Perversion takes many forms. Most of the time Perversion is not the goal when a path is taken leading to it.
Humans are Created for Relationship with God. God Created Gender and made woman for man and man for woman. All other aspects of Creation were for man's use. In particular, Animals were Created to serve man as food and for Work.
Christ commanded us to Love one another as well as God. He never commanded us, expected us or wanted us to Love Animals. The Bible also indicts those who Worship the Creation more than the Creator.
Man has a limited capacity to think, act or emote. Whatever we turn our attention has a consequence in terms of opportunity cost. If we direct our attention to one thing, other things are ignored.
When a person focuses inordinate amounts of time, attention and resources on an Animal they have perverted God's plan and violated His Will. What is inordinate? I will leave that to you and God to determine.
There are so many people in need that any time we spend doting on Animals and meeting their needs is immoral.
Love your Animal if you must, but don't be Deceived about it as Perversion of God's Will.
