About His Return

Watch therefore: for you know not what hour your Lord does come. Mat 24:42 We watch for the signs He gave us so that we can know that His appearing is near.     We cannot know the hour but we can know the season.

But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Mat 24:43 The thief is the enemy (not Christ).     We need to be vigilant so that we see the enemy coming and can thwart his efforts to deceive us.

Therefore be you also ready: for in such an hour as you think not the Son Of Man comes. Mat 24:44 Christ will come when there is a false sense of security (peace) on the earth.

Let not your heart be troubled: you believe in the Father, believe also in me. Joh 14:1 To believe in Jesus is to believe in the Creator correctly.     To deny Jesus as Creator is to incorrectly believe in the Creator.      To believe there is a God other than Jesus is to deny Jesus as Mighty God and Everlasting Father.      Please speak and pray in the name of Jesus as He has all power in heaven and earth Mat 28:18 as saviour Phi 3:20 healer 1Pe 2:24 lord and king Rev 17:14.      Our Lord Jesus Christ does not want us to be troubled about anything.     Worry, fear and stress are aspects of being troubled.     Jesus often told the disciples to fear not, pronouncing good cheer, peace and joy upon them.      This aspect of His message helped to reveal the Truth about the mysterious Creator God.      The disciples (and most people) believe in the Creator.     Their understanding of Him came from the Old Testament wherein the Lord was presented as stern and difficult to approach.     Here Jesus tells the disciples to believe in His representation of the Creator.      Those who believe in a representation or idea about the Creator but not Christ Jesus miss the mark.     They have not seen the light and Truth about our Creator and so miss out on salvation which includes Eternal Life and Abundant Life.      The Holy Spirit of Christ Jesus is the Creator by the Word of Christ Jesus and He comes into the lives of those who receive Christ Jesus as His express image - the only correct representation and characterization of the Holy Spirit.      Jesus is the proof of our Holy Spirit Father, and He is the door into His love and Grace.

In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you.     I go to prepare a place for you. Joh 14:2 What is the Father's house?      It is the Spirit Realm or Heaven as it is referred to often.     Our Creator is a Spirit, the Holy Spirit, and so He exists in the Spirit Realm.     The Holy Spirit created all things by Christ Jesus.      Jesus is going away twice and returning twice: 1) to the grave and resurrection from the grave 2) to heaven and from Heaven In going to the grave Jesus prepared a place for us in the Father's house.     He made it possible for us to be redeemed, regenerated and Spirit Filled.      In going to heaven Jesus became our advocate and Intercessor before the Father.      In returning from the grave Jesus proved that He had power over death.      In returning from heaven He will establish the Kingdom Of God on earth with us to rule and reign with Him.

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there you may be also. Joh 14:3 Jesus is prophesying five things: 1) His death 2) His resurrection 3) His ascension 4) His Holy Spirit infilling 5) His return In His death He made a place for us through forgiveness of sins.     In His resurrection He came again to the disciples showing Himself alive.      In His ascension He took His position at the right hand of power.      In sending the promise of His Holy Spirit, He abides in us who have received Him.      In His return He will receive us physically unto Himself.      Jesus is returning soon!      When He does, the dead will rise, we will be caught up together, transformed from corruptible to incorruptible and so forever be with the Lord!

Repent you therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; Act 3:19 When a person hears the Truth and believes the Truth, they are to receive the Truth.     receiving the Truth requires repentance.     When a person repents they will be refreshed by being sanctified and filled with the Holy Spirit who is the presence of the Lord.

And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: Act 3:20 Peter is speaking of the return of Jesus Christ.     He has no idea that it will be at least 2000 years later before the Lord returns.

Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which the Lord has spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began. Act 3:21 The restitution of all things requires the eradication of Satan, his demons and his human children.     This will occur on the Day Of Wrath.

For we know that the whole creation groans and travails in pain together until now. Rom 8:22 The earth was corrupted by sin and will not be fully redeemed until death and hell are cast into the Lake Of Fire.     Even nature is responding to the evil that is in the earth.

