No matter how much we don't like it, economic laws will play out.
Imagine having a car that had to go into the shop for repair every week. Could you afford that? Would you put up with that? The answer is obviously no to both questions.
What we have with pre-existing/chronic conditions is economically the same problem. The only difference is that now we have a human being that can't just be abandoned like the chronically broken auto.
There are only 2 workable solutions to this problem:
1. People step in and donate to alleviate the financial burden.
2. The person is healed.
The first solution has the benefit to those who donate of knowing they are helping someone in need. It also creates a feeling of thankfulness in the sick toward those who donate.
The second solution is best as it means health to the sick and relief from financial burden. This is the solution that Christ Jesus has provided through his broken body.
Forcing people to pay for other's needs is immoral. This is what the government does. There is no accountability. There is no cost control. There is no thankfulness. There is no end to the cost increases because there is no incentive to change the situation. It becomes a process that people accept. It becomes their way of life.
