God has always been the God of Grace even through the previous dispensations of Law and Judgment .

For by your words you shall be justified, and by your words you shall be condemned . - Mat 12:37

I am Justified by my Testimony of Jesus Christ . Those who Deny Jesus will be Condemned by their words against Him. Again, God is not petty or silly. He does not concern Himself with the mundane conversations of men.

Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, - Mat 27:3
