathen.

783
Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord:
The Day Of The Lord begins with Rapture followed by the Day Of Wrath which will be poured out from above by Jesus who appears in the sky at His Return.

784
And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions.
He apparently wanted what the Lord had but not the Lord Himself.

785
But Jesus called them to him, and says unto them, You know that they which are accounted to rule over the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and their great ones exercise authority upon them.
Another lesson.       This time on how the Lord grants position.

786
But so shall it not be among you: but whoever will be great among you, shall be your minister:
Service is what the Lord is looking for in our performance.

787
And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging.

788
And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, You son of David, have kindness on me.
Persistence and determination results in victory.

789
He is not the Lord of the dead, but the Lord of the living: you therefore do greatly err.
And that settles that.

790
And the second is like, namely this, You shall love your neighbour as yourself.       There is no other commandment greater than these.
This is not the second commandment but it is second in importance.

791
Which devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayers: these shall receive greater damnation.
But they gather their wealth by taking advantage of the weak.

792
And Jesus answering said unto him, See you these great buildings?       there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
Jesus is speaking of the destruction of Jerusalem that will happen 40 years later.

793
And then shall they see the Son Of Man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.
Jesus will appear in glorious light just as the natural sources of light dim.

794
And immediately, while he yet spoke, comes Judas, one of the twelve, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and the scribes and the elders.
They come in force to take the lamb.

795
And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great.
see Crucifixion Week for details.

796
And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.
Preparation is critical for success in any effort.       Before Jesus started His ministry He went into the wilderness and fasted 40 days during which time the Holy Spirit and the angels ministered to Him in preparation for the work.       But it was also necessary to prepare for each individual day as well.

797
But Jesus withdrew himself with his disciples to the sea: and a great multitude from Galilee followed him, and from Judaea,
Jesus left the areas of the Synagogue and Temple which were ruled by unbelievers and went to the seaside where He could preach and teach freely to those who had faith.

798
And from Jerusalem, and from Idumaea, and from beyond Jordan; and they about Tyre and Sidon, a great multitude, when they had heard what great things he did, came unto him.
The Gospel of Grace Through Faith draws people of all walks because it is about the love and mercy of the Lord.

799
And he began again to teach by the sea side: and there was gathered unto him a great multitude, so that he entered into a ship, and sat in the sea; and the whole multitude was by the sea on the land.
The true Gospel of Christ Jesus will draw the masses.

800
But when it is sown, it grows up, and becomes greater than all herbs, and shoots out great branches; so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it.
The Kingdom Of God is intended to manifest in each of us.       It has come to us through the Truth of the Word and the Truth and power of the Holy Spirit.       We are commanded to preach the Gospel of Truth to every creature and thereby see the Lord's will done on earth through men as it is in heaven.

801
And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.

802
And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still.       And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
A simple command from the Commander In Chief and nature responds.

Jesus did not do this just to prove that He could.       He did it as an example to the disciples, how that they should assume the authority He had given them and exercise dominion over the earth, including nature.

The very next verse tells us that Jesus expected His disciples to operate in faith to deal with all the issues of life.

803
Now there was there near unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding.

804
Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but says unto him, Go home to your friends, and tell them how great things the Lord has done for you, and has had compassion on you.
We must spend time with Christ to be prepared, but we must also share what Christ has done for us with others in order to give freely what we have freely received.

805
And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel.
The Testimony Of Jesus Christ is the Spirit of prophecy.       The former demoniac is now a witness for Christ Jesus.

806
And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lies at the point of death: I pray you, come and lay your hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live.
Jairus believed that Jesus could heal his daughter.

807
And he comes to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and sees the tumult, and them that wept and wailed greatly.
Human sorrow and compassion touches the heart of our Lord.

808
And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years.       And they were astonished with a great astonishment.
Immediately life returns to her body at the command of the King.       The faithful and the unbelievers are all astonished at this miracle.

809
And he charged them that they should tell no man: but the more he charged them, so much the more a great deal they published it;
Jesus' celebrity status was creating a frenzy in the populace.       So, Jesus tried to keep the people under control by suppressing some of the testimonies.       He wanted to finish His work of ministry before He took on His role as sacrificial lamb.

810
In those days the multitude being very great, and having nothing to eat, Jesus called his disciples unto him, and says unto them,
Here is the second instance of a natural human need being met in abundance and excess.

811
And when he came to his disciples, he saw a great multitude about them, and the scribes questioning with them.
The scribes were trying to obtain evidence against Jesus from His disciples.

812
And straightway all the people, when they beheld him, were greatly amazed, and running to him saluted him.
But the people came running to Jesus because they knew He was of the Holy Spirit.

813
But they held their peace: for by the way they had disputed among themselves, who should be the greatest.
Here we have men who have been given power to heal and exorcise and yet they are so immature spiritually that they are concerned about who is the 'best' among them.

814
Truly I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there has not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.
John the Baptist never experienced the New Birth in his lifetime.       Those who enter the Kingdom Of Heaven have been born of the Word and Holy Spirit and have become citizens of heaven.       They are seated with Christ in Heavenly Places.       John died, went to paradise and received the testimony of Jesus there.

The Kingdom Of Heaven is motivated by the Holy Spirit who issues from the Spirit Realm into the Physical Realm.

815
But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from there: and great multitudes followed him, and he healed them all;
Jesus avoided immediate destruction by leaving.       Believers followed Him and were healed.

816
The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and, behold, a greater than Jonah is here.
Relative guilt is an important thing for Christ.       Previous generations received varying degrees of warning which they ignored suffering the judgment of the Lord.       The people that heard Jesus and saw Him perform healings and miracles have received the ultimate witness and in rejection of that witness have the greater guilt and will receive more severe judgment.

817
The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.
see note from

818
But I say unto you, That in this place is one greater than the temple.
Jesus is the Lord, greater than the Law and greater than the Temple.

819
And great multitudes were gathered together unto him, so that he went into a ship, and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore.

