Now when Jesus saw great multitudes about him, he gave commandment to depart unto the other side.    - Mat 8:18 The Physical demand on Christ caused Him to steal away at times for refreshing.

But he answered and said unto them, Why do you also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition ?    - Mat 15:3 Jesus pushes back on them with an accusation of His own.

And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free .     Thus have you made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition .    - Mat 15:6 Such twisting and watering down of the Law had taken away the intended effect of the Law, which was to convince people of their need for a Saviour .

But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.    - Mat 15:9 Whenever we substitute being In Christ with Legalism we Worship God in vain .

And he said unto him, Why call you me good ?     there is none good but one, that is, God: but if you will enter into life, keep the commandments .    - Mat 19:17 Jesus' question was to see if the man recognized Him as God in the Flesh .

Master, which is the great commandment in the law ?    - Mat 22:36 The Pharisees were still seething because of the Worship Jesus received from the multitude when He entered Jerusalem .

This is the first and great commandment .    - Mat 22:38

On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets .    - Mat 22:40 God is Love and wants us to abide in His Love .      Obedience, Service, Sacrifice, Righteousness, and Holiness are all fruits of Love .

Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.    - Mar 7:7 Vain Worship is any Worship that is not in the Holy Spirit and the Word Of Truth .

And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength: this is the first commandment .    - Mar 12:30 Worship of the One God is the first Commandment .

And the second is like, namely this, You shall love your neighbour as yourself.     There is none other commandment greater than these.    - Mar 12:31 This is not the second Commandment but it is second in importance.

And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.    - Luk 1:6

And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve you, neither transgressed I at any time your commandment: and yet you never gave me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends: - Luk 15:29 Whining, complaing and resenting.     How ugly and Un Godly .

A new commandment I give unto you, That you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.    - Joh 13:34 This Commandment, as in all Commandments prior to the Death and Resurrection of Jesus was for the purpose of clarifying our inadequacy and need for a Saviour and Baptizer with the Holy Spirit .      Jesus spoke this to His Disciples and we later see them bickering about which of them was greatest and deserving of the highest seat of Honour .      The Love Of God is a Fruit of the Holy Spirit which pushes self to the background and the Love Of God to the foreground.      Unless you are baptised with the Holy Spirit you cannot keep this Commandment because Human Love Fails .      Love is of God - 1Jn 4:7 God is Love - 1Jn 4:16

If you love me, keep my commandments .    - Joh 14:15 Jesus wants us to be like Him.     That is what He means by keeping His Commandments .      " Speak what I Speak .      Do what I Do." In so doing we demonstrate our commitment to Christ and thereby our Love for Him.

He that has my commandments, and keeps them, he it is that loves me: and he that loves me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.    - Joh 14:21 Obedience to the Word is evidence of having a Love Of The Truth which invokes God's Love for us.     Such hungering and thirsting after Righteousness is rewarded with the Manifestation of Christ in and through us.

But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do .     Arise, let us go hence.    - Joh 14:31 Jesus' Obedience to the Father is proof of His Love for Him and us.

If you keep my commandments, you shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love .    - Joh 15:10 Jesus Commandments are all about Love .     When we seek to Love as our Lord loved (which we can only do by the Holy Spirit in us) we experience more and more of the Love Of God .

This is my commandment, That you love one another, as I have loved you.    - Joh 15:12 This Commandment cannot be obeyed without being Spirit Filled .

Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Spirit had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen: - Act 1:2 Jesus gave specific instructions to the Disciples before Ascending.     The most important one was for them to stay in Jerusalem until they were Baptised with the Holy Spirit .     This Baptism would give them Power to become Witnesses of Christ throughout the World .

Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, You must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment: - Act 15:24

And they that conducted Paul brought him unto Athens: and receiving a commandment unto Silas and Timothy for to come to him with all speed, they departed.    - Act 17:15

And when it was told me how that the Jews laid wait for the man, I sent straightway to you, and gave commandment to his accusers also to say before you what they had against him.     Farewell.    - Act 23:30

And on the morrow, when Agrippa was come, and Bernice, with great pomp, and was entered into the place of hearing, with the chief captains, and principal men of the city, at Festus' commandment Paul was brought forth.    - Act 25:23

Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men?    - Col 2:22 Legalism is a dead end and adherers Perish in it.

Aristarchus my fellowprisoner salutes you, and Marcus, sister's son to Barnabas, (touching whom you received commandments: if he come unto you, receive him;) - Col 4:10

For you know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus .    - 1Th 4:2 Give people credit and expect the best out of them.

And he that keeps his commandments dwells in him, and he in him.     And hereby we know that he abides in us, by the Spirit which he has given us.    - 1Jn 3:24 When we are In Christ, the He keeps His Commandments through us.     It is the Holy Spirit who lives through us,

And this commandment have we from him, That he who loves God love his brother also.    - 1Jn 4:21 Love is the basis for Unity which enables Fellowship in the Holy Spirit .

By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments .    - 1Jn 5:2 It is impossible to Love others if you don't have the Love of God in you by virtue of the indwelling Holy Spirit .

For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.    - 1Jn 5:3 John is still hung up on Performance and Legalism .     He has not yet received the Revelation of Grace Through Faith that Paul preached.     However, we do Obey our Lord because the Holy Spirit in us gives us the desire to do His Will .

I rejoiced greatly that I found of your children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father .    - 2Jn 1:4 You cannot Walk in the Truth unless you are In Christ which is to be in the Truth .

And now I beseech you, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto you, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.    - 2Jn 1:5 God is Love .     The Holy Spirit who is God manifests the Fruit of Love through us.

And this is love, that we walk after his commandments .     This is the commandment, That, as you have heard from the beginning, you should walk in it.    - 2Jn 1:6 When we are In Christ we supernaturally keep His Commandments by the Power of the Holy Spirit in us.

And the dragon was angry with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ .    - Rev 12:17 So we see that the woman is spiritual Israel - those who are children of Abraham by Faith in Christ Jesus .      Satan pours out his wrath against the church with the intent of destroying her.

Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus .    - Rev 14:12 We must keep the faith of Jesus patiently with the knowledge that Satan is defeated and we will see his destruction with our own eyes .

Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.    - Rev 22:14 The Holy Spirit (the Tree Of Life) is given to us to enable us to do Christ's commandments .
