Polls and elections are conducted to elicit opinions from the people.   The privacy of the people is a primary concern of pollsters and election officials.   

As useful as polls and elections are they do not force people to Go On Record.   

In elections we see people endorsing a candidate.   Those who endorse a candidate or state their position on an issue Go On Record regarding that candidate or issue.   

Those who Go On Record make themselves targets for attack by those who oppose their position.   

Only the courageous Go On Record.   

The fearful protect their anonymity and, in so doing, set themselves up to be hypocrites - vote one way and talk another.   

The most important issue for a person to Go On Record about is the Lord Jesus Christ.   

As I look into the background of celebrities I search for evidence of their Christianity.   I am not concerned so much with how they lived but what they confessed about Christ Jesus.   

A true Christian must confess Jesus Christ - not just to a priest or pastor but to the public at large.   He must Go On Record as a believer
   → in the deity of Christ Jesus
   → that Jesus is the only way to be saved
   → that Jesus rose from dead and
   → that Jesus is coming back to rule and reign.   

Whoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father who is in heaven. Mat 10:32 Our confession of Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord is critical for the New Birth.

But whoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father who is in heaven. Mat 10:33 Jesus is saying that to willfully and verbally deny Him before men is the Unpardonable Sin.     Why is believing on Jesus and confessing Him before men so important?      Because Jesus is 'God'.     No one can be accepted by 'God' who has rejected Him.      He states that a person's words against Him requires Him to speak against them to the Father.      What does that mean?      It means that His Holy Spirit will not dispense Grace to the denier and leave them to inevitable destruction.      If Jesus is not a person's advocate before His Holy Spirit they are condemned to the Lake Of Fire Mat 12:32.      Faithfulness is a characteristic of the Lord.     If faithfulness is not a part of a person's character they will deny Him eventually.     A person's denial of Him will require His denial of them.

We must Go On Record about the Lord Jesus Christ in order to be saved.   

Those who endure unto the end are saved.   

What do they have to endure?   
Persecution for their public stand for Christ Jesus.   

If the world hate you, you know that it hated me before it hated you. Joh 15:18 Those outside of Christ are the world.      The Carnal Minded people who reject Christ will hate followers of Christ.

Blessed are you, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Mat 5:11 There is actually extra blessings that come to us when we are persecuted for Christ's sake.     We ought to be prepared for lies to be concocted against us.

Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord.     If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also. Joh 15:20 Christians should go into the world expecting resistance.     To not do so is simply foolish setting the naive believer up to be offended and unfruitful.

Persecution only.comes to those who Go On Record for the Lord Jesus Christ.   

Those who deny Him outright or by being quiet about Him escape persecution but, in so doing, they set themselves up to be denied by Christ Jesus.   

Go On Record for Christ Jesus and prove your faith in Him.   

If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us: 2Ti 2:12 We bear His reproach so we can reign with Him.