820
Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.
Pure faith (no unbelief) does not need to be large but it does need to be rock solid.       If it is, it will produce a tree that will bless many people.

821
Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.
Jesus is the Pearl Of Great Price and it takes all that one has to purchase Him.

822
And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.
It was the compassion that Jesus had which enabled Him to heal their sick.

Compassion is love in action.

823
Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is your faith: be it unto you even as you will.       And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.
When Jesus honored her great faith with words her daughter was made whole.       She actually willed her daughter to be made whole by her faith in Christ Jesus.       All Jesus did was acknowledge what had happened.

824
And great multitudes came unto him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus' feet; and he healed them:
The multitudes came to Him.       This is a critical point.       Their coming was an act of faith.       Their casting the sick and maimed at Jesus's feet was committed faith.       Jesus always responds to faith.

825
And his disciples say unto him, Where should we have so much bread in the wilderness, as to fill so great a multitude?
They had already forgotten about the other mass feeding.

826
At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?
Striving for mastery.       Concerned about rank.       This is the evidence of pride.

827
Whoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
true humility results in being exalted by the Lord.

828
And great multitudes followed him; and he healed them there.
Those who come to Jesus receive what they need.

829
But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.
Commitment requires denying oneself for the things of the Lord.

830
But Jesus called them unto him, and said, You know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them.
This is the way of the world.

831
But it shall not be so among you: but whoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;
service is the mark of a godly leader.       Positions in the kingdom are positions of service.

832
And as they departed from Jericho, a great multitude followed him.
More people coming to Jesus to receive healing and deliverance.       Jesus meets the needs of those who come to Him.

833
And a very great multitude spread their garments in the way; others cut down branches from the trees, and strawed them in the way.

834
Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
The pharisees were still seething because of the worship Jesus received from the multitude when He entered jerusalem.

835
This is the first and great commandment.
We cannot love by commandment.       We can only love by the gift of love which comes in and through the indwelling Holy Spirit.

Jesus commanded the rich young ruler to try to live up to this in and of himself knowing that he could not.

Jesus came to set the performance bar so high that all of us would fail and recognize our need for His Grace.

836
But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.
When a Christian is placed in a position of leadership they are actually receiving a heavier responsibility of service and accountability.

837
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!       for you devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore you shall receive the greater damnation.
Religious pretense is an abomination.

838
You fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifies the gold?
Only the Spiritual Minded individuals sees into the Kingdom Of Heaven.       The Carnal Minded see only the Physical Realm.

839
You fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifies the gift?

840
For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
This begins His answer to the question: 'What is the sign of your coming?'

The Great Tribulation will make travel and commerce difficult.       Especially for those who have not received the mark, name or number of the beast.

841
For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
Signs and wonders should not be followed as there will be satanically empowered false christs and prophets going after those In Christ.

842
And then shall appear the sign of the Son Of Man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son Of Man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

843
And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of the Lord: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.       -

844
And while he yet spoke, lo, Judas, one of the twelve, came, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and elders of the people.

845
And he answered him to never a word; insomuch that the governor marvelled greatly.

846
Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of the Holy Spirit.
An honest heart, one with a Love Of The Truth, will be swayed by the evidence of the Truth.

This centurion heard the claims of Jesus, the accusations against Him, the words of Jesus as He hung on the cross and saw the upheaval in nature.       He drew the right conclusion.

847
And laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock: and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre, and departed.

848
And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.

849
And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word.
When we have a testimony that goes against Political Correctness we have to deal with fear of retribution.       But in that fear we should allow joy to overwhelm and comfort us.

850
When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.

851
In Rama was there a voice heard, lamentation, and weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, and would not be comforted, because they are not.
More prophesy about the Christ being fulfilled.

852
The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.
Jesus is the embodiment of the prophetic Word Of The Lord.       He understood His calling and was obedient even to the death of the cross.

853
And there followed him great multitudes of people from Galilee, and from Decapolis, and from Jerusalem, and from Judaea, and from beyond Jordan.
They followed to see the show and eat the loaves and fishes.       In the end they all forsook Him.

854
Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
It is an honor to be persecuted for Christ's sake and we ought to thank and praise the Lord for the privilege.

855
Whoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
The law defines the Lord's moral standards.       As New Creatures we have that law written in our hearts.       Whether it is on stones or in our hearts or whether man chooses to ignore it, it is still the Law Of God by which man will be judged.

Christ created new law which superceded the original law.       It is the law of Grace Through Faith.

856
Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King.
As a human being we have no authority to invoke power that is not ours.

857
But if your eye be evil, your whole body shall be full of darkness.       If therefore the light that is in you be darkness, how great is that darkness!
An evil eye is one that entertains evil.       When evil appears it does not avert but gazes.

If you allow darkness to be your focus you will become evil.       It is inevitable.

858
And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
Nothing will stand except that which is rooted in Christ Jesus.       Only the seed of His Word can produce a plant with roots in the Lord Jesus.       All other seed produces roots that are incapable of withstanding the storm.

859
When he was come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him.
They were amazed at His teaching and the healings and miracles that He performed.

860
When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Truly I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
Faith with no unbelief results in the power of the Lord being released.

861
Now when Jesus saw great multitudes about him, he gave commandment to depart unto the other side.
The physical demand on Christ caused Him to steal away at times for refreshing.

862
And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep.
Jesus was not perturbed by a disruption in the natural elements.

863
And he says unto them, Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?       Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.
Fear is a sign of weakness and results in defeat.       Fear is a manifestation of unbelief.

Nature is subject to man going all the way back to the eden .        Jesus demonstrated that dominion.

864
I will surely assemble, O Jacob, all of you; I will surely gather the remnant of Israel; I will put them together as the sheep of Bozrah, as the flock in the midst of their fold: they shall make great noise by reason of the multitude of men.

