Whenever you Pray it is a Good time to Pray in the Spirit.
Likewise the Spirit also helps our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. -
Praying In The Spirit is critical because of the dullness of our minds.     Our Prayer Language is a vehicle by which our infirmities are healed.

But you, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, -
pray in your Prayer Language to be strengthened spiritually, physically and mentally meditating on the Word Ofthe Lord on which your faith rests.

Paul said that he spoke with tongues more than all the people at corinth.     He was talking about exercising his Prayer Language.

In order to Pray in the Spirit you must be Baptised in the Spirit.

How do you get Spirit Baptism ?
The same way you got Saved.

You recognize the need.

You ask in Faith.

You Receive by Faith.

You Praise and Thank God for the Spirit Baptism.

You begin to Speak without formulating the Words allowing the Holy Spirit to Give the utterance.

That's it.   When you are ready, He is.

Your Prayer Language is for your edification.   Exercise it often!

Remember, Prayer is to prepare.

The Holy Spirit will prepare you through your Prayer Language better than you can through your thoughts and Words.

Do You Pray In the Spirit ?   by Barry Bennett Tongues is not wild emotionalism or robotic gibberish.   Praying in the Spirit is a tremendous blessing and advantage for believers to be able to pray perfect prayers and become sensitive to the things of God as never before.   That which is conceived in the Spirit can be revealed to the mind.   This is truly how we have access to the “mind of Christ.” For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries.    () - In English you can only pray what you know in your limited understanding.   When you pray in tongues you are limited to what God knows, and God knows everything, even the mysteries that will unlock your abundant life.
He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself.    ()

- Praying in the Spirit builds you up and makes you more aware of the things of God on every level.
For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful.    ()

- When your spirit prays, it is praying the perfect prayer for you and for others.   The Spirit prays beyond your own understanding.
I thank my God I speak with tongues more than you all; ()

- Paul considered this important enough to spend more time than anyone praying in tongues in his personal life.
But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit ()

- Praying in the Spirit builds us up in our faith.
Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.    ()

- If praising God in English is a blessing, how much more praising Him in the language of the Spirit?   While some may doubt that this verse is about tongues, I certainly believe it can include tongues and I have faith for that.
Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.    ()

- Again, some may disagree because it speaks of “groanings which cannot be uttered” in the previous verse, nevertheless, if we are praying in the Spirit, He is making intercession for us according to God’s will.   I don’t believe the context of groanings changes the concept of the Spirit making intercession as well through tongues.

Don’t limit your prayer life to what you know or think you know.   Let the Spirit pray through you and unlock the blessings of God in your life!