And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Holy Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to know, the redemption of our body. Rom 8:23 Our spirit selves are held back by the corruption in our body and soul.

So that you come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ: 1Co 1:7 We are to excel in the Spirit Gifts even as we look for the Jesus' return.      Spiritual gifts must be exercised just like our physical talents are in order for us to explore their potential.

Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that you may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1Co 1:8 I am confirmed by Christ Jesus Himself.      I stand in His finished work and His Word.      I am blameless before Him because He has taken on all my sins.      I will see Him who loved me and I will be changed.

Who are kept by the power of the Holy Spirit through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. 1Pe 1:5 We have been sealed by the Holy Spirit Eph 1:13 forever and will one day be fully redeemed in soul and body just as our Spirit has already been made new and perfect 1Co 15:53.      Furthermore we are Christ's workmanship Eph 2:10 and He will complete that which He has started in us Phi 1:6.      In Keeping us by His power, He is our provider, protector and preserver.      When He returns we will be like Him for we will see Him as He is 1Jn 3:2.

Wherein you greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, you are in heaviness through manifold temptations: 1Pe 1:6 It is an unfortunate fact that we allow the cares of this world - not just lust but all the issues of Physical Life - to distract us from the reality of our New Life In Christ where we sit with Him in Heavenly Places.

That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perishes, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: 1Pe 1:7 The Lord loves to see us operate in faith as He does.     The purer the faith the closer to the Lord we come Heb 11:6.      Our Faith is what we believe about the Lord's Word and His nature.      Jesus, being God in the flesh, came to reveal the Truth about Himself, His nature, His love and His intent for mankind.      The Trial of our faith is the attack of the enemy to get us to doubt our Lord Jesus' identity, His Word and His goodness Gen 3:4,5.      When we stand fast in His identity, His Word and His goodness, our faith enables us to appropriate all the blessings of Grace Joh 15:7.      In that sense we have something more precious than gold.      Jesus said that we are His disciples indeed if we abide in Him (His Holy Spirit) and do His Word Joh 8:31.      Unfortunately, Many Christians doubt the Word Of The Lord or impune the Lord's character by not believing the Truth in their heart.      They fail in the trial and so are unable to appropriate the blessings of Grace Through Faith.      When Jesus returns He will be looking for faith Luk 18:8.      Those in faith will be glorified by Him and with Him Rev 20:6.

Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; 1Pe 1:13 We must be strong-minded in our commitment to the Word Of The Lord in order to receive the benefits of Grace and keep the enemy subdued.      While we contend for the faith and the furtherance of the Kingdom Of Christ in this age, we will do so imperfectly but honorably.      Our Hope In Christ is for the redemption of our body and the perfection of our soul.     This will occur at the return of Jesus.      At such time we will be perfected and we will have the perfect Creator, Saviour, Lord and King ruling on this earth.

Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in all holy conversation and godliness, 2Pe 3:11 We ought to be preaching and teaching and testifying the Gospel of Grace Through Faith so that as many as will receive Him can come into Eternal Life and so escape the Lake Of Fire.

Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of the Lord, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? 2Pe 3:12 There will be a new heaven and a new earth after the White Throne Judgment.

Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwells righteousness. 2Pe 3:13 In that new creation everything will be perfect.

When He Will Return

And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. Mat 24:14 The good news of the Kingdom Of God will be preached throughout the world before the end comes.

But of that day and hour knows no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. Mat 24:36 The return of Christ is dependent on how the church affects the world for Christ.     The Father is watching and will respond to what the church allows to happen in the earth by sending Christ Jesus back.

Therefore be you also ready: for in such an hour as you think not the Son Of Man comes. Mat 24:44 Christ will come when there is a false sense of security (peace) on the earth.

And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. Luk 21:34 Don't be drunk on carnal things but be alert in the Holy Spirit.

For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. Luk 21:35 Most of the earth will be caught unawares.