865
And he shall stand and feed in the strength of the Holy Spirit, in the majesty of the name of the Lord Almighty; and they shall abide: for now shall he be great unto the ends of the earth.
And He ( Jesus) shall stand and in the strength of His Holy Spirit, in The Majesty of the name ( Jesus) of His Holy Spirit who is God .

Jesus, the body and soul of the Holy Spirit, will reign forever.       All will come to bow down before Him.

866
That they may do evil with both hands earnestly, the prince asks, and the judge asks for a reward; and the great man, he utters his mischievous desire: so they wrap it up.

867
The Lord is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the Lord has his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.

868
Yet was she carried away, she went into captivity: her young children also were dashed in pieces at the top of all the streets: and they cast lots for her honourable men, and all her great men were bound in chains.

869
Your crowned are as the locusts, and your captains as the great grasshoppers, which camp in the hedges in the cold day, but when the sun arises they flee away, and their place is not known where they are.

870
The horseman lifts up both the bright sword and the glittering spear: and there is a multitude of slain, and a great number of carcases; and there is none end of their corpses; they stumble upon their corpses:

871
And their brothers, mighty men of valour, an hundred twenty and eight: and their overseer was Zabdiel, the son of one of the great men.

872
Then I brought up the princes of Judah upon the wall, and appointed two great companies of them that gave thanks, whereof one went on the right hand upon the wall toward the dung gate:

873
Also that day they offered great sacrifices, and rejoiced: for the Lord had made them rejoice with great joy: the wives also and the children rejoiced: so that the joy of Jerusalem was heard even afar off.

874
And I commanded the Levites that they should cleanse themselves, and that they should come and keep the gates, to sanctify the sabbath day.       Remember me, O my Lord, concerning this also, and spare me according to the greatness of your kindness.

875
Shall we then hearken unto you to do all this great evil, to transgress against our Lord in marrying strange wives?

876
And he had prepared for him a great chamber, where aforetime they laid the meat offerings, the frankincense, and the vessels, and the tithes of the corn, the new wine, and the oil, which was commanded to be given to the Levites, and the singers, and the porters; and the offerings of the priests.

877
Now these are your servants and your people, whom you have redeemed by your great power, and by your strong hand.

878
And they said unto me, The remnant that are left of the captivity there in the province are in great affliction and reproach: the wall of Jerusalem also is broken down, and the gates thereof are burned with fire.

879
And said, I beseech you, O Lord of heaven, the great and terrible Lord, that keeps covenant and kindness for them that love him and observe his commandments:
Notice that Mercy and Promises are for those who Love God and Obey Him.

880
After them the Tekoites repaired another piece, over against the great tower that lies out, even unto the wall of Ophel.

881
But it came to pass, that when Sanballat heard that we builded the wall, he was angry, and took great indignation, and mocked the Jews.

882
And I looked, and rose up, and said unto the nobles, and to the rulers, and to the rest of the people, Be not you afraid of them: remember the Lord, which is great and terrible, and fight for your brothers, your sons, and your daughters, your wives, and your houses.

883
And I said unto the nobles, and to the rulers, and to the rest of the people, The work is great and large, and we are separated upon the wall, one far from another.

884
And there was a great cry of the people and of their wives against their brothers the Jews.

885
Then I consulted with myself, and I rebuked the nobles, and the rulers, and said unto them, You exact usury, every one of his brother.       And I set a great assembly against them.

886
And I sent messengers unto them, saying, I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down: why should the work cease, while I leave it, and come down to you?

887
Now the city was large and great: but the people were few therein, and the houses were not builded.

888
And all the people went their way to eat, and to drink, and to send portions, and to make great mirth, because they had understood the words that were declared unto them.

889
And all the congregation of them that were come again out of the captivity made booths, and sat under the booths: for since the days of Jeshua the son of Nun unto that day had not the children of Israel done so.       And there was very great gladness.

890
And Ezra blessed the Lord, the great Lord.       And all the people answered, Amen, Amen, with lifting up their hands: and they bowed their heads, and worshipped the Lord with their faces to the ground.

891
And refused to obey, neither were mindful of your wonders that you did among them; but hardened their necks, and in their rebellion appointed a captain to return to their bondage: but you are a god ready to pardon, gracious and compassionate, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and forsook them not.

892
Yes, when they had made them a molten calf, and said, This is your Lord that brought you up out of Egypt, and had wrought great provocations;

893
And they took strong cities, and a fat land, and possessed houses full of all goods, wells digged, vineyards, and oliveyards, and fruit trees in abundance: so they did eat, and were filled, and became fat, and delighted themselves in your great goodness.

894
Nevertheless they were disobedient, and rebelled against you, and cast your law behind their backs, and slew your prophets which testified against them to turn them to you, and they wrought great provocations.

895
Nevertheless for your great kindnesses' sake you did not utterly consume them, nor forsake them; for you are a gracious and comapassionate Lord.

896
Now therefore, our Lord, the great, the mighty, and the terrible Lord, who keeps covenant and kindness, let not all the trouble seem little before you, that has come upon us, on our kings, on our princes, and on our priests, and on our prophets, and on our fathers, and on all your people, since the time of the kings of Assyria unto this day.

897
For they have not served you in their kingdom, and in your great goodness that you gave them, and in the large and fat land which you gave before them, neither turned they from their wicked works.

898
And it yields much increase unto the kings whom you have set over us because of our sins: also they have dominion over our bodies, and over our cattle, at their pleasure, and we are in great distress.

899
Then Moses heard the people weep throughout their families, every man in the door of his tent: and the anger of the Lord was kindled greatly; Moses also was displeased.

900
And while the flesh was yet between their teeth, ere it was chewed, the wrath of the Lord was kindled against the people, and the Lord struck the people with a very great plague.

901
Nevertheless the people be strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are walled, and very great: and moreover we saw the children of Anak there.

902
And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eats up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature.

903
I will strike them with the pestilence, and disinherit them, and will make of you a greater nation and mightier than they.

