Title: Why is Faith so difficult?

Jesus said unto him, If you can believe, all things are possible to him that believes.
In this statement Jesus lays out the revolutionary Law Of Faith revealing how He has enabled us to access all Spiritual Blessings He has provided for us in Heavenly Places.

How does He enable us?     By His Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit gives us supernatural faith that enables us to believe, and so to receive.

Therefore I say unto you, What things soever you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them.
A desire is the object of hope.     Desiring and Hoping are activities of the imagination.

Faith is the state of our heart regarding that which we desire.

Jesus is telling us to visualize a desire, ask for it and immediately receive it in faith.

The act of desiring, hoping, asking, believing and receiving by faith is a seed that is planted.     The manifestation of that which is desired is the harvest.

The Spiritual Law of Seed Time And Harvest is foundational to all that the Lord has created.

1) We sow
2) the Lord produces
3) We harvest.

Jesus answered and said unto them, Truly I say unto you, If you have faith, and doubt not, you shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if you shall say unto this mountain, Be you removed, and be you cast into the sea; it shall be done.
Jesus is speaking an 'unbelievable' Truth.     He is telling us that the Lord has made faith available for us to do anything.

And Jesus answering says unto them, Have Holy Spirit Faith.
The disciples were amazed at the withered fig tree and wanted to know how Jesus did this to the tree.

Jesus answers them very succinctly by telling them to believe with Holy Spirit faith.

Jesus did not come to show off and then leave us in awe.     He came to:
    clean us up
    teach us
    empower us
    to be like Him.

Jesus is telling us to operate in the supernatural faith of His Holy Spirit.

Note: The word 'in' is not in the original Greek phrase which the KJV translates as 'Have faith in God'.     It should have read 'Have God faith' or 'Have the faith of God' rather than 'faith in God'.

Since we know that God is Spirit (making Him the Holy Spirit of Christ Jesus), this phrase should best be rendered as 'Have Holy Spirit faith'.

Remember, Faith is one of the Spirit Fruit.

Unfortunately, this is another example of how the 'God being' was given an existence separate from the Word and Holy Spirit as a result of the translators' trinitarian concept of the Creator.

Jesus goes on in this passage to tell His disciples to just speak (word) and believe ( Holy Spirit faith) and their desires would be met.     There is no indication that some other being is involved in the process.

Even, the 'when you pray' statement of is misunderstood to reference a 'God being' when Jesus instructed us to pray to our Heavenly Father who is His Holy Spirit.

And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; your sins be forgiven you.
forgiveness of sins was not yet possible but Jesus was committed to making it possible and spoke these words in faith.

Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.
Since they asked for healing and they said yes about believing He could heal them, He simply touched their eyes.

It was their own faith that healed them.

When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, your sins be forgiven you.
Jesus ( Holy Spirit) responded to faith then and He responds to faith now.

And Jesus said unto him, Go your way; your faith has made you whole.     And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.
His demonstrated faith by throwing off his old identity enabled Jesus to speak healing over him.     Bartimaeus's new identity was as a follower of Jesus.

And he said to the woman, Your faith has saved you; go in peace.

So, we see that Jesus was a great promoter of faith - not just for Himself and His disciples but for all people.
And his name through faith in his name has made this man strong, whom you see and know: yes, the faith which is by him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.
faith in the Name Of Jesus brought about this miracle.

And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people.

And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother's womb, who never had walked:

The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed,

Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
justification by faith alone.     Nothing is needed.     Nothing is is wanted.     Nothing else is accepted.

For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.
The promise was before the Law was given and is eternal because it was based on faith.     Whereas the Mosaic covenant was based on performance and was not eternal.     In Christ Jesus the Mosaic Covenant was consumated and replaced by the New Covenant of righteousness by Grace Through Faith In Christ Jesus.

By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of His Holy Spirit.
Through faith in Christ Jesus we have access to the unmerited favor of the Lord and, for that reason, our future is bright with the expectation of glory.

Come boldly to the throne of Grace.     -

Expect the Lord's glory to manifest in you and through you today.     -

Heaven is the Spirit Realm.     You are already in the Spirit Realm, in heaven, in your New Spirit being .

Walk in him (the new you) who is In Christ and manifest His power to the healing and delivering of those you encounter.

So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of the Lord.
We are only able to obtain the Faith Of Christ by hearing, believing and receiving His Words.     When we do, He makes us free in the New Birth and gives us His Holy Spirit who takes the Word we know and adds power to it enabling us to do the works that Christ did.

We are totally dependent on reaching people through the Word Of The Lord.     It is the Truth.     It is revelation, It is salvation, It is victory, It is peace, It is love.     It is joy in the Holy Spirit.

For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of the Holy Spirit:
We are saved because the Holy Spirit willed it and made it possible and legal through the shed blood of Jesus Christ .      salvation is totally an act of His unmerited favor - Grace.     Our part is to have faith in His Word - the Written Word and the Incarnate Word .

We have all been given The Measure Of Faith .      It is that gift of faith than enables us to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ through whom we receive Grace .

Once we believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, the Faith Of Christ which is a fruit of His Holy Spirit provides all the benefits of Grace .

The Faith Of Christ is the foundation of Grace .      We are not supposed to trust in our faith but, rather, trust in the Faith Of Christ - the faith that is the fruit of the Holy Spirit .

There are many other scriptures that speak to the importance of faith as a follower of Christ Jesus.

So why is having faith so difficult?

Ignorance of the Word

Not believing the Word

Rational mind

Counter evidence

Momentum of unbelief

Misunderstanding the Lord

Misunderstanding Grace

Peer pressure

So, how do we overcome these obstacles to faith?
So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of the Lord.
We are only able to obtain the Faith Of Christ by hearing, believing and receiving His Words.     When we do, He makes us free in the New Birth and gives us His Holy Spirit who takes the Word we know and adds power to it enabling us to do the works that Christ did.

We are totally dependent on reaching people through the Word Of The Lord.     It is the Truth.     It is revelation, It is salvation, It is victory, It is peace, It is love.     It is joy in the Holy Spirit.

If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, you shall ask what you will, and it shall be done unto you.
To abide in Jesus is:
to be Baptized In The Name Of Jesus Christ
to be filled with His Holy Spirit.
to have the Mind Of Christ.

When you are in the Holy Spirit, in the Word and have the Mind Of Christ, you know that He has provided all things for life and godliness, so that when you ask, you receive .

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that comes to the Lord must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Believe that
    Jesus is Mighty God
    Jesus is loving and giving
Jesus will reveal Himself to those who seek Him
Jesus Himself is your exceeding great reward

Faith is the power to appropriate what Grace has provided.     It pleases the Lord Jesus for us to receive what He has made available to us.

The life of faith is simple but it is demanding.   It requires that our minds be conformed to the Mind Of Christ.
I tell you that he will avenge them speedily.     Nevertheless when the Son Of Man comes, shall he find faith on the earth?
The faith that Jesus will be looking for at His return is not just faith in His person, but faith in His Word.

The power of the Lord is released by faith in His Word.

Jesus commanded His disciples to stay in jerusalem until they received His power - the Holy Spirit.     But the Holy Spirit only works to the extent that we allow the Word Of The Lord to transform our minds.

Jesus made it clear that only those who lived in His Word were truly His disciples .

God loves His weak and impotent children in the same fashion parents love their disabled child.
But just as those parents would wish for their child to be able to pursue life and be successful, so does our heavenly Father.

A powerful life is a Spirit Filled life of pure Heart Faith in the Word Of The Lord.

Now are we the Sons Of The Holy Spirit .