Watch you therefore, and pray always, that you may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son Of Man. Luk 21:36 Leading up to this statement Jesus has been speaking about two cataclysmic events that are to take place.      The first is the destruction of jerusalem.      The second is the Great Tribulation which concludes with the Day Of Wrath.      The escape for the Jews is to run away from the destruction of jerusalem Mat 24:20.      Our escape from the Great Tribulation is by being sealed with the Holy Spirit Rev 7:3 Rev 9:4.      The Watching is a reference to walking by faith and not by sight and so having discernment of the times Mat 24:32 Mat 16:3.      The praying is in reference to praying without ceasing in personal relationship with the Lord 1Th 5:17 Col 4:2.      Both the watching and the praying are characteristics of a person who is In Christ and therefore Spiritual Minded.      Those who are not In Christ are Carnal Minded.      Such will be taken by surprise by the events leading up to the Great Tribulation and the return of Christ.      To be worthy of Christ is to esteem Him for who He is and what He has accomplished.      To be unworthy of Christ is to trample on the blood of Jesus as some base thing.     - Heb 10:29 Those who are In Christ will be able to stand and rejoice before Him at His return in translated bodies.     - Rev 7:9,10 Those who are not In Christ will collapse and wail at His appearing.     - Rev 6:15,16 How are we 'accounted' by the Lord?      We are accounted by Grace Through Faith - Act 16:31 Eph 2:8

Because he has appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he has ordained; whereof he has given assurance unto all men, in that he has raised him from the dead. Act 17:31 The Judgment will be conducted by Christ Jesus,the express image of His Holy Spirit.

For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. 1Th 5:2 The return will be unexpected.     There will be a false sense of peace in the earth.

How He Will Return

For as the lightning comes out of the east, and shines even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son Of Man be. Mat 24:27 physical lightening is visible for miles.     The brightness of His coming will illuminate the whole earth instantly.

And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Act 1:10 Two angels appeared to give encouragement.

Which also said, You men of Galilee, why stand you gazing up into heaven?     this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as you have seen him go into heaven. Act 1:11 Jesus will return!     That is the grreat encouragement that the angels gave the disciples.

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of the Lord: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 1Th 4:16 The trumpet will herald the appearance of Jesus in the air and the dead and alive In Christ will be caught up to Him..

Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 1Th 4:17 We meet the Lord while He is in the air above the earth and we will never be separated from Him.

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 2Pe 3:10 It will happen suddenly with everyone seeing Him and that which is impure will be consumed with the Word of His mouth.

Behold, he comes with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him.     Even so, Amen. Rev 1:7 Jesus will not return secretely.     When He returns the whole world will know it.     Those who have rejected Him and aligned themselves with Satan will wail because their deception vanishes in a moment.      The sheep (wheat) and goats (tares) will be separated Mat 25:32.      Those who wail at His appearing are goats (tares).      The goats (tares) are those people who heard the testimony of Jesus Christ and who knowingly and wilfully rejected Jesus Christ.     They will be bound in bundles and burned to death physically Mat 13:30, where they will await the resurrection of the unjust and the the White Throne Judgment.     - Rev 20:11-15 The sheep (wheat) will be divided between believers and unbelievers (those who have not yet heard the Gospel).      Those who are dead in Christ will rise first and then we which are alive and remain will be caught up in the air, translated from corruptible to incorruptible 1Th 4:16.      We will descend with our Lord to earth when He sets foot on the Mount of Olives.     - Zec 14:4 The Millennial Kingdom will be established and we will rule and teign with Him.     - Rev 20:6 Those unbelievers who have not heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ will continue to live on earth in physical corruptible bodies during the Millennial Kingdom.     They will see Christ Jesus on His throne and have opportunity to become believers.     - Zec 14:16 Zec 12:10.

Why He Will Return

For the Son Of Man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. Mat 16:27 There is Eternal Life and abundantlife in Christ

When the Son Of Man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: Mat 25:31 Jesus will sit on the throne of David in the Millennial Kingdom.

And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats: Mat 25:32 Jesus will separate the people of all nations.     Those people who have received the Gospel on the right hand and those who have rejected the Gospel the left hand.