904
And now, I beseech you, let the power of my Lord be great, according as you have spoken, saying,

905
The Lord is longsuffering, and of great kindness, forgiving iniquity and transgression, and by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation.

906
Pardon, I beseech you, the iniquity of this people according unto the greatness of your kindness, and as you have forgiven this people, from Egypt even until now.

907
And Moses told these sayings unto all the children of Israel: and the people mourned greatly.

908
For I will promote you unto very great honour, and I will do whatsoever you say unto me: come therefore, I pray you, curse me this people.

909
Behold, the people shall rise up as a great lion, and lift up himself as a young lion: he shall not lie down until he eat of the prey, and drink the blood of the slain.

910
Therefore now flee you to your place: I thought to promote you unto great honour; but, lo, the Lord has kept you back from honour.

911
He couched, he lay down as a lion, and as a great lion: who shall stir him up?       Blessed is he that blesses you, and cursed is he that curses you.

912
Now the children of Reuben and the children of Gad had a very great multitude of cattle: and when they saw the land of Jazer, and the land of Gilead, that, behold, the place was a place for cattle;

913
And as for the western border, you shall even have the great sea for a border: this shall be your west border.

914
And this shall be your north border: from the great sea you shall point out for you mount Hor:

915
Behold, I have made you small among the heathen: you are greatly despised.

916
For the Lord is my record, how greatly I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ.
Partners have a special bond that goes beyond the love of the brotherhood.       This bond is one of debt which need not and cannot be paid back.       If is of the type which we owe Christ.

917
But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me has flourished again; wherein you were also careful, but you lacked opportunity.
Paul is thanking the Phillipians for their financial support recognizing that it was delayed in arriving by lack of opportunity.

918
For we have great joy and consolation in your love, because the bowels of the saints are refreshed by you, brother.
Our gifts and support of the Gospel produce much fruit not the least of which is joy.

919
There is that makes himself rich, yet has nothing: there is that makes himself poor, yet has great riches.

920
He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalts folly.

921
Better is little with the fear of the Lord than great treasure and trouble therewith.

922
Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues without right.

923
A man's gift makes room for him, and brings him before great men.

924
He also that is slothful in his work is brother to him that is a great waster.

925
A man of great wrath shall suffer punishment: for if you deliver him, yet you must do it again.

926
A GOOD name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold.

927
The father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice: and he that begets a wise child shall have joy of him.

928
Put not forth yourself in the presence of the king, and stand not in the place of great men:

929
The great Lord that formed all things both rewards the fool, and rewards transgressors.

930
When righteous men do rejoice, there is great glory: but when the wicked rise, a man is hidden.

931
The prince that cries understanding is also a great oppressor: but he that hates covetousness shall prolong his days.

932
He shall die without instruction; and in the greatness of his folly he shall go astray.
A person who does not attend to God wil invariably undermine their own life through Foolish Choices.

933
For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his kindness toward them that fear him.
Our Lord is holy (perfect) in all His ways.       His good to the nth power.       His Grace is immeasurable,

By receiving Christ Jesus as Saviour and Lord we enter into His Grace.

Those who reject HIm only experience death, death and more death.

934
Bless the Lord, O my soul.       O Lord my Lord, you are very great; you are clothed with honour and majesty.
We were created for Him.       It is in Him that we find fulfilment.

935
So is this great and wide sea, wherein are things creeping innumerable, both small and great beasts.
The seas are impressive in their expansiveness.       The universe is impressive in its expansiveness.       But our Lord created them all and exceeds them all in His glory and magnificence.

936
And he increased his people greatly; and made them stronger than their enemies.
The Lord prospers His people as they honour Him.

937
They forgot the Lord their saviour, which had done great things in Egypt;
We have to remind ourselves that all good things come to us from our loving Creator, Saviour and Lord.

938
They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters;
All the commerce that men do is enabled by the gifts of their Creator.

939
He blesses them also, so that they are multiplied greatly; and suffers not their cattle to decrease.
prosperity and increase are of the Lord.       poverty and shrinkage are of Satan.

940
For your kindness is great above the heavens: and your truth reaches unto the clouds.
A fixed heart is one that has received revelation of the kindness of the Lord.

941
I will greatly praise the Lord with my mouth; yes, I will praise him among the multitude.
Our only offering to our Lord is that of praise, thanksgiving and testimony of His Grace.       We are to proclaim Christ Jesus to every creature.

942
The works of the Lord are great, sought out of all them that have pleasure therein.
Not everyone desires the Lord.       That is amazing but it is reality.       For those that appreciate Him for who He is and what He has done, their pleasure is in Him.

943
Praise you the Lord.       Blessed is the man that fears the Lord, that delights greatly in his commandments.
This is not just an observation, it is a Spiritual Law.       When a person acknowledges the Lord His blessings flow to that person.

944
He will bless them that fear the Lord, both small and great.
no one is excluded from His Grace.       Thos who are excluded have excluded themselves by unbelief.

945
I believed, therefore have I spoken: I was greatly afflicted:
experience teaches us that men are untrustworthy, that they are all liars.       In understanding the frailty of man and the perfection of our Lord we move from vulnerability to invincibility.

946
For his compassionate kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the Lord endures for ever.       Praise you the Lord.

947
Great are your tender kindnesses, O Lord: quicken me according to your judgments.
We are made alive by the Word and Holy Spirit in us.

948
I rejoice at your word, as one that finds great spoil.
Until a person reaches the point that the Word Of The Lord is the most precious thing in life, they will flounder around.

949
Great peace have they which love your law: and nothing shall offend them.
The power of the Word in our lives is immeasurable.       It insulates us from all the attacks of the enemy.

950
The proud have had me greatly in derision: yet have I not declined from your law.
The proud are those that trust in themselves and humanity.

We must make up our minds to judge all men by the their faith in Christ or unbelief about him.

951
Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The Lord has done great things for them.
When we are Born Again, made New Spirit beings who are Free Indeed we experience the joy of the Holy Spirit.

