Who is your guru?
Whose ideas do you subscribe to?
Intelligence, Education and credentials do not mean much. How so?
Psalm 14:1
The Fool hath said in his Heart , There is no God . They are Corrupt , they have done abominable Works, there is none that doeth Good .
This verse says that any person who denies God's existence is a Fool regardless of their other qualifications.
That is a profound statement.
Any person who is not deferential to God really doesn't Believe He exists. How so?
That person ignores the implications of there being a God :
1) He is Sovereign
2) He defines Good and Evil
3) He has a purpose in Creation
4) He holds His Creation Accountable
Are the people that you support with your vote, your finances, your attention, your trust deferential to God ?
If not, you are allowing Fools to lead you, to inform you and to protect you.
Jesus had a stern warning for us about Fools (who are blind to God ):
Matthew 15:14
Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.
Yes, Jesus was talking about blind Religious leaders. But how much more blind are those who are not even deferential to God ?
The day is coming when each of us will be forced to either confess Jesus Christ as Lord or deny Him.
In the meantime we need to take up the stewardship role He has entrusted to us.
The wealth and prosperity, the strength, the resources, the hope and potential of America were given to Christians . Not for us to just enjoy as spoiled children but to provide the means for us to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ . Freely we have received, freely we should be giving.
Giving what? The Truth , the Light , the Joy , the Love , the Life of Jesus Christ . That is what has made us a great nation.
How do we give that? With our mouths. We overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the Word Of Our Testimony . Where is the Word of your Testimony ? Where is the real proof that you are a Christian ?
Stop supporting Fools . Stop following them. Stop listening to them. Stop trusting them.
If there is still any Doubt in your mind about your guru/idol you should make it a point to find out whether or not they Believe in Christ Jesus . If not, they are Fools .