And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. Mat 25:33 believers on the right.     unbelievers on the left.

Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, you blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: Mat 25:34 The redeemed of the Lord will enter the Millennial Kingdom.

Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, Joh 5:28 Jesus will speak at His return to believers in the grave and they will arise.     At the end of the Millennial Kingdom He will speak to the unbelievers and they will arise to stand before Him in the White Throne Judgment.

And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation. Joh 5:29 There are two resurrections ahead:    → Resurrection of the just at the appearing of our Lord in the sky    → Resurrection of the damned at the end of the Millennial Kingdom What is the good that we can do?      Receive Christ Jesus as Creator, Lord and Savior.      What is the evil that men do?      They reject the Jesus as Creator, Lord and Saviour.

And this is the Father's will which has sent me, that of all which he has given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. Joh 6:39 We are Christ's workmanship: Eph 2:10

And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which sees the Son, and believes on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day. Joh 6:40 Awesome statement of the love and the will of the Lord for every human being!      This is the Gospel Truth.      Have you Seen the Son?      We see Christ Jesus through eyes of faith in the Word of the Lord and its power to save us.      Note that the Holy Spirit is Everlasting Life.

When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall you also appear with him in glory. Col 3:4 This prophetic verse has two fulfillments.      The obvious one has to do with our translation at His return.     1Co 15:52 The not-so-obvious fulfillment has to do with the renewing of our minds so that we have the Mind Of Christ and so do His works.     Rom 12:2 Virtually every Christian is looking to the return of Christ and the completion of redemption.     Rom 8:23 However because of ignorance of, or unbelief in, our potential In Christ, most Christians do not manifest as New Spirit beings today.     We simply are not like our Lord.     1Jn 4:17 Regardless of the extent of our knowledge and faith in who we are In Christ, when Christ returns that New Spirit being will manifest through a translated soul and body.     1Co 15:53    → Study the Word to be approved of the Lord.     2Ti 2:15    → Pray in the spirit to build up your faith.     Jud 1:20    → Speak the Word and do the Word.     Joh 15:7 Jam 1:22 When you do, Christ will appear in and through you today manifesting His glory by His Holy Spirit.     2Co 3:18

Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. 2Ti 4:8 This is our assurance as it was of Paul.     Christ our Lord is looking forward to rewarding us for our faith in Him and our work in His vinyard.

So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. Heb 9:28 We look for Him in coming to Him and being In Christ.      When Jesus appears in the sky He will complete our salvation.      We will be finally and totally redeemed in soul and body with all corruption turned into incorruption and all mortality turned into immortality.     1Co 15:51-55 Rom 8:23

And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, you shall receive a crown of glory that fades not away. 1Pe 5:4 We serve Him because we love Him.     Our reward is Jesus.

And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of his saints, Jud 1:14 Jesus will return with the holy angels to gather His saints from the earth after which He will set foot on the Mount of Olives.

To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him. Jud 1:15 The Day Of Wrath will be followed by judgment as Christ and those who rule and reign with Him administer the Millennial Kingdom.

And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. Rev 20:11 This is The Judgment, the White Throne Judgment in which all those whose names are not in the Book Of Life will stand.

And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before the Lord; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. Rev 20:12 Jesus is Lord.     He will judge the quick and the dead.     He holds all authority in heaven and earth.      All those who died having rejected Christ Jesus as Saviour and Lord will stand before Him to be sentenced to the Lake Of Fire.      Here is a sad reality: No one can be saved by works.     Hence all these people are doomed.

And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. Rev 20:13 Every man will be held accountable.

And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire.     This is the second death. Rev 20:14 Jesus destroys death and hell in the Lake Of Fire.

And whoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. Rev 20:15 Everyone who rejects Christ Jesus will be cast into the Lake Of Fire.      Rejecting Christ Jesus is the Unpardonable Sin.

And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. Rev 22:12 When Jesus returns we will stand before the Judgment Seat Of Christ to receive rewards for our service to the kingdom.