All we can do to try to repay our Lord is to testify to unbelievers of the great and wonderful things He has done for us.

952
The Lord has done great things for us; whereof we are glad.
His amazing Grace keeps on expanding as we draw from the fountain of His Holy Spirit.       We rejoice in Him for such love.

953
Lord, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty: neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things too high for me.
The Lord provides wisdom and knowledge in due time.       If we get ahead of Him we enter into error.

954
Who struck great nations, and slew mighty kings;
The power of the Holy Spirit gave israel victory after victory.

955
For I know that the Lord is great, and that our Lord is above all gods.

956
To him which struck great kings: for his kindness endures for ever:

957
To him who alone does great wonders: for his kindness endures for ever.

958
To him that made great lights: for his kindness endures for ever:

959
Yes, they shall sing in the ways of the Lord: for great is the glory of the Lord.

960
How precious also are your thoughts unto me, O Lord!       how great is the sum of them!
The Word Of The Lord is our foundation.       It is Truth and it is life.

961
Send your hand from above; rid me, and deliver me out of great waters, from the hand of strange children;
When Christ returns we will be caught up from the earth into the clouds where He is.       We will be saved from the Day Of Wrath that follows our rapture.

962
Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.
Being aware that you have only scratched the surface of your Lord's Grace and love is an indication of having received some revelation knowledge of Him which will grow throughout eternity,

963
And men shall speak of the might of your terrible acts: and I will declare your greatness.
It is amazing how often people respond with their own stories of the Lord's intervention in their lives as we tell what He has done for us.

It is in the communication of our experiences with the Lord that the Holy Spirit manifests to validate our words.

964
They shall abundantly utter the memory of your great goodness, and shall sing of your righteousness.
As we testify of Him, the Holy Spirit wells up inside of us so that we want to sing praises to His goodness and righteousness.

965
The Lord is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great kindness.
This revelation of the Lord's nature comes by spiritual revelation.       It comes to those who have a Love Of The Truth, who hunger and thirst for His righteousness.

966
Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.
All power in heaven and earth belong to Jesus.       His Holy Spirit is omnipresent and He knows all things.

967
There were they in great fear: for the Lord is in the generation of the righteous.
When a person rejects the Lord they move into a pervasive, permanent state of fear that only deepens as they go further into wickedness.

But the Lord brings love, joy and peace into the person's life who aligns with Him such that they lose all fear in His perfect love.

968
Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.
When we realize that everything we are or have or experience is a gift from the Lord, we automatically lift our hearts, our hands and our voices in praise and glory and honour to Him.

969
You have also given me the shield of your salvation: and your right hand has held me up, and your gentleness has made me great.
The Lord is our shield from accusation, from judgment and from every attack of the enemy.       He is our salvation.

970
Great deliverance gives he to his king; and shows kindness to his anointed, to David, and to his seed for evermore.

971
Moreover by them is your servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.
The Spiritual Laws of the Lord are for our protection and prosperity.

972
Keep back your servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.
Presumptuous Sin is evidence of pride, arrogance and foolishness.       It ignores the fact that sin has consequences.

The Great Transgression is idolatry, specifically Self Worship.

973
The king shall joy in your strength, O Lord; and in your salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!
This Psalm has two parts:

Praise, honour and glory to the Lord for His character and His blessings upon the King of israel and

prophecy of the End Of The Age when Christ returns and the Day Of Wrath is unleashed.

We rejoice in the Lord's strength exhibited in creation and we rejoice in His love exhibited in salvation.

974
His glory is great in your salvation: honour and majesty have you laid upon him.
By the Lord's Grace we are crowned with glory, honour and majesty.

975
My praise shall be of you in the great congregation: I will pay my vows before them that fear him.

976
For your name's sake, O Lord, pardon mine iniquity; for it is great.

977
The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoices; and with my song will I praise him.
Our testimony is so powerful strengthening us and drawing others to the Lord.

978
Oh how great is your goodness, which you have laid up for them that fear you; which you have wrought for them that trust in you before the sons of men!

979
For this shall every one that is godly pray unto you in a time when you may be found: surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come near unto him.
Our Lord is always found by earnest asking, seeking and knocking.

980
An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength.
A horse is such a tool.       tools are only useful when in the hands of the experienced.

981
I will give you thanks in the great congregation: I will praise you among much people.
This is such a powerful statement of faith and true worship - willingness and readiness to praise the Lord among all people regardless of their opinions.

982
Your righteousness is like the great mountains; your judgments are a great deep: O Lord, you preserve man and beast.
The Lord is the Spirit that fills the universe and beyond.       He is thick with righteousness, justice, love and mercy.

His Word upholds all of creation of which man is His prize.

983
I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree.
We see this today.       But the pride of Satan that now manifests in his children will soon be crushed.       His power and strength is an illusion.       It will evaporate as the Son of light and Truth arises.

984
I am troubled; I am bowed down greatly; I go mourning all the day long.
Depression sets in when we live in guilt and fear of judgment.

985
I have not hid your righteousness within my heart; I have declared your faithfulness and your salvation: I have not concealed your lovingkindness and your truth from the great congregation.
speaking our testimony to as many as possible as often as possible is our role from the time we are Born Again until we leave this earth.

986
I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: lo, I have not refrained my lips, O Lord, you know.
Jesus did not hold back any of the Truth that His Father gave Him to share.

987
So shall the king greatly desire your beauty: for he is your Lord; and worship you him.
And though we are brothers of the Lord, we worship Him as He is the express image of our Creator and Father.

988
For the Lord most high is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth.
Jesus is no longer the lamb.       He has filled that role to perfection.       He is now Kingof Kings and Lord Of Lords.

989
The princes of the people are gathered together, even the people of the Lord of Abraham: for the shields of the earth belong unto the Lord: he is greatly exalted.
Abraham worshipped pre-incarnate Christ Jesus.       There is not a the Lord of the Old Testament and a the Lord of the New Testament.       There is only one deity and His name is Jesus.

Jesus is the Truth about deity.       The Old Testament understanding and representation of the Lord was deficient and often confused based on human ignorance.

990
Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised in the city of our Lord, in the mountain of his holiness.
We need to praise the Lord for our spiritual, mental and physical health.

In the Millennial Kingdom there be praise and glory and honour for a thousand years.

991
Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King.
jerusalem will ring with the praised of Christ Jesus our King as He sits upon the throne of David.

992
There were they in great fear, where no fear was: for the Lord has scattered the bones of him that encamps against you: you have put them to shame, because the Lord has despised them.
When we don't trust the Lord we feel vulnerable.       But the reality is that He has already vanquished the enemy.

993
For your kindness is great unto the heavens, and your truth unto the clouds.
Our Lord cannot be quantified with superlatives.       He is above all attempts to praise Him adequately.

994
Break their teeth, O Lord, in their mouth: break out the great teeth of the young lions, O Lord.
Jesus Christ broke the teeth out of Satan who is now only able to roar .        He has no authority in the earth which now belongs to our Lord Jesus Christ.

995
He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved.
He is not only our source but has already given us everything for life and godliness In Christ Jesus.

996
You visit the earth, and water it: you greatly enrich it with the river of the Lord, which is full of water: you prepare them corn, when you have so provided for it.

997
Say unto the Lord, How terrible are you in your works!       through the greatness of your power shall your enemies submit themselves unto you.

998
The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it.
Would to the Lord that all His people who have received His Word would publish it as He has commanded us - to every creature everywhere.

999
Your righteousness also, O Lord, is very high, who have done great things: O Lord, who is like unto you!
He is above all and worthy of all praise and glory and honour.

1000
You, which have showed me great and very much troubles, shall quicken me again, and shall bring me up again from the depths of the earth.
The Lord is not responsible for evil.       evil is a result of sin.       Our Lord is healer, saviour and deliverer.

1001
You shall increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side.
Abundant Life is the will of the Lord for us.

1002
My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing unto you; and my soul, which you have redeemed.
The gift of speech is one which should be used to testify of the Lord's greatness in our lives.

1003
In Judah is the Lord known: his name is great in Israel.
judaism was far from the Lord from its inception.       There was a distance between the Lord and the Jews which they did not want to close.       But as is true with all religions, they had a false feeling of being 'right' or being in good standing with the Lord.

The Old Covenant has been supplanted by the New Covenant because the Old Covenant resulted in the people NOT knowing the Lord.       They knew His moral code but they did not know Him in His love.

When Jesus returns all on earth will know Him.

1004
Your way, O Lord, is holiness: who is so great a god as our Lord?
To come into the presence of the Lord we must be holy.

In Christ Jesus we are the righteouness of the Lord.

1005
Your way is in the sea, and your path in the great waters, and your footsteps are not known.
The Lord Jesus is Saviour but He is also Creator.

1006
He clave the rocks in the wilderness, and gave them drink as out of the great depths.
Our Lord provides for us in ways that we cannot anticipate.       He loves us.

1007
When the Lord heard this, he was angry, and greatly abhorred Israel:
It appeared the Lord abhorred but He did not.       He hates sin but He loves people.

Our Lord proved that in dying for the sins of the whole world.

1008
From following the ewes great with young he brought him to feed Jacob his people, and Israel his inheritance.
When we are faithful in the small things the Lord gives us greater authority.

1009
Let the sighing of the prisoner come before you; according to the greatness of your power preserve you those that are appointed to die;
This is regarding political and religious prisoners who are persecuted for their ideology and faith.

1010
You feed them with the bread of tears; and give them tears to drink in great measure.
In the New Covenant we have been given power and authority to deal with circumstances.       A key part of Christianity is understanding and operating in that power and authority.

1011
For you are great, and do wondrous things: you are the Lord alone.
He is above all and in us all who have received Him.       He is the Lord Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth.

1012
For great is your kindness toward me: and you have delivered my soul from the lowest hell.
We have victory in Him who is blessed forevermore.

1013
The Lord is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all them that are about him.
That fact that our Creator
    created us for His pleasure,
suffered and died for our sins
has taken His abode in us
should cause us to be amazed at Him rather than in fear of Him.

1014
O Lord, how great are your works!       and your thoughts are very deep.
We are beneficiaries of our magnificent Heavenly Father.

1015
For the Lord is great, and a great King above all gods.
Christ Jesus is King Of Kings snd Lord Of Lords.

All in heaven and earth bow before Him.

1016
For the Lord is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods.
Unless a person realizes the greatness and praiseworthiness of the Lord, they will not render praise and thanksgiving honour to Him.

1017
The Lord is great in Zion; and he is high above all the people.
It will be glorious to see our Lord on the throne of David.

1018
Let them praise your great and terrible name; for it is holy.
Our Lord is indescribable in His glory.

1019
And after three days and an half life from the Holy Spirit entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.
Two last miracles from the witnesses as a testimony against the antichrist and his followers.       They rise from the dead.

1020
And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up here.       And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.
And the last miracle is that they ascend into heaven.

1021
And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were frightened, and gave glory to the Lord of heaven.
The remnant are likely the Jewish believers - converts from the two witnesses.

1022
And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.
This is in fulfilment of our Lord's instruction for us to pray that the Lord's will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Many Christians push back on dominionism but the fact is that Christ is already king of kings and Lord of lords.       All power in heaven and earth has already been given to Him.
He left us in charge of His property until He returns.       We are His stewards and should already be ruling the nations as the head and not the tail.

1023
Saying, We give you thanks, O Lord Almighty, who is, and was, and is to come; because you have taken to you your great power, and have reigned.
Jesus Christ returns and takes power over earth.

Jesus is Lord the Lord Creator Almighty!

1024
And the nations were angry, and your wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that you should give reward unto your servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear your name, small and great; and should destroy them which destroy the earth.
Satan is a rebel.       So is every man who rejects Christ Jesus as Saviour and Lord.

Accordingly they hate the Lord becauses He thwarts their self-serving plans.

The reality is that man without the Lord is a destroyer of the earth and the people in it.       As a result, the destroyers are themselves destroyed.

1025
And the temple of the Lord was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.
The Spirit Realm (heaven) is not generally visible from the Physical Realm.       This may be just a part of John's vision or it may in fact represent the appearance of heaven to physical eyes.

1026
And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

1027
And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:
This is likely israel with the man-child being the 144000 Jewish converts.

1028
Therefore rejoice, you heavens, and you that dwell in them.       Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea!       for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has but a short time.
Satan has no spiritual power.       His only power is to lie and deceive.

But though he is reduced, his anger and wiles make a formidable front against humanity.

1029
And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.
Those with the Seal Of God will be protected during the Great Tribulation - 3 1/2 years.

1030
And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.
Satan comes against israel who is now turning to Christ Jesus.

1031
And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceives the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
Satan is reduced to fighting his last battle in the Physical Realm through the beast and his ideology.

1032
And he does great wonders, so that he makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
This is a false miracle.       It will be done with technology but it will be effective in deceving the gullible.

1033
And he causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
This will enable digital identification of each person in the system implemented by a microscopic chip implant.

1034
And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
The amalgamation of parts from different animals speaks to the globalist nature of his support.       He is empowered by the nations and people who have come under the influence of the Spirit Of Antichrist.       Once he is seated Satan will sanction and empower him to destroy humanity.

1035
And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.
The beast will be a great orator unencumbered by truth so that he lies and blasphemes with impunity and great effect.       But, he will only be in power for 3 1/2 years.

1036
And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of the Lord.
This is the Day Of Wrath.

1037
And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps:
At the end of the Day Of Wrath there will be great rejoicing on earth and in heaven.

1038
And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.
Who is Babylon?

She is the great power on earth.       She is the power of wealth.       She is the world financial system that has been leveraged to destroy Christianity.

1039
And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of the Lord.
Those plagues will be poured out in one day - the Day Of Wrath

1040
And they sing the song of Moses the servant of the Lord, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are your works, Lord Almighty; just and true are your ways, you King of saints.
This is just the beginning of an eternity of love, joy and peace in the presence of our the Lord.

1041
And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of the Lord upon the earth.
The command is given to reap the tares, bind them and burn them.

1042
And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.
The waters that normally flow dry up.

1043
For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of the Lord Almighty.
Those demons were the inspiration for their evil deeds and intent to thwart the plan of the Lord.

1044
And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done.
Enough.       Resistance against the Lord is futile.

1045
And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.
The earth shakes as Christ Jesus speaks destruction upon the enemy.

1046
And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before the Lord, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.
Not only are the human enemies destroyed but also the institutions that they devised to hurt mankind.

1047
And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed the Lord because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.
destruction rains upon the beast and his followers from all directions.

1048
And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of the Lord, which has power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.
Same thing happened with Pharoah - stubborn hard-heartedness.

1049
And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come here; I will show unto you the judgment of the great whore that sits upon many waters:
Babylon The Harlot is described in this chapter.

1050
And the woman which you saw is that great city, which reigns over the kings of the earth.
'That great city' represents the seat of world power.

The real world power is Commerce.       A harlot sells her body for money.

The love of money is the root of all evil.

Rome was once that city.       London was that city for a while.       New York has recently been that city but that city is transitioning to a new locale: Beijing?

1051
And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
Babylon the great is the Spirit Of Antichrist - and his kingdom - which leads people to reject the Truth of the Lord under the guise of good which deception results in all manner of abominations.

The woman is deceived by the Spirit Of Antichrist and so does Satan's bidding.

1052
And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.
Women produce new humans.       But this woman is a destroyer of life while claiming to produce life.       She is guilty of abortion and destroying believers.

Her powers of deception are so great that even John admires her.

1053
And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory.
This angel heralds the fall of the world system headed by the beast.

1054
Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas that great city Babylon, that mighty city!       for in one hour is your judgment come.
When the stock market crashes all those whose livelihoods depend on it are devastated.       What we see here is a global crash of the unified world financial system.

1055
And saying, Alas, alas, that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls!
We see how they worshipped her.

1056
For in one hour so great riches is come to nought.       And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off,
A global economy is a set up for a global collapse.       Those who are building the global economy are foolish not to see the risk.

1057
And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like unto this great city!
It was truly amazing but now it is dust.

1058
And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas, that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness!       for in one hour is she made desolate.
Again, we see the world worshipping the global economy and world financial system that it empowered.

1059
And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.
Corrupt men corrup everything they touch.       At the time of the end man has corrupted every system.

1060
And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.

1061
And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in you; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in you: for your merchants were the great men of the earth; for by your sorceries were all nations deceived.
Our current administration (Biden) is practicing sorcery by insituting policies that are touted as good while in reality they are self-destructive.

1062
And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto our Lord Jesus Christ:
represent a view of the glory and joy that results from our Lord's return.       The calling to the Marriage Supper is the rapture that occurs as soon as the Lord appears in the sky and the last trump is blasted.

describe the Day Of Wrath that immediately unfolds as soon as the bride is taken up from the earth.

1063
And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great Lord;
The Lord created many of the insects, birds and animals to clean the earth of refuse.       In the aftermath of the Day Of Wrath there is much cleanup to be done.

1064
That you may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.
Total annihilation of the rebellious will occur at His return.

1065
For true and righteous are his judgments: for he has judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and has avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.
Judgment by the Lord brings justice to the injured and punishment to the wicked.       This occurs on the Day Of Wrath also referred to as the Day Of The Lord also referred to as the Return Of Christ.

1066
And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our Lord, all you his servants, and you that fear him, both small and great.
Sometimes we need to be reminded of what is good for us.       There is nothing better for us than to praise the Lord for all His many blessings and His character that produces those blessings.

1067
And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord omnipotent reigns.
The Lord reigns in fact after the end of man's reign here on earth.       And that is something to rejoice about.

1068
I was in the Holy Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,
John was worshipping in the Holy Spirit - possibly praying in tongues when he experienced the revelation.

1069
And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.
The key will turn the lock that binds Satan in the pit.

1070
And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
This is The Judgment, the White Throne Judgment in which all those whose names are not in the Book Of Life will stand.

1071
And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before the Lord; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
Jesus is Lord.       He will judge the quick and the dead.       He holds all authority in heaven and earth.

All those who died having rejected Christ Jesus as Saviour and Lord will stand before Him to be sentenced to the Lake Of Fire.

Here is a sad reality: No one can be saved by works.       Hence all these people are doomed.

1072
And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from the Lord,
She is the body of Christ which is symbolically represented as the New Jerusalem.

1073
And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:
Twelve angels will stand at the gates of the city, the body of Christ.

1074
And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of the Lord is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and the Lord himself shall be with them, and be their Lord.
Is this our future or our present or both?       It is both

Each of us have a body and that body is the temple of the Holy Spirit .
We are bought with the price of Jesus' blood .
We are now Sons Of The Holy Spirit .

But, we have not yet been fully redeemed.       Our Spirit is new, but our soul and body are waiting for redemption which will occur at His appearing.

At Jesus' return we will see the perfect fulfillment of this prophecy.       Our faith will then be sight as we see Him face to face

Until then, walk in newness of life in the Holy Spirit and the Word by faith .

1075
Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.
Those who continue to follow the spirit of Jezebel will be cast into the Great Tribulation.

LGBTQ and transgenderism are aspects of the spirit of Jezebel.

1076
And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;
It is now toward the End Of The Age.       The signs in the sky portend the close of day and the beginning of another.       The Kingdom Of God is about to come in power.

1077
And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
Why do they hide from Christ Jesus?
They have knowing and wilfully rejected Him.
They have knowingly and willingly given themselves over to worship Satan, the first and greatest rebel against the Lord.

1078
For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?
The Day Of Wrath occurs at the return of Jesus.       After He has gathered the dead and living believers into the air with Him, He will speak words of destruction upon those that have worshipped the beast and aligned themselves with Satan.

1079
And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.
Because there will be some nations resisting the globalist Antichrist Kingdom the antichrist will send his minister of war to put down those rebellious nations.

1080
And I said unto him, Sir, you know.       And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
Our robes are white by the blood of the lamb.       Standing true to the testimony of Jesus Christ is all we can do be acceptable.

During the Great Tribulation there will be enormous pressure on believers to deny Christ Jesus.       Some will deny Him to their doom .        Those that remain true to Christ will likely be martyred for their faith .

1081
After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;
So, before the Day Of Wrath we are caught up to be with Him in the air.

Are we in heaven or are we in the air at this point?
To be in the presence of Christ who sits on the throne is to be in heaven.

1082
And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters;

1083
And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood;

1084
Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates.
Satan speaks to the angel who has bound his four rebellious angels commanding they be released.

The garden of Eden was in the Tigris Euphrates valley.       It is likely these four ranking followers of Lucifer have been bound there for 6000 years only to be released upon the very men whom their master has deceived.

The release of these demons comes by man's authority as he resists the Lord and gives worship to Satan.

1085
And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.

1086
But now having no more place in these parts, and having a great desire these many years to come unto you;
Wow, Paul had gone to every town!

1087
That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart.
Paul's burden for israel is heavy.

1088
As the apple tree among the trees of the wood, so is my beloved among the sons.       I sat down under his shadow with great delight, and his fruit was sweet to my taste.

1089
Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the Lord Almighty even our Saviour Jesus Christ;
When Jesus returns He will complete redemption by translating our soul and body (which are currently corrupted and corruptible) into incorruptible .

When will this happen?
At the End Of The Age of Grace Through Faith and the Great Tribulation.

At His return Jesus will
    translate us
    destroy every Child Of Satan
    establish the Millennial Kingdom .

It is interesting that this verse in KJV says 'the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ' will appear.
Does that mean we will see two beings?
Why doesn't use the phrase 'and every eye will see THEM'?

Answer: Jesus is our great God.
The correct translation is found in the Jesus Bible Version as shown here.

1090
In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon.

1091
And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great tumult from the Lord shall be among them; and they shall lay hold every one on the hand of his neighbour, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbour.
There willbe worldwide chaos as the children of Satan are terrified at the appearing of the Lord.

1092
And Judah also shall fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the heathen round about shall be gathered together, gold, and silver, and apparel, in great abundance.
The focus and hotspot of the battle between the forces of Satan and our Lord will be Jerusalem.

1093
And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.
On the day that Jesus returns:
the dead in Christ are raised and translated
the living in Christ are translated
both are caught up into the air with Jesus
the Day Of Wrath is unleashed upon the earth
at the end of that day, Jesus sets foot on the Mount of Olives
    the Millennial Kingdom is established.

1094
So the angel that communed with me said unto me, Cry you, saying, Thus says the Lord of hosts; I am jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with a great jealousy.

1095
Who are you, O great mountain?       before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it.

1096
Yes, they made their hearts as an adamant stone, lest they should hear the law, and the words which the Lord of hosts has sent in his spirit by the former prophets: therefore came a great wrath from the Lord of hosts.

1097
Thus says the Lord of hosts; I was jealous for Zion with great jealousy, and I was jealous for her with great fury.

1098
For how great is his goodness, and how great is his beauty!       corn shall make the young men cheerful, and new wine the maids.

1099
Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, your King comes unto you: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.

1100
And it shall come to pass in that day, says the Lord, that there shall be the noise of a cry from the fish gate, and an howling from the second, and a great crashing from the hills.

1101
The great day of the Lord is near, it is near, and hastens greatly, even the voice of the day of the Lord: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly.
